Bridges by EPOCH at Westwood Treats My Mom Like Family

I made the very difficult decision in July 2020 to move my mother into a memory care facility - during COVID, with only virtual tours available at all the facilities I looked into for her. The staff at Bridges in Westwood was amazing. The fearless staff handled the pandemic with grace and love for our loved ones. One staff member literally stopped us in the hallway to give my mom a hug. It brought a smile to my mom's day, which again reinforced we made the right decision. The facility is beautiful - a welcoming lobby, wonderful courtyard and deck area, and many places for the residents to gather with one another. The monthly activities calendar is always robust. I can honestly say Bridges treats my mom like family and knowing she's loved by the staff, given wonderful meals each day, is safe and treated by nursing staff when necessary has lifted so much weight off my shoulders. I highly recommend Bridges by EPOCH at Westwood!

Very productive visit. Focusing on a dedicated memory care provider could possibly be the best for my wife. The visit likes others brings added questions which are to be expected as we must review all the leases and disclosures to become properly informed. An example for us is what is my status as I hold [name removed]. How will critical support decisions be shared with me as [name removed] may not be able to judge. 24X7 nurse is a very good feature. Comparing group based care vs. dedicated at homme care is an exercise I still want to do.

Moving my dad to Bridges has created peace of mind for everyone.

The leadership team and staff at Bridges has exceeded all expectations and facilitated a swift, comfortable transition for my father. They're friendly, responsive, efficient, they return phone calls and emails, and they are always available. There are absolutely no unpleasant smells. I have never seen any stains on the floors or walls. There are fresh flowers, the furnishings are immaculate with no dust., and his bathroom is always clean. He loves the food and tells me it's always good. We'd like to see more activities, but I think with Covid they've done a great job.

Kind, Friendly and Attentive, a Fabulous Place for Mom

My mother was hesitant to move into any assisted living facility, but after only one visit she was convinced. Bridges by Epoch in Sudbury has an outstanding staff and a wonderful physical layout. Even with Covid-19 restrictions, the staff tries to do everything they can for your loved one. My mother always has a positive comment about the staff - from the people who clean her apartment, the chef and the aides to the Director. She couldn't be happier!!

Engaging, Caring Memory Care

My mother in law has been a resident at Hingham Bridges for 1-1/2 years. The facilities, staff, and activities are wonderful. They have not had any Covid infections since the pandemic began. The residents are not in their rooms except to sleep. They spend time in their living areas socializing together, and there are large living room and kitchen/dining areas where the friends are all together. Clean, bright, sunny, and the staff are cheerful and caring. Each wing has about 16 residents, and they all have access to large sunny courtyards that are beautifully landscaped, with paved pathways for walks, and rocking chairs, tables and umbrellas for visiting and socializing. The residents can go out to the courtyard on their own during nice weather. Each day there is a full calendar of activities, even during the pandemic. They continue to bring entertainment in--and have had several concerts and activities outdoors in the courtyards, and indoors while everyone is wearing masks and is socially distanced. They do crafts, memory activities, games, art and there is a lot of one on one time. There is also a hair salon on site, and the dentist and podiatrist visit monthly for anyone needing appointments. My husband, my mother in law and I could not be happier with her care. They even somehow make her ground food medical requirement tasty as their chef really cares!

Bridges By Epoch At Trumbull

They clean the resident rooms on an on going basis, rather than weekly. The rooms and common areas are always spotless. They are meticulous about how the community looks. The staff takes an integrated approach to the care of the residents. There are activities staff, care giving staff, the administrative staff all work together to give the best care. All of the staff knew each resident's name and made an effort to get to know them and the families personally. They treated my dad very well and were always respectful and polite. We did have one issue where they didn't honor our family doctor's request to not transport my father to hospital. With this said, it did not detract from our overall experience with the care that they gave. The care they provided was outstanding. We though they had a lot of good activities that involved families coming in for meals or outside entertainment like musicians. In looking at the schedule of activities, it seemed like some of the activities they had planned ended up just being TV time rather than an actual activity. When they did bring the residents off-community, they wouldn't always be able to take everyone. We did think Bridges was a good value for the price, especially given the level of care and attention they were providing to the residents. If you have a family member or loved one that needs memory care, we would definitely recommend Bridges over an assisted living community with a memory care floor. Bridges is built and trained for memory care top down and that leads to very complete, competent , and compassionate care. Even the food is prepared such that nothing is a choking hazard and they present each resident with each food option on a plate rather than just on a menu. They really do a good job of meeting the residents where they are. We felt safe and felt that dad was receiving very good care here. Family members were also welcome any time day or night.

They get an A+

Especially during the Covid-19 pandemic, the staff has continued to do a fantastic job. They have been keeping everything air tight and clean and have done everything they can to protect the residents. They are at present free of cases. They have been very vigilant with keeping the place clean. They have really gone the extra mile with my dad. He had some special needs for a while after recovering from a fall, and they did a lot of extra work to make sure he was staying as healthy as possible. Several of the care giving staff have gone above and beyond to help him. He seems much more relaxed here than he did at previous communities and overall seems very happy. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for senior living for their loved one; I have complete confidence in Bridges. I can't say enough good things about them.

Praise for Bridges by EPOCH of Andover

We couldn’t have asked for better care for my parents during their residency at Bridges by EPOCH of Andover. The accommodations are spacious and comfortable and have a homey feel. There are numerous activities to engage the residents. But best of all are the many staff members who go the extra mile in their compassion and commitment to the health and well-being of the residents. The current pandemic has made their job complicated and dangerous but their dedication hasn’t faltered.

Great activities, good layout

I have been impressed with how they have handled the Covid crisis and how they have kept the residents safe. They are a great place for memory care, you just need to be aware of the upfront fees. They did not explain that well in the beginning. The layout is great, everything is on one floor. Food is excellent. They have a great secured outdoor space with plants, bird feeders and walking paths for the residents to enjoy.. The activities director is wonderful, she does a great job keeping the residents busy with fun activities.
