For anyone asking, this is what I think about our experience so far. I am extremely happy with Aegis. It is the perfect place for my mom. They take such good care of her and are so genuinely caring and attentive. I can't say enough good things about our experience there. They get a million stars, points, whatever for the entertainment during resident happy hour and family nights. Mom has been there two months now and my life has improved tremendously also, as I am less stressed-out managing her care.

I would say mostly 5 across the board. Maybe a 4 for Admistrative staff. The facility and staff are great and my father-in-law has settled in really well. We would definitely recommend Crescendo Senior Living Assisted Living and Memory Care to other families based on the experience.

Overall, we are very happy with The Vistas of Oxnard Senior Living Center. The administrators are awesome; every single encounter I have had with the staff has been courteous and professional. The facility is clean. The food is actually one of the best things that my dad has to say about this place, and my dad is a very picky eater, so that is saying a lot! They have a movie every night which my folks enjoy from time to time. I think that overall, the people that work there actually care about the residents which is huge. As for my Mom, she loves the fact that they have an on-site hairdresser!

The staff are great. I think they could use a couple of extra aides. Everyone is really friendly, and they're always trying to get the residents involved in activities. I just think they'd have more time to take the residents outside and provide more personal care if they had extra help. I still think we made the right decision to move my mom to the Gardens.
