My tour guide was friendly, quickly understanding my reason for the tour, and the uncertainty of my situation--primarily a better understanding of what was available in memory care communities in the Auburn-Opelika area, in the event that it become desirable or necessary to move my sister from her current accommodation.

The Neighborhood's memory care unit helped us tremendously with my loved dealing with dementia. They went above and beyond to assist our family as whole when moving my loved one was too much to bear on her spouse of 61 years. The help, guidance, and support given was over the top. The care is excellent and my loved one is at more peace than she had been in over a year. So very thankful for the people at the Neighborhood.

My father-in-law was in a two bedroom and there is plenty of room. Lots of storage. They have many activities. The residents can take part in. They have a dining room that you can purchase food in during the morning to 7 o'clock, I think at night. Is clean and has a pool and a little play area with climate structures for children. A putting green Pickleball, chess lawn. It has an exercise room. It also has a salon where you can get your haircut once a week if you would like. Of course the food and the salon are extra charges. They also do many activities where they take the residence on a bus to go to Walmart, Publix, Dollar tree, Kroger. Lots of spaces to sit outside and get fresh air. It has a dog walk and a dog run. You can be outside with your dog enclosed in the fence. Well manicure lawn. very convenient to everything. I think it's the best place to be in the Opelika Auburn area.

Good conversation, good information from knowledgeable people, and then toured clean, spacious apartment. Wide range of services. I would recommend to others.

The Phoenix at Milton is amazing! The facility was spotless and beautiful, all staff were friendly and helpful, and the residents seemed very happy.

Dad says they take good care of him here. His room is cleaned weekly. I would absolutely recommend them to others who are looking for a place for their loved one. Dad loves the beautiful back area outside.

The Neighborhood at Sheffield was clean and the staff was very accommodating. The staff and residents were friendly and the residents all had positive things to say about the facility. [name removed] was especially helpful in giving me information needed for the placement of our loved one. I am very impressed!

It's great. My facility is one floor and I have french doors to the outside.

They are a very active community. Lots of opportunities of different varieties to get out and interact with others in the community. They are also very willing to schedule something tailored to a specific resident so they can share their interests with the group. The staff is attentive and genuinely caring to the residents.

I used A Place for Mom to find Phoenix at James Creek and Mom and I couldn't have been more satisfied with the choice. For the 27 months she lived there she was well cared for, enjoyed the amenities and programs, and made her apartment a personal and wonderful home. Management is always engaged and available, and the Wellness Staff are kind, caring, and attentive to everyone's needs. Everyone there told me stories about Mom that proved how well they knew and interacted with her, and I saw it with everyone who lived there whenever I visited. My experience with Phoenix at James Creek was easy and professional, I felt comfortable with Mom being there.

Overall the community, leadership, staff, and fellow residents are great. I give them all a rating of 5. If there is any improvements needed I would say the meals need to be more heart healthy, offer options to address specific health issues like diabetes, and have more variety. Also new staff need to receive better training and monitoring until they can confidently care for the residents.

It's been an amazing experience. From the tour to my father's assessment. When my father arrived on first day the entire staff was there to great him.

The facility and staff are friendly, responsible, helpful, and loving toward the patients.

The staff treats my mother like a cherished family member. I believe they need more staff in the kitchen and more servers. I think less fried food would be healthier and more tender meats served.

They were awesome to deal with. Very friendly. Staff is very helpful and will do as much as possible to help you be independent. They go above and beyond.

The overall tour and facilities were very nice. The biggest negative factor for me is the location is about 30 minutes from my home. A few other items is if the resident chooses to have a pendant there is a monthly fee. I also noticed that the walk-in shower has a little lip where you have to step up instead of just walking straight in. However, as I mentioned above, overall it is a very nice facility.

I really enjoyed my visit and it is my plan to become a resident within the next 30 to 60 days. I really enjoyed meeting [name removed].
