A place with love and caring.

This is a place that you will feel good about leaving your family member under their watch. They make your family member feel like they have a second family. They will treat your family member with love and respect. This gives you the peace of mind when you cannot be with them. The home was always clean and cozy. And the food is excellent.

Vista Sandia-mom's place

The residents are well cared for they let you visit as much as you want but during designated times which is most helpful their staff is really good. They notify you immediately if something is happening with your parent. The place is really nice. It's like a home that is remodeled to for the residence for it to be a care facility

Very caring care takers

Very caring staff. Cleanliness of the facility. Accommodating to the family. Encouraged the residents to participate in the activities. Staff provided personal care with concerns for the residents abilities. Would highly recommend this facility to anyone that has a loved one who is in need of assistance with their daily living needs. Staff also had experience with residents with memory loss and responded with compassion.

Strongly Recommended

The owner and the entire staff at Willowwood Assisted Living were incredibly kind and considerate and clearly enjoyed taking care of everyone. My father passed just after midnight and the night staff stayed with him in his passing hours, holding his hand and giving him comfort. I am so grateful. I strongly recommend anyone with a challenged loved one to speak with [name removed] and his staff, as I know you will learn what I am writing about here. They are Angels!

Would recommend for a high level of care.

I would certainly recommend Vista Sandia. When my wife was there, I knew she was being made as comfortable as possible, and she was safe there. The staff were as responsive as possible to her needs. Everything in the home was neat and clean. I thought they did a darn good job with somewhat limited staff and a full house of about 10 occupants at the time, both in keeping everything clean and in looking after their patients.

Our families experience

Vista Sandia is a house and the residents are frequently out in the common area interacting with each other and not being isolated in their rooms. The staff talk to our loved one and try to help. They offer up a lot of services, and is being well taken care of. We are happy with how things are going so far. We would recommend this community to others.

Great place for memory care needs

From speak with our loved one she seems to be very happy with the meals they serve at the community. What really stood out to us in the beginning and why we choose Willow Wood was because of the owner. He is so personal, he showed so much care towards our family and to our loved one, he is so sincere and continues to uphold that care.

It feels like a home

The staff members at Willowood Assisted Living are so great and friendly and our loved one is really well taken care of. He always looks clean and is being fed really well. We have absolutely no complaints or see any red flags with this community. His favorite thing is sitting outside in the courtyard to enjoy the fresh air. They have people come and play music for the residents. They have exercises, and what we really liked is before our loved one moved in they already had a dresser and a bed for him. The community does not feel clinical at all, not sterile but like a home. Also communication is very important to our family and they communicate with us about everything no matter how big or small something may be.

Can use some repairing & cleaning. Also more care and attention to hiring of people to care for loved ones.

My loved one experienced some animosity from a male worker. But I believe they got rid of that employee. I probably wouldn't refer anybody here. My loved one says the food is not that good. He is not eating a lot and has lost quite a bit of weight. There is not much going on - activities are nonexistent to maybe once a week. I really only see them watching TV. Bu the morning lady is excellent. I love her. And the one who takes care of him at night does pretty good by him as well.

We liked the caregivers here, but the residents seemed to be in worse shape than Mom and they were sleeping or staring into space. Mom would not be comfortable in this environment with only a bed. She wants a room to herself. There are few activities here to stimulate mood.
