Caring Places Management

Hearthside Manor has proven to be an excellent choice for my mother. She entered the facility one year ago and the staff has been attentive and caring and worked hard to gain her trust. My mom enjoys the meals that are prepared for each resident with consideration toward their personal dietary restrictions. Additionally, the Resident Care Coordinator (RCC) has responded positively and professionally to issues that have arisen over the past year, whether to provide comfort & support for minor illnesses such as a cold, or major events such as a fall or more serious illness such as pneumonia. The RCC cares for her residents as though they are family and this personal connection has proven to be a relief for me and my siblings knowing that our mom is being valued and well cared for. Hearthside Manor has been an excellent choice for our mom & family and I trust your loved one will be well served by them as well.

5 nice place, clean no bad smells nice friendly workers. Not overwhelming with things you would see in a nursing home atmosphere. Thank you for the help in finding this place for my Dad. Yes the food looks good the great smell if it would have been bad that would have changed my mind. Friendly helpful staff.

When my sister and I walked into Hearthside Manor looking for a home like environment for our 97 year old Mom, we realized it fit her needs quite well. The warm welcoming staff set us right at ease and we knew it was the place after months of looking for a good place for her.

The staff is friendly and communicates well and the community is relatively small. It would be if there were more activities but, it is memory care

Smaller facility makes it easier for Mom to get to know staff and residents. Plenty of activities - she especially enjoys music. They accommodate her vegetarian diet. The rooms have more storage space than the ones we compared. She likes her room.

Mom passed away on [date removed] last year. Creekside was an amazing place! I still go there once a week and volunteer. The staff from the administrator down to the maintenance person are all fully committed to the residence! Such a great place.

I would say to them " we looked at a lot of places and when we talked with the administrator there was am immediate connection, she was informative and it was easy to see that they cared very much on giving the residents a relaxing and safe place to be. Trust your instincts.

The staff members really stood out to us when we first were looking into Awbrey Place. Based on the experience we have had so far we would have to give them a 5 for everything, we and would recommend this community to other families who may need a place for their loved ones.

The management and staff at Creekside Place are very nice and helpful. Creekside is a smaller facility than where my mother lived previously, so it seems easier for all of the employees to know my mom and to keep an eye on her. There's more flexibility and a bit less feeling of rules and procedures for everything than there was at the larger facility. With a one-story building, my mom doesn't have to navigate elevators and she can't get lost. The building is one floor in a rectangular plan, so if she just keeps walking she will find her room soon. The housekeeping is fine, and all of the staff is friendly. My normally cheerful mom was confused, tired and cranky the day she moved in, but the staff was understanding, and my mom quickly got back to her usual self. The hardest part for my mom of being in a facility is dietary requirements, mostly being a vegetarian. At her previous facility, she got a menu at every meal with vegetarian options. At Creekside, you don't know what you're eating until it's placed in front of you. Creekside is willing to provide her with vegetarian options, but we provide the soy milk and some vegetarian alternatives, such as soy products. (One of the ritzier places in Vancouver said that their accommodation for vegetarians was to just not give them the entrée!) She hasn't been complaining about the food at Creekside, so I assume they're working it out. I bring her snacks, too. Unlike her previous facility, there's always plenty of parking right by the front door. I would recommend Creekside Place because the people are nice and the smaller facility has a homier feel. They have just as many activities that my mom can participate in and she seems happy there.

I would recommend AP, but family always need to advocate for their loved one. This facility has a family feel, where larger facilities seem to be more like staying in a fancy hotel, somewhat impersonal.

My loved one was a resident at Hawthorne House and everything was great. They were so good with us. They were very comforting during COVID and handled everything we needed with our family member. I would highly recommend this facility to family and friends.

The care that my loved one is receiving at Hearthside Manor exceeds our expectations. My loved one is the happiest we've seen her in years. Her every need is met and beyond. The staff really care and try to anticipate every want and need. The activities are appropriate for people with memory issues and music therapy is used daily. The food is carefully planned and prepared. We couldn't be more pleased with this facility.

I love living at Hillside Place Assisted Living and Memory Care in Lincoln City for a number of reasons: with 33 rooms, it has all the amenities without me getting lost in a large crowd; wonderful, helpful, caring staff who work together to provide for my every need; beautiful location in the trees near the ocean; large rooms with lots of light; three chef-prepared meals in a spacious Dining Room or brought to my room; van and bus to take me to doctor's appointments and fun outings; fun activities held every day; a quiet, clean, comfortable, safe place to live. I love it here.

Mom seems happy every time I visit, and she likes the staff that cares for her. It's a piece of mind that we know that she is in a safe environment

We are very delighted to have picked the Forest Grove Beehive community for our loved one, she is settling in really nicely and is very happy. They have plenty of different activities for the residents to get involved. We have already recommend this community to other families and we will definitely continue to do so.

Overall, my loved one likes the food. They do a good job of taking care of my loved one. They could improve by adding more staff. I would recommend to other families.

We really like just how homey Awbrey Place is, it is not to large to where it feels institutional. Our loved one is thrilled with the meals and dining service and based on our experience so far we would recommend the community to other families.

Creekside Place might not be the fanciest community on the block but it is very clean, well kept, well managed and homey. The staff members are so warm, friendly and professional - they are this communities best asset. We really like them and our loved one really likes them and they are so patient with all the residents there. Our loved one is generally happy with the meals and we do see a few snack carts around the community throughout the day. It is set up almost like a donut - so the residents can walk around and not get lost or hit a dead end. They garden at the community which is great and based on our entire experience so far we would recommend this community to other families

I had a virtual tour with Awbrey Place since I lived out of state and [name removed] who I worked with was wonderful and very accommodating. I had a great tour but unfortunately they only had a studio apartment available. I have a very large family and I just did not see how they would ever be able to come visit. I appreciated [name removed] honesty with me when he told me it would be a while before they would have a 1 bedroom available.

I wrote a review 8 months ago. But I feel I need to write another. My mom passed away over 2 weeks ago. She has lived at Awbrey Place for over 5 years. I'm overwhelmed by the office staff, nurse's, aid's, janiator, handyman. All have treated mom with love, compassion, respect. I've seen it and experienced it myself. The past 1 1/2 yr.s has had the best staffing EVER. Everyone works like one big family. When mom passed, so many of the expressed their love they had for mom.THANK YOU ALL . Your love and support will always be in my heart. Thank you from all my family.
