Fantastic facility and staff. Price is great for the area. Staff is wonderful.

My life here at Gardens Care Scottsdale in enriched by the consistent friendship exhibited by both staff and fellow residents. The activities that are provided for us are nicely balance both in friendly and content are welcomed by many. We enjoy a clean and comfortable environment as well.

For us the process was very smooth. The staff has been very responsive to any questions or concerns. My dad has had no complaints- he likes the staff. He was made an ambassador of his floor within weeks of his arrival and he knows everyone. We're very happy thus far.

My dad passed away in [date removed]. The people at truewood are amazing. Everyone was cheerful and always helping without being asked. I would highly recommend them.

Having been a resident here for almost a year, Truewood by Merrill Scottsdale community and I are virtually a perfect fit. We have it all: terrific residents, competent and caring staff, tasty and wholesome food and comfortable and well-maintained accommodations. I give Truewood my highest commendation.

These people are extremely nice. Everything my father needs they offer. They take him to his doctors appointments and have activities to help him meet new people. He enjoys all of the meals. In fact, he goes down three times a day and meet up with his friends. Every single time we need to talk to someone at the front desk they are beyond helpful. My dad was one of those people who was absolutely against going into a assisted living place, but he really enjoys it.

Everything has been great except for the activities - there could be more activities for the residents to do. The value for cost is a burden but overall I think it is fair. Based on the experience we have had so far, I would absolutely recommend this community to others.

I went to visit Truewood by Merrill, Scottsdale twice, but it smelled dirty and the carpets were very dirty. They were the least expensive and the person who did the tour was very nice and did a great job. The smell just ruined the whole thing though.

Our family had an in person tour with Renew Saddle Rock Memory Care and we felt the tour experience and visit to be good. The staff members were very informative and really friendly.

We toured Truewood by Merrill, Scottsdale and it was great! They were all very kind! Our tour guide did a great job giving us a tour and showing us the property. The cleanliness was great, also!

It came down to Renew Saddle Rock and another facility for us. This seemed like a really great place and we had a good tour experience. The only reason we went with the other facility was because Saddle Rock did not have any private rooms available at the time and that is what we were looking for.

The top thing at Renew Saddle Rock is the medical care. The Physician's Assistant comes and does rounds every week if your loved one needs it. I like the mobile dentist that's there and the foot care they bring in. I really like the staff in general. The first person I met was the beautician, and I just loved her. But it turned out she's also part of the facility staff, and she's been really good to my mom, who often can't find her way back to her room. They're very kind about taking her back and saying "Oh it's this way. Do you know what part is next?" I've met the care director and have been pleased with that service that I didn't' know existed. The person who handles the meds is great too. I have been really pleased with the activities, and I especially love the activities director. She has made my mom feel very at home. She goes and picks her up and takes her to chapel services, and things like that are really important to me. We've only had experience at one other facility, and here at Renew Saddle Rock, we're paying less yet getting a ton more services.

The food is awesome especially compared to her last facility, they are all chef prepared meals. She does a mind diet so everything is fresh. They have a lot of great activities hey have art classes, a chapel, places to sit all over the place, a movie room, etc. They used to have something calling "cooking with [name removed]" and the residents would be able to help her cook and they really enjoyed that. I can call with a concern and they will call the doctor for me and arrange what needs to be done, they are great with communication. I feel that the entire staff is so loving. They have had minimal turnover and even when they are short staffed, her care does not lack. I would highly recommend Renew Saddle Rock to others looking.

I felt like the facility itself was very nice. I didn't get to experience any of the food or anything, but having read about how it was before Covid, it sounded similar to where my loved one was at in a different state. The rooms were decently sized, and they had different food choices for each meal. That part we were pleased with. I feel like it was a very nice place. Unfortunately we had a Covid experience there, so that kind of changed things, but I would still definitely recommend it to someone. The staff that I was able to talk to were very friendly. As far as I know everything was fine, and I didn't have any complaints, but I couldn't go in to visit. My assumption would be that the care was good. They would respond to my questions, I had no problems with that. They would call to notify me of any incidents, for instance when she fell and was taken to the hospital, where she tested positive for Covid. The lobby was very nice and clean when we moved her in. And we moved her stuff into her room the day before. Her room was all clean, and looked very nice as well. One of the staff members was very excited about decorating the room and having it all ready for her.

Our move-in was just prior to the quarantine of senior living facilities. The staff has been amazing. They helped with set up after we were no longer able to visit and they help with all the small tasks that I am no longer able to do. Any time I have a question, I know I can call, text or e-mail and I will have a very timely response. My mother often says they are so nice to me here. They arrange window visits and Face time visits whenever I request them.

I toured the community for my dad. He has Alzheimer's and needs placement in the future. I had heard some not so great things. However, was pleasantly surprised at what I found. No orders, clean residents and a friendly staff. [Name removed] reception met me at the door and I immediately felt like my dad would be a good fit.

Very nice facility. Very clean and nicely decorated. More independent and assistant living residents. Memory Care seemed by itself in a smaller area. Only saw one staff member cleaning dishes but I was told there was a 1 to 10 ratio. Great amenities for Independent and Assistant Living.

This is a nice community for care. We like the cleanliness of the community. The menu is nice and a good variety of meals. We do wish that they had phones in the room so that I can call. She is able to have cable and we find that helpful. We would recommend this community for the care of a loved one.

I had to put my husband into a Respite facility while I traveled out of town. This is a new facility and has the feel of a lodge. There is no TV in the bedroom because they encourage the residents to socialize with other residents or staff. All rooms are wired for TV if necessary, but this works really well. When I got back in town I immediately stopped by to let my husband know I was back, and there was a large group of residents around a big table having a pizza party. There are a lot of areas for groups or family to sit around a TV or a cozy area by the fireplace or game tables. I can't say enough about this facility.

Beautiful place, nice staff, a great place to start. We think we've found a perfect place for mom.
