My total experience has been great! [name removed] helped me get everything together and Mom's move went smoothly. She is very happy there. She likes her little one bedroom very much. She enjoys going for meals. And she loves when there is live music! So far the only small thing is the carpet in the main part of the building is pretty stained.

Today, [date removed], marks exactly one year since she was admitted. Over the past year, I've seen a lot of positive changes. She's doing much better overall, and the recent changes in administration have made a noticeable difference. Three major leadership positions were replaced, and while I was already happy with the facility before those changes, I'm even happier now. I understand that every nursing home has its challenges, but overall this facility has continued to improve. In every category I rated, I've seen positive progress. I'm very pleased with the care, the improvements they've made, and the direction the facility is headed.

The staff were great. The building was well lit and clean. My wife is just not ready for this transition, so we did not due a tour with her.

Very helpful, courteous people. [name removed] did a great job with the overview of the services and activities. Found the apartments small though.

I think peregrine at crossgates is a wonderful place for senior people. My mother-in-law, who is 98, lives there and she just loves it. She walks everyday. They have activities like bingo and exercise classes where she's moving different muscles. They go on outings and she just loves it and I don't think I could have found a better place for her.

My dad doesn't really participate in the activities except for music related and chapel. It's mostly game type of things that don't interest him. Because of his memory he often forgets/ doesn't know about outings. We love the facility and the people but had a $400 rate hike after less than a year there. The staff and community is wonderful. My dad moved 750 miles from NC up to Peregrine and he is very happy. He has made some great friends. The units/ housekeeping are very nice, clean and the perfect size. We were looking for an assisted living place with apartment style living vs single rooms. It also has a memory care unit that a loved one can move over to if needed. My dad has dementia so this is the perfect solution. To be honest, if my father had not moved up to Peregrine this past year, he would have died in his home. He had an urgent medical event there and they got him to the hospital very quickly and that saved his life.

Looking for a place for my brother. He would be very comfortable there it felt very much like a home. Not institutional at all.

Everything about it was positive. The staff was very supportive and wonderful, the facility was clean, and the activities were awesome. It was a great experience overall.

Peregrine gets 5 stars so far. We had great support through the admission process. It has been about three weeks that mom has been there. It has been clean and the staff are friendly. There is a chapel and a resident dog which is helping mom get settled.

Staff are incredibly friendly and engaged. Food was good. Room was excellent. Any small issues were addressed very quickly during my mom's stay. Would absolutely have her stay there again.

I had a positive experience. I was met by [name removed] who was very professional and showed me around the facility and answered my questions. It’s a very nice place with a lot of amenities.

I liked the homey feel. Very welcome. Katie was wonderful! I am thinking of making this my almost 93 year old Mom’s new home.

Facility was light and airy. Staff was friendly calling residents by name, seemly to know everyone. We visited at happy hour, several activities were taking place everyone seemed to be engaged, having a good time.Tour guide was very informative patient and answered all questions

The timeliness with which I was initially contacted was very impressive. I also felt the empathy and listening skills displayed by the agent was exemplary. The entire process went seamlessly. I would highly recommend contacting A Place for Mom as the first step for anyone searching for resources or information for their loved ones' care. The staff at Peregrine are very professional and do a great job of walking families through the entire residency process.

Peregrine was beautiful! Loved the atmosphere and all it had to offer! Clean, homely and rooms are spacious and offered all needed! Lots to offer for loved one’s looking for a place to stay with lots amenities to offer!! My tour was very comfortable and informative, answered all my questions!! They have everything that is needed to make my dad comfortable, active and socially involved. Thankyou Peregrine and staff!

[name removed] made a difficult time a lot easier. She was really knowledgeable about the facility, the type of care, etc. I’ve toured a few facilities and by far she is the only one who actually asked personal questions about my father and his needs. My uncle was here and my family talks highly about the facility. When the time comes, this is a serious contender.

They provide variety of socialization opportunities and are mostly user friendly. Clothes can disappear at times. If hard of hearing they do walk in on residents when they are indispose. Kept clean. Pretty environment surrounding property. Food is plentiful. Services provided are helpful.

[name removed] was so helpful and great with my dad. The staff are genuine, and the facility is fantastic! We will definitely be considering this as an option for dad! He was excited during the tour, and many of the residents were friendly and said hello to him as we passed through.

I was welcomed the moment I entered the facility. [name removed] was very nice and answered all the questions I asked. She explained clearly the policies and how the facility functions. I had a better understanding when I left. The faculty looks clean and well maintained. The residents had choices of things to do each day, which I liked. Overall, I was very happy with the tour.

Everyone there is very friendly, including both the staff and residents. The facility is kept very clean—my mother-in-law’s room is cleaned weekly, and the trash is taken out daily. The nurses also keep us informed and regularly reach out with updates on how she’s doing. The people at the front desk are always welcoming and take the time to chat with you. It truly feels like a place where people are happy to be, and that positivity shows.
