The staff have been friendly and have contacted me on the occasions when my aunt has needed something

My mom is happy and very content there and that's what I care about. She likes the food but I think they could have a better variety that's why I gave it 4. I believe most of the people are older ( my mom's 90) but very nice. She has a nice size One bedroom apartment, but they have different sizes from studio to 2 bedroom. She had housekeeper who cleans her room, changes sheets and washes towels and bedding. My mom adores her. She is independent living so she gets lunch and dinner; there are lots of exercises, movies, outings, driver for medical appointments and shopping, hairdresser and nail lady, bingo and several musical performers who come in, tea once a month plus many more things. There is a lot they offer but it doesn't seem overwhelming.

I am impressed with the staff and the activities they offered. Food was pretty good, too. For me, the access to the Care Manager for planning and in process checks needs a little work.

The care we are given by the staff, the food and choice of activities. It's a wonderful place, thank you for steering me in this direction. I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone.

It's been a good experience! The staff is accommodating and easy to work with. I would recommend to others, very nice atmosphere and the food is really good my mom enjoys it.

They are very helpful and friendly. They also accommodated a vegan diet. The facility is very clean.

I would give 5 stars , my mom is not thrilled with the food but I think it is more her circumstance than anything else. The food I've had has been fine.

Really liked the enclosed patio. Staff friendly and attentive. Care always consistent. Facility worked well with Hospice. Well planned and fun social events. Beauty shop was nice option. Always clean and safe spaces. Effort with attractive décor and seasonal.

It is clean and people are friendly and we feel that the positiveness of the staff is a big contributor to my mom's happiness there. There were some problems after she first moved there. Apparently she moved from 108 to 204 and nobody knew or expected it until after she was in… So rugs never got cleaned and walls did not get patched for quite a while. Phones took way too long to become operational. I think your handyman is probably overworked as the list he has for each day is probably more than he can complete. I also know in an operation like this there are lots of moving parts… Medicine, meals, new arrivals, work to be done… But overall I think the job is well done.

It's going good, it's a really good place. I would recommend them to others who are searching for a place for their loved one.

I enjoyed my time there overall. The community had a lot of structure and plenty of activities to choose from, but it was also easy to do your own thing. For example, if I didn’t feel like going to exercise class, I could simply walk a few laps around the building, which I often did. Meals were fairly convenient. I usually had breakfast in my room with tea, while lunch was served at 11:30 and dinner at 4:30. Dinner felt a bit early for me, but it did give people time afterward to relax and socialize. If the main meal didn’t appeal to you, there were always other options like burgers, hot dogs, soup and salad, baked potatoes, grilled cheese, or sandwiches. Those of us who still drove could also go out to eat if we wanted something different. Socially, there were nice opportunities to connect with people. They held two happy hours each week, which were enjoyable, and residents often gathered there to chat. I sometimes kept a bottle of scotch or wine in my room for evenings when I wanted something quiet instead. The apartments are on the expensive side, but my one-bedroom unit had plenty of space. Each floor had two washers and dryers, and I rarely had any trouble finding time to do laundry, although I still prefer having one in my own home. One thing I always appreciated was how safe the community felt. There was also shopping nearby, along with a post office, which made errands easy. For residents who didn’t drive, there was a bus available for medical appointments and monthly outings. There were also many amenities and activities available, including an activity room, a lovely library near the happy hour area, bowling, and a puzzle room where you could work on puzzles there or take them back to your apartment. They also had a beautiful grand piano, and someone would perform twice a week, which was always a treat. Overall, it offered a safe environment with plenty of activities and opportunities to socialize while still allowing residents the freedom to keep their own routines.

5 for all the above! We've had a great experience with Bonaventure of Puyallup! And my mom seems to be having a good experience. If she can afford to live there beyond this recovery period, she would like to stay there indefinitely.

Wish they were not just private pay! Others should know, that is a great place

This place was really good they had lots of activity and a movie theater, also happy hour every day!!the staff were kind and very caring, my husband was the problem, he would not join in and just sat in his room all day, he was 100/ disabled veteran, so very hard to find any place for him , big man, twice my size he was 84 I was 90 and it got too much for me to do, after 6 days I brought him home because he was being destructive, not the home which was very nice, I wouldn't mind going in there myself!!Husband died in [date removed] call me if you need more.

The staff is friendly, helpful, never feel put out. Food at dining is good, good variety however sometimes the stock runs out. Like sorry no you get, no hamburgers, but always options. Servers are friendly and always willing to help. It is a wonderful community all residents are friendly and helpful. Have not met a non-likable person . yet.

5 on every one of these! We would absolutely recommend this community to other families! I love the art room. I'm there most of the time early or late. The pub is great with live music Tuesdays and Fridays. One of our residents loves to play the keyboard. The BEST part? BonaVenture Milwaukie has independent, assisted and memory care all in one building, so everyone can come in to dance, eat, draw pictures or play games. We are one big family!

Upbeat...friendly....nice....no odor...great food....great staff....great activities

I think they do a great job of helping residence who need a variety of care, including onset dementia. They're very kind and helpful.
