They have friendly and helpful staff, additional care needed as moms health was in decline, one issue with after hours help, but problem fixed immediately.

Excellent services, very welcoming, clean, staff very kind. There were multiple options to support seniors.

Bickford is wonderful. The staff is great and the facilities are lovely and clean. My sister is very happy there. I would recommend it. The staff has been wonderful and the facility is really nice. It is clean and modern and very homey. My sister is very well taken care if and very happy there. Being able to have get dog has made a huge difference for her. I also really appreciate your help. The room size was adequate for us. [name removed] was only staying for a short time. Bickford was exceptionally accommodating. We were able to book a retreat stay on relatively short notice. The activities were very good and we heard that the food was pretty good too. It was sufficiently clean and the workers seemed to care about the residents. The only negative is that any maintenance requests were not handled in a timely manner. It took a week to figure out the TV service. None of the other workers seemed to know how to operate it. The closet door hasn't been working correctly for several weeks now. Overall this has been a very pleasant experience.

We were very impressed with the presentation. We have looked at 3 facilities and right now we would consider this one. We do have more questions about the cost.

Thank you for helping me. My son is getting settled at Bickford. You were helpful in finding facilities for me to consider. I added others. Some of my considerations were location near north Columbus, friendliness, accepting Medicaid as payment, and programs. I am disappointed in the latter at Bickford because they don't provide a Protestant Christian worship service. They have only a Catholic mass. In this kind of process you must use your best judgment to select a facility and make the best of it.

This was the first facility that we looked at. And the bar was set extremely high. It is so beautiful there and everyone is so friendly. We still have a few others to look at, but Bickford Still Remains our number one choice.

We feel Bickford is a lovely memory care facility. Our mom has been there for 6 weeks. She calls it her home now. When we have had concerns they have been addressed in a timely manor. We have recommended to others.

Understanding, personal, patient. There was some struggle with move in, but I think that had to do with the property changing hands, and requirements suddenly changing. All in all, my mother has not made this easy for anyone, and I think they have all done the best they can to get her settle down, and settled in. They could see that I was my mother's trigger, and her main focus for belligerence, so they asked me to leave. Never been more relieved in my life. They flat out said, This is what we do. Go home, sleep, eat, don't come back for a few days.

I was contacted by phone and received an invitation to tour Bickford Place and its independent living apartments that were currently available. Our hostess led us through the spacious common area that serves as a dining area. Then we were shown two apartments of differing sizes and on different levels of the building. She was very patient in letting us take our time in looking at each unit and in answering all of our questions. After touring the all of the levels, she shared an informational booklet with us, thoroughly explained pricing and very knowledgeably answered additional questions. Bickford Place is a very clean and attractive facility that houses individuals of varying needs. As one of the residents mentioned to us: It’s a very nice place to live.

The leadership team is always very helpful and open to learning about the residents. They seem very caring and receptive. They communicate with the families clearly and don't hesitate to reach out withe questions or concerns. The facility is inviting and clean. It has a "country club" vibe to it. There are many places for residents to hang out.

We had a limited experience. The staff and caregivers seemed kind and attentive. They provided many activities for residents. The food was good. Like, actually tasty and nutritious. You could tell they had a great chef on staff. Her room was nice and just the right amount of space for her, with a beautiful bay window. My great Aunt was only there for a week, though. She was 100 and passed shortly after moving in. The staff was helpful and we received refunded payments, promptly.

I’m disappointed my mom doesn’t qualify to stay in such a beautiful institution because I have been looking at places that accept Medicaid that have memory care and I have found it very sad.Bickford looks more like home and feels like a great place for her.

I love this facility! If it is within your budget I highly recommend it. The staff was lovely and the residents all sang their praises.

We were truly grateful for our time At Bickford. [name removed] and her entire staff are the definition of going above and beyond for each of the residents. It's a small facility but truly big on heart and caring, and I say that not trying to sound cliché. But as a concerned child from far away, I was always so relieved with knowing that the staff at Bickford were really looking out for my mother and her husband, the way that I would. I could not have been happier with the care that they received, the communication from the entire Bickford staff, and the individualized hands-on care that was provided to my mother and her husband every single day. I honestly cannot recommend Bickford high enough!

Visited to start our search for the pending placement of my 98 yr old Mom. [name removed] did a real nice job with information and your along with giving us food for thought as to help make best decision for Mom. We liked Bickford.

I was impressed right away by the level of activity in the main lobby/activity area. I noticed nurses or aides wandering among the residents and speaking to them, offering help if needed. The facilities were beautiful and clean. The medical services available are impressive. Overall I was very pleased with my tour and with [name removed] knowledge of the facilities and the residents. She called all of those we saw by name which I liked. If I were to give it a rating this facility deserves a 10/10.

On May 11, 2026, I visited Bickford Senior Living in Fredericksburg VA as I was researching the facility on behalf of a very hesitant parent. I was greeted by Whitney. Whitney was extremely helpful in answering all of my questions regarding the community, costs, etc. The staff was very friendly & the facility was very well maintained.

Bickford has been amazing ! The assessment for my grandmother had a personal feeling and genuine evaluation. The facility is well kept, clean, and the staff is inviting and kind. Bickford has a budget friendly approach and offers a military discount. We are excited to choose Bickford for my grandmother and are looking forward to the thriving and independence she will gain.
