Cornerstone was recommended to my family for our Mom by A Place for Mom. It was great working with Amy! She is very understanding & found us just the perfect community for our Mom. Everyone at Cornerstone has made my Mom really feel welcome! They have been very helpful & friendly in getting her familiar with every aspect of the community. Cornerstone has a lot to offer.

Amazing Staff and leaders!

We love it! They are more independent living but they do go to church services. The friendliness of the people there is really outstanding. It's a very warm, caring atmosphere. They have eaten there, but they pay for their meals since it's not assisted living.

The staff has been very engaged and caring. We're just very pleased with Cornerstone. My mother goes to church service which is good and she's gone to some of the movies. She's gone to when there is music in the common area. I'm not sure if she went on one of the shopping junkets but I know that's an available activity. She makes use of the on site beautician, which she finds convenient, and goes to the doctor who comes on site. My mom is happy with everything. The only thing she says about the food is they give her too much and my advice to her is to eat all of it.

Elim Shores is a great place. A Place for Mom was spot on with their recommendations and Elim was the best match for my mom. She was resistant to moving but it has worked out as best as possible. The people are great. Everybody has extended themselves to my mother and the caregivers are kind and gentle with her. They do what she needs them to do without being intrusive. My mother has only been there for two weeks and hasn't had time to participate in the activities yet but they are available and appropriate for her. This is a really nice, low-key, home-like environment. I have nothing but positive things to say.

This place is wonderful for the right person. Not for me right now. I am much too active for this type of place.

Nice facility!

My mom was one of the longest living patients here. She recently passed away after 8 long years. She was well loved by the staff and well treated. The staff was always friendly and caring as far as I could attest to. It's a difficult job with many degrees of memory loss among the individuals. Thanks for taking such good care of my mother.

My mother has been at Emerald Crest Mtka for over two years, and we are very happy with it. We love the layout! There are 12 bedrooms circling a large living room and dining room. I like that they have bedrooms, not apartments, which encourages residents to leave their bedroom and come out to where all the action is. And there are activities available seven days a week. Emerald Crest has three houses, each with different levels of dementia, which works really well. I wanted mom to be with other Seniors who have similar mental and physical capabilities as she does, so that she could make friends. It has worked out really well, and she has made friends. I remember walking her to a table for lunch one of the first days she was there. Her whole face lit up when she saw who she would be sitting with. She didn’t know their names, but she knew that she liked them. Mom has gotten excellent nursing/health care at Emerald Crest. When mom moved in, she had infected diabetic ulcers on her feet and legs that we thought would kill her. She has gotten such good care at Emerald Crest that when these diabetic ulcers do occur, they are quickly treated before they can get worse. I feel that they are no longer a threat to her life. The staff at Emerald Crest has always quickly responded to our questions and concerns. Because I am confident about the quality of care my mother is getting, I don’t worry about what is happening when I’m not there. I’m able to go on vacation, and even travel out of the country, knowing that my mother is being well cared for. I highly recommend the Minnetonka Emerald Crest.

We had a fantastic tour here, the community would be a nice fit for my parents, the staff was attentive, showed us all around and answered all our question. The problem was that my mom would need a mobile lift as she is immobile and they do not have one so we would have to purchase one on our own for her to be able to live there.

This community is nice. The staff is very nice and friendly. They do have activities here, but my brother is not wanting to participate. with others at this time. They need to try and help with more with the temperatures in the facility. Over all I would recommend this community for other families.

The community is small, attractive and it is at a nice location on the lake. The residents enjoy getting out & enjoying the weather and the view. I have had the pleasure of working with Mark and he is wonderful. My dad likes the cooks and servers in the dinning room and says the food is decent. Dad has made a lot of friends and enjoys listening to the visitors that come in, as well as attending the church services. The community also offers a shuttle bus for outings. One thing that is concerning to me is the fact that we dealt with a manager in our initial stages of contacting the community and she was abruptly let go. I really liked her and that was part of the reason we chose the community. Since she's left my experience with the staff hasn't been bad and I am hoping that everything goes as promised moving forward.

Nothing but good things to say about Elim Shores. The staff is first class and the place is kept very nice. My parents moved in beginning of November 2014 and are very happy. We are happy they found exactly what they were looking for and the location is perfect as well. Thanks to everyone that made this possible.

Facility is beautiful. I think only 3 years old. Very clean and lovely. We like the size of memory care as it feels very intimate, lots of games and activities and the staff is lovely

They have excellent staff, dining, cognitive activities, keep a watchful eye on her. I feel safe leaving her in their care. The problem lies with the new law concerning side rails etc with my Mom's issue with continuously falling there needs to be some kind of alternatives to help prevent them from falling. I realize no one can be with them 24/7 it's just not possible. I don't know what the answer is but hopefully someone will come up with something. I hope my input was helpful.

The staff is very nice. The apartment size dad has is good. Not too big not too small. The food and dining needs some improvement. Portion sizes are small. The food choices- some are too fancy for these older folks. French fries are always burnt. The facility is clean. Very nice looking. Nice location too. It's not huge. So dad is not overwhelmed. Overall it's been good.

Elim Shores has been great so far. While the building is older and there are drawbacks with that, the people are great and my mom is definitely feeling at home more and more all the time. I would recommend

Staff very good. Food good. When it becomes necessary I would recommend Meadowview.

The staff is friendly and knowledgeable about each resident's needs and desires. They are also receptive to family helping residents. My spouse is calmer than when she was in the previous Memory Care unit.

Assisted Living does not mean that you are off the hook. They demanded that I be there all the time and hired an outside company to help come take care of my dad. I would recommend them very highly. I do not think that this is specific to The Pines, I think the whole world was just living and had a life. Care is something that most people do not know how to navigate. It was a learning curve and it took me too long to learn it.The Pines was a beautiful place. Amazing to wonderful Care but they're expectations of me. The family was unbearable. They did hire a new administrator. My dad's last month of life and things started to improve greatly but then a lot of the damage has been done. They actually reported me to the police for neglect. I need to really stress that you are still your own family's advocate, no matter who you hire to take care of them. I had to watch the bill every month and review it every month with facility. I saw my bill go from $[removed] at a blink of an eye without even realizing what was happening again if you do not know the system you have no idea what's happening. Kind of like going out to buy a car so easily to get ripped off because you don't know what you're looking for when you buy a car if you're not only buy one every 10 years. I didn't realize you are a real person. I thought you were a computer. I do not want to harm The Pines in anyway, and I wouldn't still choose to use them again in the future. It's just that I learned a lot to this experience that I wish I would've known before. I bet you offer a class for people to understand the process that they're entering, I probably should've taken that class
