Chapel View has been better that expected for my parents. Two years ago they were having health scares, had no plan for next steps after their home and were looking to me for answers. The team at Chapel View helped them transition well. Amazing one bedroom apartment, great meals downstairs, new friends, caring staff and option of attached care center. On behalf of my parents, I recommend Chapel View Hopkins!

My Mom is here and is adjusting well. She’s in independent living so there aren’t many staff members, but the ones that are available are fine. There’s a cafeteria available if she wants to eat there, the food seems to be good, and her room has a kitchen if she’d prefer to cook for herself. The apartment is a pretty nice size and has a good sized bedroom with a lot of closet space. The living area is decent and the kitchen is about average. There are all kinds of activities that the facility provides for the residents like coloring, games, movies, walking groups, exercise, and crafts. The overall cleanliness of the building seems to be good as well. I would recommend them, especially for the cost effectiveness.

I moved my grandmother into Emerald Crest from another Augustana facility (Regent) in mid-Summer, as her ability to manage and organize her day declined alongside her memory. The teams at both EC and the Regent were incredibly helpful in placing my grandmother when her needs for care increased. The staffs at both facilities (notably [Removed] and [Removed] at Emerald Crest) were a source of guidance and reassurance during a stressful time. The Emerald Crest facility itself is very homey, and the large fenced-in backyard is lovely. While we are only a few months in to my grandmother's residence there, she appears to be thriving. Prior to the move, her emotional day-to-day experience could be best described as anxious, frustrated, and confused (due to the progression of her Alzheimer's), which I felt powerless to fix. This new environment was the solution: the staff at Emerald Crest gives her the structure she needs to feel confident and secure in her daily life, and that has made all the difference. I know my grandmother is safe at Emerald Crest. Her quality of life has improved. And, quite frankly, so has mine: I get to be her granddaughter again, enjoying her company and sharing quality time, instead of just being a worrier-caregiver. So grateful.

The home-like environment is definitely what my mom needs. She feels comfortable and safe at Emerald Crest. All staff members have done an awesome job of caring for my mom and improving the quality of life that dementia can steal away from patients. The programming is far superior to that of any other facilities we checked into. Emerald Crest not only cares for their residents; they provide valuable support for the families as well.

After my total knee replacement, I knew I would require occupational and physical rehabilitation formulated by thoughtful and sincere health care workers experienced in the special challenges senior face in to today’s busy world. I could go anywhere for these services but I chose Augustana chapel view for my care. The interview which Augustana had with me left me with a feeling of trust. I did the hard work and now I can reap the rewards of my hard work and feel confident I can maintain the independence I wanted for this time of my life. Truly a choice worth your Consideration.

Since moving into Emerald Crest, my husband is doing quite well. They are working with him and overall I think it is an amazing place. I am very happy. I already have recommended this facility to others because I have had a good experience. The appearance is great, I just find that it is so much calmer and there are so many activities. My husband participates in most of them.

I feel very "cared for" by staff at The Pines. Everyone here is very helpful. It's nice to know services are available when I need them. I have told lots of friends about how happy I am here.

I have nothing but good things to say about The Pines. I have lived here 2 years. I love the activities that are offered. The one of the greatest things about The Pines is how caring & loving the staff are. they have always been there for me, especially w/ the passing of my husband. I cannot think of one bad thing to say about The Pines. I am proud to call this my home.

[Removed] very kind soul and extremely knowledgeable! Place smelled nice ... I have a very sensitive nose :) Dining area has natural light coming thru making it a nice place to enjoy the outdoors - also enjoyed the sun room for the same reasons. Not your typical studio apt, which is what my dad would prefer due to cost, the sleeping area is separate from the living area and a good amount of storage. I am happy that it is pet friendly, I truly believe they lower your blood pressure and bring unconditional love. Another great feature, free laundry on each floor. If I could get you to put in an indoor pool it would be perfect (haha) -- water aerobics is easier on the body and an amazing workout.

Everything is going really well so far. The staff are doing the best that they can. They always keep trying to get mom involved with different activities. Mom says that the food is good sometimes. I know that they had a bit of a problem with cleaning mom's room, but as soon as I brought it to there attention it was resolved.

The experience with this community went very good. Although I wish they were capable of accepting my husband, they are only assisted living and they did not have any openings at the time. They called me recently to tell me they would keep me in mind.

For what they were doing with assisted and independent living their expertise was there. They checked on my mom and monitored her, they went out of their way. They were awesome, if they had more memory care I would have left her there. We needed a memory care.

It's Amazing. Everything has been impressive. The nursing staff is very attentive. The food is very good. They are good at including them in activities. It's clean, they have fresh paint. She is happy and we are happy. The more expensive place didn't seem any better than this. They were so patient and flexible when we were moving in.

Cornerstone was recommended to my family for our Mom by A Place for Mom. It was great working with Amy! She is very understanding & found us just the perfect community for our Mom. Everyone at Cornerstone has made my Mom really feel welcome! They have been very helpful & friendly in getting her familiar with every aspect of the community. Cornerstone has a lot to offer.

Amazing Staff and leaders!

We love it! They are more independent living but they do go to church services. The friendliness of the people there is really outstanding. It's a very warm, caring atmosphere. They have eaten there, but they pay for their meals since it's not assisted living.

The staff has been very engaged and caring. We're just very pleased with Cornerstone. My mother goes to church service which is good and she's gone to some of the movies. She's gone to when there is music in the common area. I'm not sure if she went on one of the shopping junkets but I know that's an available activity. She makes use of the on site beautician, which she finds convenient, and goes to the doctor who comes on site. My mom is happy with everything. The only thing she says about the food is they give her too much and my advice to her is to eat all of it.

Elim Shores is a great place. A Place for Mom was spot on with their recommendations and Elim was the best match for my mom. She was resistant to moving but it has worked out as best as possible. The people are great. Everybody has extended themselves to my mother and the caregivers are kind and gentle with her. They do what she needs them to do without being intrusive. My mother has only been there for two weeks and hasn't had time to participate in the activities yet but they are available and appropriate for her. This is a really nice, low-key, home-like environment. I have nothing but positive things to say.

This place is wonderful for the right person. Not for me right now. I am much too active for this type of place.
