Brookdale

I moved into Brookdale North Euclid a senior living facility.on [date removed], four months ago. Complaints yes, enough that my daughter asked if I wanted to move. NO! I feel safe and secure. I am particularly impressed with staff response to emergencies. I fell, 3 staff arrived in under 2 minutes, saw this same response again this week. Staff quickly learn your name, address you with respect and really seem to care and want to do a good job. Supervisors and managers respond with lightening speed to questions and complaints. May not immediately get your answer or problem solved. BUT you know you were heard. You can be as busy , active or inactive as you wish and/or are able. There is plenty to do. Residents are respectful of each other and most seem to like it here. Is it perfect? NO. That being said I would complain if I had a personal maid and chef. I am a very picky eater, allergies and tastes, they work hard to please me. They couldn’t pay me enough to work here with old folks

The staff is helpful when you need them. There is a nurse on staff and she is helpful to answer questions. However, it is difficult to get a hold of the nurse practitioner or doctor who is the one seeing patients at the facility. Sometimes it is hard to coordinate care. Also, I wish that they did "field trips" with the residents.

The rooms are spacious, staff is friendly. They know the residents and family members well. My Mom was always clean, and happy.

What stood out the most - Really great staff, especially the hands on caregivers. Room sizes are great. Amenities are in scale with the price.

The staff are caring and professional. The facility is charming, comfortable, spotless, and safe.

I think it's important to know the staff takes great care of the residents. The transition is hard on the family and residents and the entire staff was very helpful.

The staff at Brookdale are fantastic. They show care and love for each of the residents. They assist and always check on them. They talk to the residents in a calm and gentle way that is understanding to the residents. The staff offers their assistance even when the residents don't ask for it. Always friendly and caring.

Brookdale is great. Friendly helpful staff there, a great outdoor pond courtyard area , good food, excellent activities, and other residents are pleasantly interactive.

I appreciate Brookdale Folsom for the amazing staff. From the top staff at the facility all the way down to every wonderful caregivers. My mom loves the facility. She is constantly enjoying activities, music, dancing, and many of her friends that she has made at Brookdale Folsom. I appreciate all the friendly people when I come to visit my mother. They care for me just as much as they care for my mom.

Clean, well organized, lots of activities and she loves it. The location of town is not the best but being a gated community it is safe an d prices are good

One complaint: in order to have a special diet given to you you have to be on assistant living and my and my sister's on a independent living, but she needs a soft mechanical diet and they said oh we can't do that without a heavy charge so that's my only complaint that I don't see why no matter whether you're assisted living or independent living why you wouldn't be able to have them if you needed a special diet you wouldn't be able to get it.

Actually I would give a 5 on all counts. I was especially impressed with the cleanliness and the kind interaction from the entire staff they gave my mom.

I can't say enough good things about Brookdale Sleepy Hollow! They are like family! My mom was in the Memory Care unit and they took great care of her. She had a nice-sized room and we were able to choose a room that was best for her. Their Clare Bridge director was fabulous! She had activities for them all day & worked hard to make sure they stayed socialized, even if they shied away from group events. Mom was happy and had friends. That's so awesome! The staff were patient and caring and it was like having Mom in a home environment. The residents all ate together around dining room tables and were waited on by the staff. There were movie nights with popcorn and special events that families could come celebrate (e.g. Easter, Mother's Day). They offer end-care services too, and they took wonderful care of my mom until the end. I loved their care for her and feel close to so many there - they made my last months with my mom good memories and I cherish that!

Very nice place very clean our dad loves it there . Food is like a restaurant dad very happy.as we are great nursing and medical staff.

The staff at Brookdale Brookhurst has been amazing. Specifically,[name removed}, the sales coordinator, went above and beyond. Her personal touches and care during the most difficult time in our lives are so appreciated. It wasn't just a sale to her. My dad's health took the turn for the worse the day we moved him into the facility, and [name removed] lent us a bed (even made the bed) and a dining table while we were trying to coordinate movers during the busy Christmas season. The facility is always nice and clean, especially the overall smell, which was very important to my mom. After living there for a few months, my mom shared that the service staff, from the dining room servers to the housekeeper are very friendly and accommodating.

My mom had a stroke in the spring of 2024. And as my sister and I decided where she needed to be as she required 24/7 hour care, A Place For Mom recommended Brookdale Claremore. When I spoke with the staff and the nursing staff, they not only answered my questions, but really got to the heart of what we were looking for. She has been there since June of last year, and it makes almost a year, they are professional and update us with any emergencies or concerns. They are kind and caring and really love and take care of my mom in such a gracious way. I would definitely recommend the facility.

My brother and I toured several assisted living homes for our mom and we felt Brookdale was superior, by far, for many reasons. My brother jokingly said the Brookdale director paid $5 to many residents for them to come out and be friendly. We didn't get that at any other place ( and she did not pay them, by the way). The staff, within just a short while, knew my mom and even us! The staff is so sweet to all the residents!! There are always so many activities for the residents to enjoy. It's actually hard now to reach mom on her landline as she's always out of her room enjoying being with other residents in one of the lovely screened porches or the gazebo, if weather allows. The temperature in the common areas is nice for the residents and they monitor the heat in their own apartments, to their liking. The main thing that swayed my brother and I about Brookedale's staff is that they have nurses there all the time that really work with my sister ( mom's medical power of attorney) to monitor her occasional issues (UTI or ear wax buildup) as well as her daily medicines,etc. The staff really could not be any nicer or accommodating to mom - like when she oversleeps and would otherwise miss her noon meal, which is their main meal- they have taken her a tray. We are thrilled with how mom is treated there and how much she likes it there ( food too!!)

I would give all 8 category's a 5! They were amazing. They took amazing care of my father in law. Kept us very informed. We visited at all different times and was always pleased. The staff treated us like we were family. If I ever had to put a loved one in memory care again this would be the place.

Activities - need more evening stuff and things get cancelled some times which frustrates folks. Value - Good. I think they are all about the same. The nickel and dime stuff with meds is cheesy but that's ok.

Staff and administrative staff are Amazing. Very caring.
