Brookdale

My husband and I recently toured Brookdale Las Vegas for my mom and we were very impressed with the facility as well as the staff. The facility is very clean and in great shape. The rooms are really nice and clean and good size. They have a really nice, big courtyard, with a gazebo, grass and trees that will be very nice in the fall and spring. We sampled the food and it was really good, smelled great too! We were there at lunch time. All the staff that we have come in contact with have been very helpful and super friendly. I think this will be a great place for my mom and it’s only about 5 minutes from our house!!! Thanks to A Place For Mom for all the help and support.

Medium size community of 68 units in a scenic area set away from road noise. Interior common areas were clean and organized. A very calm atmosphere throughout. Dining was inviting, but menus not elaborate for someone who really enjoys a variety of choices. We toured a small studio apartment which had a nice kitchenette and bathroom and closet space. The area left for furniture was tiny. Barely enough for a twin bed, recliner, secretary, computer desk, and nitestand. Laundry rooms on each floor and they were very clean. A variety of activities were offered. Staff were very professional.

I am in the early stages of having to consider assisted living for mymom. I was impressed by the appearance of the facility. The staff were all very friendly and the residents looked happy. I will be giving this facility a serious consideration.

Extremely clean, nicely decorated, lovely communal spaces. The representatives we were with were pleasant, understanding and answered our questions. We would feel very comfortable having our mom here.

The building was very clean and inviting! Everyone had a smile on their face and genuinely seemed like they loved what they do and cared for the residents! I ate lunch there and the food was wonderful and had a salad bar which is a bonus! The atmosphere there is like no other! There was also live music on the stairs while I was there. Great experience and would highly recommend!

Brookdale Torbett is an excellent Memory Care facility! My dad is receiving great care! I am especially impressed with all of the caregivers! They have gone above and beyond to help us! I would highly recommend.

Our experience has been great so far. The staff is very friendly and competent. The place is beautiful, clean and bright. The food is delicious, fresh, and the portions are just right. They were the only place willing to work with us on the cost and services. Our mother is well taken care of and safe. They offer her many activities, not all are things she can do or understand but she enjoys sitting with the other residents and participating when she can.

I would probably give them a 5 overall. My only concern is that we still need to have visiting angles to make sure my sister is getting enough attention. They have a great food program, nurses on staff and good activities. Also, they have entertainment

Everyone went above and beyond to make my husband stay comfortable at Brookdale. The food was excellent, and there were many choices. He had a very pleasant experience.

As a rehabilitation professional, I've had the opportunity to work closely with Brookdale Union Park and have been consistently impressed by the caring and dedicated staff. [Name Removed] -ED, nursing team and [Name Removed]- their marketing manager are truly some of awesome individuals I have personally worked with in my 19 years of professional career. The team truly treats residents like family and works collaboratively to ensure they receive the best possible care. The positive, welcoming atmosphere and commitment to resident well-being make it a wonderful place for seniors to call home. I would highly recommend Brookdale Union Park to families looking for compassionate, high-quality assisted living services.

The room is very small. That would be the biggest drawback. The staff is just wonderful!! Based on the experience so far, we would definitely recommend Brookdale Roanoke to other families.

I have lived here for 3 years! They keep us busy in doing all kinds of different activities. Everyone is very friendly and go above and beyond. I love having lunch with friends. There's different menu items to choose from. Dessert is my favorite :)

Staff very nice and professional. Some have been working there for a while. They have a lot of activities in- house and they have a lot of day trip also. The place is very clean. They building and the individual rooms.

[name removed] was excellent and a representation of all the staff we interacted with at the facility. All the residents were friendly and welcoming. The units were all being rehabbed for new tenants and were a great size for an individual or a couple. The facility on the lake was a huge plus. Some of the interior is a bit dated but in good repair and well taken care of. I would move there without question.

Small facility, so residents don't get lost in the crowd. Regular "special events" for the residents. Nice, secure courtyard. Good location.

The staff is, to a person, very caring and helpful. My Mom is thriving there, enjoying daily activities like exercise classes, games, music, and bingo. She enjoys socializing with the other residents in the lobby (especially in the winter where there is a warm fireplace) and in the dining room during meals. Everyone there is very friendly and accepting.

We found their room size to be good for a couple. The staff worked with us when we had some private caretakers working with my parents and we have transitioned away from the outside caretakers and the Brookdale staff has taken over now and it is going great.

It's been a good experience so far for us, my mother turned 100 last month. Overall thoughts to date - Staff: Very friendly and kind, we've had no issues in that regard. Food: Excellent. Chef [name removed] does a great job putting out nutritious and consistently tasty meals. Cleanliness: my mother isn't able to see well or clean up after herself. There have been times when I've asked for some help in that area or have done things myself when I'm there. Overall it's been ok. Size: her room is small, but it works as she's unable to move around much.

They are so friendly and welcoming! I haven't met any staff that aren't positive and kind. My parents and grandmother are all thriving there . My grandmother wasn't real happy with the food .. but I personally haven't eaten there and she is a little picky

My mother is well taken care of their. The caretaker seem to know her and her personality. Her meals are balanced and they know she loves her sweets. The activities there are perfect for memory care needs.
