This community is very loving. The residents care for one another. The food was really good. However, they changed companies and are having issues getting up to par. [Name removed] in the diner was a huge reason we chose this facility. I hope that they do not lose her. She loves the residents like they are her own family. VERY CARING!!! This means so very much to the people who live there. The flooring is supposed to be replaced, soon. And, I am hoping that the library will not be completely ruined by the time it is fixed. It is a wonderful asset if you are a reader. Love the backyard! Watched the fireworks at Memorial Park from the balcony last weekend. It is wonderful to have a ride to the doctor, store and lots of outings available. Gives a great feeling of independence. Would like to see more amenities available. Maybe, I do not know them all, yet. Love happy hour on Fridays! Great way to socialize and sometimes fun entertainment. Overall, It is a good place that is not overpriced. I pray it stays this way or becomes better.

It was obvious that most employees were very caring folks who gave their all to make sure my loved one was clean, fed, and happy. The facility is clean and inviting, and all staff and management were kind to myself and my loved one. What I witnessed, though, was a willingness by Management to purposely schedule a shortage of staff to handle the number of patients in the unit. I personally stayed with my loved one, past the time I wanted to leave, because one staff person was left alone with 16 patients, on numerous occasions. The state laws regarding staffing to patient ratios seem to be regarded as mere guidelines by the management. It appears that staff turnover is higher than normal, and it is my opinion that current employees do not feel valued and respected. We are very thankful for the care our loved one received at this facility, and hope that the hardworking employees there receive better treatment in the future. My lowered rating for Care Services is not meant to reflect badly on the employees, but on the Management that chose to short staff the unit. The unit was a close community, and family caregivers came together to support one another. It was a great place and I hope it will grow and embrace the biggest asset it has--its long term employees.

We really need the communication to get better at the Sugar Grove community. They are not receptive to my questions or concerns regarding my mom's care or her needs. [Removed] the manager is very nice and most of the rest of the staff member are friendly and caring, but there are a couple of nurses that are not providing the care that we thought we were to receive for my mom. The food is fine, mom's room is well taken care of by the housekeeping staff. The community is very clean. I just want the communication to be better.

This looked like an active community when we visited. The person that took us on tour was friendly. The carpets in the hallways unfortunately looked dirty and the community was not pleasant to look at.

The facility was just fine. However, we could not choose this facility for my husband's respite stay because they were not able to accommodate him due to his specific health needs.

It is hard for me to talk about my experience at this community because everything was under construction. They where in the process of remodeling the place and re doing the dinning room as well as other common areas. The staff where kind helpful with the information they provided me though.

The Greene Place has been a great change for the family, but like any of these types of places it cost so much it's highway [Removed]. Your parent(s) work so hard throughout there life only to go through God's natural processing of aging and the people have figured a way to take every bit of their hard earned money. Especially for what little they get in return. Just an example is Greene Place meals. I believe even the [Removed] have better food then they do. There meals should be real meals not sandwiches, hotdogs etc. For the holidays it was sickening what they fed them. The folks that are there or anywhere should be treated and given what they pay for. And that is not the case. They changed hands I don't know but when you have good employees, cooks you don't get rid of them you do what it takes to make it work. You never can find staff, don't get me wrong there are positive and I am glad they are there, but they need a lot of help in making this the place like it used to be. These are someone parents and they deserve a whole lot more than what they have to pay. Would you want to be taken care of like that?

The staff is not good about keeping me informed on what my loved one needs. That is the biggest issue and the only one that I have. The food is good and they give good portions and a good variety. My loved one has gained 6 pounds. The staff is friendly and helpful.

The community at Lamar Court seemed to be pretty nice. The staff that offered the tour were very friendly and courteous. They were upfront and honest with everything. We did not choose Lamar Court because they did not offer the level of care that our loved one required.

Wesley Court's has a very attentive and friendly staff. They have lots of fun activities all month long.

It's dated and they do everything they can with the property.

I was really happy in the first few weeks. We have had a couple of issues since then. In the beginning they were really attentive with communication, and working on a plan. I like the opportunity to be around people and socialize, and they do a good job with monitoring her medically, and recognizing medical issues if they come up. They have a lot of things on the calendar, not everything always pans out, but they do have a lot going on. The food has been enjoyable, with a menu to select from. The dining is done in shifts however, and I believe recently they went from two shifts to three shifts, which can be a bit confusing.

Mom has been at Hope for about one month now. She receives good care; however, she is also in Hospice so she receives additional care. The one outstanding feature about Hope is that nothing ever smells like so many care places do. It is always clean. The staff is friendly and helpful. So far, this move to Hope has been a good experience.

need to know that you have to supply everything, was not informed of this till after move in, a little shocking. very friendly staff.

It wasn't going to work for my mom because she is more independently functioning that a lot of the people there. They needed more help

One bedroom apt is enough room for her. Location is ideal close to her Dr. The food at Church Creek has gone down hill per my mother in law. overall she likes it and I'm thankful as her health is not any better so it's the right choice for her to be independent but have extra help f needed . She has made many friends there and it's affordable . I'm glad she is there to get the help as needed.

The tenants do not get hot meals every day. The staff is good but the servers take too long to serve food. The apartment size and location of the community are both good.

Their executive director hasn't followed through on some requests, like connecting us with services, like senior assistance and health care. There was no orientation to their property. It's a nice facility and I would recommend it...I just wish they were more helpful after signing the lease. It seems like the services dropped once we signed

The only problem we had was a screw up in his medications when first being admitted. His opiate schedule got changed without my knowledge and he went thru withdrawal which set his Alzheimer's way back and he went from Memory care to long term care in one week. So I would say stay informed and ask questions because communication was a huge problem. I would also say the staffing is not so great but this is a problem at every home I have visited. I moved him so he was closer to me and I could monitor his care better

One item would be to improve the quality of the food. We are not exactly sure at this moment if we would recommend Five Start Residences to other families. She has only been there for a few weeks.
