The facility was nice and the administration seemed friendly enough, but we were not able to move my mother in because her condition became worse and she had to go to skilled nursing. To recommend this place, I would tell families to read the fine print thoroughly. Since my mom didn't move in, they would only refund part of the deposit and none of the first months rent, even though she or her things were never moved in. Because of this, I would lean against not highly recommending.

My loved one was previously a resident at Carnegie Village and overall the experience was okay. My biggest complaint was that, despite my MANY attempts to meet with the Director of Nursing, I felt that for whatever reason she didn't want to be bothered. On one occasion, I even waited a full hour to see her, but was told that she was too busy. The cleanliness and friendliness were good. The food, activities and value for cost were also good.

The rooms are clean but bathrooms okay. Not comfy. Staff friendly but it was superficial. When I expressed concerns about my mom they didn't follow up. Care was not good. I had concerns about my mom's feet edema, no one ever checked on her. They talked a good talk but mostly just sat at the desk. Meals and Dining satisfied my mom. My mom was not able to participate in the activities. Cost is prohibitive for what they provide. Extra charge for med administration, extra charge if they need help showering. Many other extra charges. When my mother was there we were paying [name removed] a month and it was not worth it. I would not recommend this community to anyone. It's like everything about Tellico Village, they think everyone has money and the hallways and atmosphere at The Neighborhood was like a low class nursing home.

The staff is mostly friendly and quick to learn about mom at Five Star Residences of Fort Wayne. Communication with the family is not great, it would be better if regular meetings or updates could be scheduled with the family. The food is excellent. They offer a good variety. This facility could improve their interactions with new residents and their families after move- in. The first few weeks were very difficult and stressful.

St. Paul was in the midst of a renovation due to flood or damage from a water main break. It didn't seem like there many activities and felt a tiny bit more institutional. St Pauls was adequate, but I think it really was the state of the building. Nothing to really see...that I remember.

We picked this community, because mom liked it alot when we toured and it was reasonably priced.The meals have gone down hill according to my mom. Dishwasher has been broke for a week or more so they are serving meals with paper plates plastic forks and plastic cups. Paying what we are the food and dishwasher thing is crazy. To keep my mom happy I have had to bring her food at times cause she isnt happy with it. Other then that the place us great!!! Items above need attention!

The staff was very very nice but it just wasn't what we were looking for. The apartment was very very tiny and not enough there to keep him active. Pathfinder only had a craft room and a TV. The price was more.

The residents is wonderful, but the management sucks. I have a fully equipped kitchen, but they do offer meals. The food has the most unhealthy menu. They offer activiites, such as; Bingo, church services, movies, and karaoke for assisted living but those of us that live in independent living, are able to join the activities. There is sometimes issues with maintenance following-up with requests.

I toured this community a couple of times and it was ok. The place is beautiful, very clean, with wonderful rooms. It almost has a cruise ship feel to it. However, I didn't see a lot of resident activity other than dinner time. I just didn't get a community type of feel here and that's what we were looking for.

I didn't get a very good impression of Five Star of Banta Pointe. We toured during Covid times, so we couldn’t se a lot of it. What we did see, the place seemed too small and restrictive for my loved one.

Could of been more help getting our loved one adjusted and engaged with the community. The nursing staff is very good but the daily CNA's changes everyday - so it really made it hard for our loved one to get to know them.

The Villages of Marion Ridge was definitely not as new as the place we chose. It was dated and didn't smell as good. The people were definitely friendly. It just wasn't the right fit for my loved one.

They make A+ quality food. The serveving staff are friendly and patient. Overall great.

My loved one is not getting, what they are paying for. The staff is friendly but not truthful. They are not treating my loved one very well. My loved one does not like a lot of the food choices. They do not have 24 hour nursing staff. They are not attentive to the needs of my loved one. They make commintments that they don't keep, and are very unfriendly.

My loved one has been here for 3 months and they have only cleaned the toilet once. They are supposed to do the laundry too but that has only been done once too. I think they are having staffing issues like a lot of other places. The staff that are there are super sweet and mean well. The residents all have a button that they can push for someone to help them, but it only works when certain staff are working - for some reason it does not work when the night staff are there. If everything was being cleaned and the calls were being answered, it would be a great value for the money - but they are lacking. They are currently going through a transition, so I know they are trying to make improvements to the facility so we are excited to see that some of these issues get resolved in the near future.

During my tour of Bridle Brook the cleanliness wasn't really there. It seemed like they had packed quite a few people into a small space. It wasn't very new or clean looking. We chose another community because of those reasons, and I also never heard back from Bridle after the tour.

St. Paul's is a small, friendly community with a responsive and friendly staff. The food needs improvement though. They just need to find kitchen staff who can cook. In my view, most of what they serve is overcooked, and they use too much gravy and sauce to cover mistakes. The big deal with the food is they don't really address any dietary needs or restrictions. So if you need that, St. Paul's is not the place for you. The serving staff in the dining room is fine. But the cooking staff needs to be replaced. I think the cost is affordable, and the rent includes a basic cable/TV service. The apartment is excellent. I use a mobility scooter 100% of the time, and I'm working with the staff now to improve accessibility in the shower, but otherwise the apartment is excellent. Like most businesses right now, they're in a post-Covid recovery period. Therefore they're not as good as they were when I was here last. But with senior living communities, the makeup of the community defines itself. Right now they're at about 50% capacity in Independent Living. As occupancy rises and gets more back to normal, I know things will continue to improve. And the staff is committed to the excellence you pay for. They're helpful people and want to do their jobs. The kitchen manager right now is just in over his head and doesn't know how to fix it. I think St. Paul's is a good, small community with a lot of potential for the future. The location in Belleville is great. While St. Paul's itself has minimal transportation, there is a wheelchair accessible transportation system supported and operated by the local community college, and for $4 a trip, they'll take you anywhere in the community, which was a huge draw for me. That transportation system is as good as I've seen anywhere, including in Chicago. So if you like to get out and do things, the transportation is affordable and it's there.
