Right At Home

My only complaint is that I do pay a decent chunk of money and the level of work that has to be done is not much, but I understand and get the reasons for what I am paying. They are very good at communicating and accommodating our needs, and the lady they have sent us has been simply wonderful!

Overall we're very pleased with the Right at Home service. The caregivers they've sent have been very friendly, and everything has worked out well so far. We have no complaints!

I think we have the kinks ironed out now. The stress level has been so much less for me now. Once they are there I don't have to worry about her for the night. They haven't sent anyone that I have not liked. They email me the schedule so I always know who will be there. They have the same few caregivers that are always there, and it's nice to have that consistency. We did have one person in the beginning that was really good, but she wasn't very reliable, we really liked her a lot so we gave her a few extra chances or I think they would have removed her much sooner. I really have no complaints, they have done great.

The information and resources shared through A Place for Mom where invaluable to our family. We opted to keep our family member at home with assistance from caregivers and therapists. Should we need to obtain alternative living arrangements in the future we will be well informed to make a decision.

They were very friendly. We have the same caregiver come out each time. We have never had an issues with them not showing up or being late. The pricing seems to be fair. We liked how quickly they responded to our inquiry, and the owner was very nice. This is home care so cleanliness and activities don't apply.

From what I saw, the caregiver did a great job, but we have asked for a different one, who would be a better match for my mom. The service has responded really quickly to help make everything work well. They keep really good records, very professional and organized. They have a nurse that comes out for visits from time-to-time.

My parents tell me that they've been doing a good job, and they seem completely satisfied with them. The caregivers and staff have all been friendly and professional, and the care provided satisfied what we were looking for.

I'm very happy with the services that I'm receiving for my mother. Right at Home worked specifically with my needs.

We use them for my brother. They watch him for me. He's either chair bound or bed bound all the time so they transfer him and change him and keep him comfortable and feed him. He loves everybody. The only real issue I had with them, and it's unique with us because of where we live, is some times we had problems with people finding us. I addressed that with them so that if they hadn't been here before they would call me the night before and I could give them directions. That was a little extra stress at the time that I didn't need but they were very very nice about and certainly changed.

They're great, the one that's coming isn't really doing care care, its more of a visitation and cleaning kind of thing but she's great. What I really like is that they have one gal that comes in three times a week, but it's the same gal so mom can build a relationship with her and get comfortable with her instead of different people coming in all the time. The cleaning is great, I don't have to do it. This was a name I had gotten from the health care coordinator at the medical center where mom goes, it was one on a list and the price was more reasonable compared to other ones.

I love the responsiveness of the staff. Had a great experience today getting my mother set up with care due to her sprained back muscle. It was a "Cry for Help!" Seriously, getting help quickly was such a relief.

My communication with the schedulers has been excellent, with a few glitches that were quickly corrected. When selecting a company, I would ask how caretakers are vetted and compensated to gain an idea of the kinds of candidates they attract. Although 1 or 2 of the caretakers, the younger ones, did not work out for us-too much time on their phones, not enough personal engagement with my husband who is the patient- most have been friendly, helpful and cooperative. Several are excellent in every way, and have become regulars. Home health care is very expensive, much more than assisted living, and is not covered by Medicare, except for actual medical services, but Right at Home assures me they will provide a statement outlining the tax deductions allowable. If you can afford it, home health care is far preferable to an assisted living facility. These are understaffed and poorly regulated and patients' experiences in most of them, according to published reports, is not what anyone would want for a loved one. Overall, ROH has been a godsend for my husband and for me. They are a national franchise. I would recommend them in the Charleston, SC area and hopefully elsewhere.

I appreciated the intake, they were very thorough with their initial visit. I think that they have been good with scheduling for the most part, I think I would like more upfront communication around who to expect if our regular caretaker is not coming. Overall they are very flexible when I need to make changes. I would recommend to others looking.

I love this Home Health agency I have coming for my mother. They are taking very good care of her. They help her 5 days a week. And would take her out of the home before but now she can't go out any longer but I would recommend this for any family for the independence their loved ones want.

This is a good home care agency, and my wife is doing well since she started to receive services. I'am satisfied with the all they have done for us. The care givers are good. They show up on time, and are very helpful. This is a home care agency I would recommend, it is working out well for us.

All of the drivers who were appointed to my transportation were courteous, careful, and experienced. My trip with [removed] was the first time I had used this type of transportation, and he was most helpful which relieves my anxiety about the new experience.

Flexible scheduling, pleasant & helpful staff

Changing caregivers so frequently is difficult on my husband. However, response from staff have been very positive.

We had a pretty decent experience with this home care agency. We used them for a short time, but everything went pretty well. The care givers were very helpful and kind. They helped with cooking, cleaning, and some personal care. This is a good home care agency.
