Right At Home

I helped some friends locate Right at Home to take care of a loved one, and overall things seem to have gone well for them. There have been a few instances of caregivers not being able to be scheduled, or not showing up on time, but 90% of the time things have been fine. The caregivers are always very friendly and professional when they do arrive.

From what I know, the experience with Right at Home has been really well. I have other family members doing the main care, but from what I know, my loved one is very happy with the healthcare provider they send out to care for her.

They are doing just fine.

I have been really happy with them, they have been pretty reliable. They have a new placement person, and one time she failed to call me and tell me someone different was coming. It was over the weekend and she called me right back when she got in and let me know, and apologized. It took a little time to get everything running really smooth. They have been really good about trying to work with me, I think that if they had more time to know this was starting, it would have been different. Since we have gotten settled into a routine, they have been able to keep the same people coming out. I really like everyone that I have seen, they have all been really personable and friendly.

This is a really nice place that we felt comfortable with. Dad liked it very much.

We haven't used their services for personal care yet, but we do use them for housekeeping and general upkeep of the house, and it's been very good! We've switched a couple times, but the staff are all very friendly, and I think they charge a very fair price!

They've done a great job so far, they've really made both my loved one's and my life easier and less stressful. The aides and the office staff that we have worked with have all been very friendly. The caretakers themselves have been great, the house is always orderly now, and my loved one seems happy (and she can be very hard to please!) The only issue we've had is that they were a little unclear with how the billing works, since there was a deposit and 2 weeks of advance pay involved that made the bill larger than we were expecting.

We used this service briefly to care for my mother while Dad was recovering from an injury. Dad can be very particular about how he wants things done, and overall I feel like Right at Home must have done a pretty good job since he only ever had minor complaints. The one complaint I had about them was that sometimes they sent over caregivers that were not strong enough to help Mom get up and down without Dad's assistance, and the entire reason we needed them there was so Dad wouldn't have to help. But overall they did a good job, and their prices were competitive with other similar services in the area.

We are happy with it. Everyone has been great except one person. The only problem I've had is certain weather conditions, they will call and say that they can't show up. In the beginning we had different caregivers all the time, it was always someone different, after a while we seemed to have a little more consistency.

We have the same person most of the time. She is excellent. We did have one that filled in one time, and they were not great. The girl that came out when we interviewed was really friendly and personable.

They had a more educated staff and more nursing care, but my father in law doesn't need medical. As far as the medicine, we put them in a container and he takes them, he doesn't need help showering or anything like that, it's just companionship and getting him out of the house. When they came out to visit us, they really impressed me but everything she was talking about was more lvn and they were 3 dollars more so we figured we'd save a little money and go with something else.

They have an office in the Eagle Crest building and they do have somebody there that comes and gives my dad his medication. It's been very good, they've been getting up there and they actually come a little earlier than usual because he does everything a little early; so they like to get to him first before anyone else because he's already up.

In terms of our experience with it, and I think it's due largely to the homecare person taht was appointed to us, she's worked out far beyond our expectation. I was quite concerned with how my husband would adjust to someone else with hands on care and what was important for me is that we didn't have a parade of people coming through, my husbands very polite and conginial to people he doesn't remember and thats a blessing for me, but that was the only thing I insisted on and that's what happened. The only part that I'm not getting in the rythym of is the invoices, I keep having in the back of my mind the idea that I should be paying a bill and it seems like it's a long time between the time Ana comes and when we get invoiced, I worry that I missed something in the mail. But it's exceeding my expectations, I thought I wouldn't be able to walk away and our arrangements here aren't ideal but she's found a way to work around them.

We looked at them but they had a minimum of how many hours they would be there. My father did not like that. He wanted to start with just one hour.

Right at Home listened to our issue with my mother. They adjusted a service to meet our needs at an affordable price. They listened. The service has been great, on time and responsive.

We chose Right at Home for our loved one because they were in a situation where they needed home care. It seemed like the care giver were spending their time just sitting and waiting for something to do, instead of being more engaging with our loved one. They could have been doing a little rehab with them and trying to get them to do activities rather then just around and wait. The care givers were friendly just wish they would have done more. We only used them for a short period of time while our situation changed.

Right at home came out and although they were very nice, we chose comfort-keepers. We think mom needs 24/7 out of home care at this point.

This is a great option for a first timer. I don't believe the problems I am having are with Right At Home, I believe it’s with the actual person they send over. However I don't having anything to compare it to, but do feel like it’s a great option for the first timer.
