This month (April) marks six months that my aunt has been a resident at Linda Valley Assisted Living (LVAL). She has shared with me that she is enjoying the facility and loves the staff as well as the food. I have witnessed the staff at work and appreciate the care they extend to the residents and visitors. When areas of concern have been raised, responses have been forthcoming. Overall, our family and our resident loved one are happy with the care she is receiving at LVAL.

Our family had an in-person tour with Prestige Assisted Living and the director was great and personable. It was just not the right fit for our loved one. The surrounding area was sketchy and felt unsafe, but the facility was very quiet and peaceful.

The staff and the size of the place stood out to me about this facility. [name removed] was the person we dealt with in the start of this. She was amazing helping us with the transition and keeping us informed. Once there, all of the staff have been very informative and helpful. They provide laundry services and the lounge area has a place for snacks. I would definitely recommend Carson Tahoe Expressions Memory Care to others looking for a place for their loved ones with Dementia. It's hard enough choosing a place and [name removed] and staff were very compassionate and helpful. I never felt pressure from them to make the decision to go there, just guidance on getting help and care.

The community was very welcoming and friendly. There are some spots in the hallways that need carpet repair, which makes wheelchair life a little difficult. We picked this community, because there were only two openings when I was looking. This one was the closest to my home.

I toured the Assisted Living unit at this facility. It was very clean. Staff was very friendly and kind. The food could improve.

We have been very impressed with most of the staff members, and based on our experience so far we would recommend Prestige Assisted Living at Henderson to other families. On a regular basis they have a lot of activities going on and we appreciate the effort they put in -so good job staff. The reason we gave the meals an overall 3 star is because they seem to be stuck on beef and pork which we do not eat. They have other choices but they are limited so the variety could be improved. However, other than that, the meals are very good

The community has been great. Both in answering questions and in their care. It has been a great fit for my mother. There is probably always room for improvement but honestly we have been very happy.

For the most part the staff is kind and helpful. The activity director will work hard to get out of doing any outings on simple activities. The food is very poorly prepared and about 50% not edible my sister spends a lot of her money on food.

Terrible, lazy and stupid activity director. Kitchen manager poor cook and is always running out items we need to eat with our meals. I spend over $160 a month on food.

My evaluation of the actual care is very limited. My husband was only there 12 days before his death and the first four or five days I was not to visit there while he was becoming acclimatized. That actually did not happen when he entered Linda Valley he was under the care of hospice and they asked immediately during the first 24 hours if they could sedate him because he was so resistant and combative. So I have no idea what kind of care he got because already he was not eating well and was so resistant to everything. I liked working with [name removed] I felt like the set up was quite good from what I could tail. My only real complaint is that after his death on [date removed] it took 2 1/2 months to get a refund from the initial month's payment. Although part of that delay was a dispute that I had with them about the day that he actually entered their facility, I should not have to have gone after the refund after the first month he was dead.

The amazing staff go above and beyond for residents and family.

It has a homey feeling, vs. a resort-like feeling at some other places. The apartments are nice. And when I've had concerns, the staff have taken care of them.

This is a very nice place to live for you or your loved one. They have activities like a work out room, a library, t,v, room if you want to watch t.v. with other people, lots of walking paths with a lot of sidewalk walking. All of the staff have been very very friendly, they are easy to get a long with and answer all of your questions when you have them, they are always willing to help.

We have only seen some coloring pages for the residents to participate in for activities. The aides are good and friendly. The new administrative director isn't willing to listen fully to the family's concerns. They are in a transition phase. I would make sure you do and in-depth tour, and make sure they are showing you what they are telling you on the tour. The room, housekeeping, meals, laundry, and utilities are included in the monthly fee. Some of my loved one's clothing has gone missing, due to the folding is all completed with all the resident's laundry at once.

my dad has lived at McKay Creek for 8 years. the staff do a great job of making him feel cared for. he loves to tease and be teased. he has connected especially with the activities director. he loves going to exercise!

We were happy with everything except that they were short staffed but that is kind of happening everywhere. There were a few issues but it was all due to short staffing they were doing all that they could for the residents. Once my loved ones diet got started everything was good. The meals were salty but once my loved one was on low sodium everything was fine.

The meals at this community are good. I would recommend this community but it depends on if there is a room available. We were lucky to be able to find a room and get in when we were looking they only had two rooms available. There is a lot of demand for availability here.

The memory care is great for individuals without behavioral issues, if there are any type of aggression issues with the residents, they do not deal with that well. I would definitely recommend for memory care individuals who do not have those aggression problems.
