Our experience with Tamarack has been a really good one, overall! It's our first time dealing with any sort of senior care, so we don't have much to compare it to, but the people at Tamarack have made the whole process fairly pleasant. The staff is friendly and professional, and they do a great job looking out for the people who live here!

Evergreen staff worked very hard to make a move there possible. My friend is now very happy, enjoying the people, making friends and joining in many of the activities. I am so grateful to 'a place for Mom' and the directions from their agent Shawneen Falck. Shawneen stayed in touch with us, helped connect us to other help that was also needed. Eventually all came together thanks to so many.

Everyone was so wonderful here and they worked to make the adjustment as smooth and natural as possible. The place has a great atmosphere and they work hard to keep everyone happy. Very helpful and answered all of our questions.

Took the tour....very nice. A bit over the budget. Surprised about $3200 up front money. Distance a factor. Will keep on the list.

At Cottonwood Estates some of the nurses aren't aware of my father-in-laws medical needs, that is concerning. The facility is nice. They have a nice open atria. The staff is friendly. The facility is very clean. Some very minor things like the exterior needing some TLC could be improved. Other than that things are going well here.

The facility seems to be a pretty decent place. It is always clean, the staff is very helpful and friendly and the meals are pretty good. I would say this has been a good experience so far. The transition is going well.

The staff was friendly. Liked the idea of resident ambassadors. Price is still an issue at this point. Looking for a 1 bedroom around $1800. Most of these were $2200 or better. It was good for our first visit.

The thing that impressed me most is that they made the transition of moving in smooth and seamless. So I was impressed with that. Holiday Properties offers like a finders fee if you bring someone in and I worked my butt off showing my loved on around and they did not give it to us because it was APFM and not me that found it.

When I went with mom to look at Essington Place it was very nice. It is convenient for me. However the live in manager and the marketing person expressed that they could care for mom which is legally blind but now that does not seem to be the case. They have not been good at getting mom used to it here. It took about 45 days to get her a mailbox key. For people that aren't active and social it is very hard. The staff do not work with you. When we got to the dining room they had assigned seating which was very difficult for mom being new. The staff really need to take the time to work with new people coming in and geting them acclimated. Everything was okay other than that.

Overall I think I am happy, especially for the value. It is a reasonable price. I think the rooms are very nice, the food is good. My loved one is not adapting as well as I had hoped, and I was hoping for a little more assistance from the staff to getting her involved in the activities. All in all, I think it's a good value and a good service.

Nice, open feeling facility. Sadly, no openings in near future.

Tamarack of Palatine was a nice welcoming place that has a nice live in staff that eat dinner with residences every night. The apartments is cleaned regularly and property is clean. My dad has lived there for only two months and is happy so far. He moved from a much larger Devonshire community and is fitting much better and with reduced cost. Synergy Homecare is the assistances provider, you need two contracts to live there if you need additional services. Just get all the details before moving Resident must be somewhat independent (they don’t have resident evaluation) It is much cheaper than a Sunrise community if independent enough Prices change daily or so they say, so the price is the best on 1st visit so if you think about or keep looking prepare to pay more. Synergy is a pretty good service but they don’t keep great records of visits and charges There is a large one time move in community charge that can negotiable It’s in a good area for dinning and stores when visiting We like it so far

It is a welcoming community that does not overwhelm like some of the larger communities.

They are very helpful and loving , so that was good. They could have options for the meals instead of just two meals to choose from.

Our key factor was the staff and having to got to know a lot of the people that were living there.

The management I would give a four or a five. We really like that the four managers live there. We have had a couple of issues come up. The food comes cool everyday, and a lot of times it's wrong, not what she ordered. The dining room is fantastic, and if you eat in the dining room the food is hot and good. and when you have a guest they don't charge you for it.

It was great. We really liked it. The food is not so good. They serve really small portions. There's a lot of turn over's. People are being transferred all the time. The management is not very consistent. Other than that, It has been great. We really like the Cottonwood Estates. It's a really nice community. The facility is always very clean and everyone is very nice. The staff is nice and friendly as well.

Very friendly, happy staff and residents. The building is beautiful, clean, and sunny. Lots of activities for residents to socialize and stay active. The Restraunt style dinning is both delicious and nicely organized.

Everything seems to be going well. We have no complaints. It's clean. There are a lot of activities always going on. It has been a pretty good experience.

So far it's okay. The only thing is that the food isn't good. The first chef was great. There is a new chef but the food isn't as good. It has been a pretty good experience at the Cottonwood Estates.
