Staff are friendly and competent. The facilities are kept clean, but have the atmosphere of an older well used hotel. A number of activities are offered throughout the day and week. Issues with cable service remain unresolved. I would recommend them to friends and family.

So far, we're pleased with Solstice. We're still getting used to going from living in our home to living in an apartment. But we're enjoying it. I like how friendly the people are and the sense of community on the whole. I would like to see meals farther apart, but I understand that's probably not feasible. They have lots of activities. And it has been nice overall.

The place is set up mainly for mostly independent living. Additional services can be added through an independent provider that works with the facility. We have no regrets moving my parents there, they really like it and have been happy with the move.

We decided on Solstice Senior Living at Lee's Summit because of the proximity to my house as well as the affordability. I liked that they have the aging in place process. They also have select rehabilitation so I can get her some professional rehab or physical therapy and it is right there on site. They have a very nice working active beauty salon in house as well. The one thing that is missing is they have one elevator for this big huge facility, so meal times are very crowded and it takes a while to get to and from. Overall we would recommend this facility to others looking.

I think there are plenty of activities to keep the residents vibrant. The food is excellent. My mom compliments it often. They also have a nurse who visits the residents on a regular basis and keeps in communication with me, which is excellent and has been very helpful to me since I live at a distance from my mother. The apartments are very comfortable. We were able to bring in all of her own furniture and wall hangings so she feels like she's at home. The grounds are beautiful, with lots of flowers and seating areas so they can sit outside in good weather.

Overall it is a very nice facility. However, we were told that they have a chef who prepared fantastic meals. I've viewed my loved one's meals and am very disappointed. The elderly need to stay away form so many carbs and need more protein. I wouldn't feed my kids the meals they serve. Other than that, it's very nice. It's clean and aesthetic looking. For holidays, they decorate and make it look nice. And the interactions I've had with the staff have been very friendly.

Staff is kind and caring to residents. Social areas are bright and comfortable. There are lots of activities for the residents to participate in. Furnishings are cozy and up to date. Dining room is big and open, and food is good and varied. I would recommend.

I wanted my loved one to feel at home. They weren't personable

The meals are outstanding. The setup and location are excellent, but there is no help. So, if people need help (emergencies, or help of any kind), they do not offer that service to residents. I would recommend Solstice Senior Living at El Cajon to others, but first I would screen your loved one to see if their needs could be met here. It is truly an independent living community; if an individual needs help or monitoring, it's not available. It is extremely important that you know the needs of your loved one. Sometimes it slips through where help is needed for an individual and they get admitted, but the help is not there.

This was a wonderful community. There was no full time no nurse and the long term care insurance wouldn't pay for this community due to no full time no nurse on staff.

My mom is 90 and up until the last year or so was not open to living in a senior care facility. She made friends the very first time we visited. She loves having her own apartment and has made many friends and is enjoying the activities with her new friends. Very friendly and caring community. At 90 she is enjoying her independence and loves being at Solstice. I don't worry about her there.. which means everything to me and my sisters!

In addition to the above ratings, the people are nice. Solstice is a beautiful way out and easy to get around. As far as improvement like everyone else, having staff available to help with things could be a bit better - staff comes and goes. I have enough room in my apartment & it comes with a kitchenette, but there's no stove or dishwasher although I do have a small fridge. Housekeeping comes in and helps clean every other week and they wash my linens too. Solstice allows pets and they offer transportation to appointments & stores. I don't participate in many activities, but they have a monthly calendar with activities and the food menu. Overall I would recommend Solstice Senior Living at Bangor to others.

It was a great place. The people were very friendly and very accommodating, and they got my loved one in very quickly. The apartment was perfect and set up really nicely. They were going through some staffing issues though. Because of that, they weren't doing very much of the cleaning, and the food wasn't very good. But I'm hoping that was a temporary problem. They did do a pretty good job with activities though.

We toured Solstice Senior Living at Austin and had a good tour experience. We chose another community because Solstice was located too far away; and there was a homeless community nearby their property and that kind of bothered me.

The community has some issues. I think they are upfront and friendly; however, they are short staffed and not as cleans as the community could be. The maintenance is lacking overall. The staff act like they are concerned; however, you have to follow up several times before a resolution can be made. The food isn't good in the quality and taste. There are activities available for the residents to participate in, if they choose. They will give the residents Solstice Dollars to spend at a store for participating.

It's very pleasant here. There are a few areas that could be better, but on the whole, it's a very pleasant place. It's a nice atmosphere with friendly people. I love my apartment. It's bright, and I have a great view. It's conveniently located. One area for improvement would be meal service. It can take a long time to be served lunch and dinner. But I understand that service and staffing issues are a problem everywhere right now.

The location as well as the value for the money is what really stuck out to us about Solstice when we were searching for the right fit. We also just had a good overall feeling about the place from the get go. The apartments are pretty good size compared to some others we looked at. I have noticed there has been some smoking going on inside the facility, you can smell it by the elevators and I know that is not supposed to be happening. We would recommend the community to others.

It's good for independent living. Not a good place for anyone needing assistance.

This was a very nice community for someone that could really live by themselves quite well. The resident should not expect any services or anything. They had activities like singing, puzzles, and other things that they were not able to do due to covid. The calendar had a lot of activities on it like singing and more and they would do as much as they could outside of covid.
