Talked with Anne Marie, she was very helpful and encouraging. I told her I needed to talk to my sister, Peggy, to determine if she is ready for a no obligation home assessment.

What ever we talk about with the care coordinator, doesn't seem to be communicated with their staff. It seems like there is a lot of miss-communication, and non-communication. We are trying to work out the kinks, they are a pretty reasonable price.

They're helping keep my step father company more than anything and that's working out just fine. He's happy with them.

Rhoni was great to talk with and willing to accommodate with any needs that Mom and Dad would require. They can take Dad to the community center or bowling. They have background checks and offer the direct link emergency necklace that mom or dad can wear. 24 hours monitoring service at $30 a month for direct link. They will do all the house cleaning that mom needs too during their visits to their home. So mom can get rid of her house cleaner. Charge varies $19-25 hour depending on the care required. 2 week deposit required, but fully refunded if not needed.

I spoke with the manager and she was very helpful. I believe that the assistance of Home Helpers would be extremely helpful to Mom. Unfortunately, I have been unable to convince Mom of the necessity.

The people that come in and sit with my loved one are good. They come in 3 times a week. They have also been a life saver by being able to run errands when needed. The only problem that I have been having is that there are constantly messing up my bill. Other than that I have no complaints.

So far it seems to be working out okay. I don't have any major concerns, and I think for now at least we have a solution that works for us.

We chose Home Helpers because they seemed easy to work with and fits our needs. Unfortunately, we got off to a rocky start. The caregiver assigned to my Mom had a family emergency, so while I understand this was unavoidable it made for a poor start. The caregiver assigned to Mom seems to have figured out how to get along with her, since Mom has stopped complaining about the NEED for help, a very good thing indeed. I would like to see more communication from the agency. I live out of state and have to rely on Mom to tell me about their time together. Mom can not always find the words to tell us what she did each day.

I have mixed reviews about them. There was one helper who was outstanding, Denine Williams, and she took great care of my mom. I don't know how we would have managed without her help. She was the only one who took that level of care, so it made it hard to appreciate the other people who came in on other shifts, they weren't as diligent, they didn't keep her as clean. There were issues with proper scheduling, the presumption I had going in, was that this was a service that was prepared for last minute needs, and there were a lot of challenges making sure someone would be there. Denine is a true asset, her care really saved them, it weren't for her, they would have been a pretty clear two, instead of a three and a half.

I felt the connection with them. They meant well, but their training was inadequate. Their helpers were being thrown too deep in the pool too early. I hope they learn from their experience. I just felt like the caregiver did not know much about Dementia. Other than that the care givers and staff were friendly and nice.

Home Helpers were great the first few times and after that I was disappointed. They were supposed to do some light housekeeping. This didn't happen and this happened with multiple caretakers.. In order for things to get done, I ended up having to stay and watch over the staff. I was looking forward to a break.

The Caregivers that came out to assist me with light housekeeping, cleaning and some personal needs were not always on time. I also found my definition of clean and theirs was vastly different. When we set up the service they tried to understand what I was looking for in a Caregiver.

The staff do a good job at Home Helper. However, if they say they are going to be punching in at a certain time and the care giver isn't there on time someone needs to call me. I have missed some appointments waiting around on them to show up, not knowing when they would. Other than that everything is going well.

They were not so helpful, when I asked about my parents well being. There was a total lack of communication.

I pretty much blew these guys off, I didn't like being pinned down to having to have them for a certain amount of time. I wasn't overly impressed, but I had only used them a couple of times, I do understand that it would be stupid to have somebody come over for an hour. The girl who took the phone calls there, I don't know what her title is, but she got a little cocky with my when I decided to stop it, that doesn't cut it. We've got loved ones that we're trying to find the right thing for them and that doesn't work.

The director gave me 17$ hour min 6hours. Will do everything we need done. Maybe try only one day a week. Also have help line for 25.00 month. They would be the first number in an emergency and they would go check on her.
