The health staff was par. If your parent needs more than independent living it will cost a lot and the staff is not prepared/trained. They have a few good med techs and CNAs but most of them are very basic in their care abilities (wheelchair a person down and back for their meals).Kitchen did a good job meeting allergy needs but I felt the staff should be more diligent with what your feed the people with allergies. So if they ask for a meal that they shouldn't have they should offer them something else.

We'll always be grateful for the help we were given to get Mom placed as quickly as they did. It was a difficult process. Our Salesperson, [name removed] , was professional and helped us through some difficult times. The staff that took care of her daily needs were very nice and treated Mom well. They tried very hard to keep her happy. The food was not a good point. Out of items quite often. Lack of optional items to eat if the daily menu was something you didn't like. Reason for the 1 rating. Activities were minimal and not geared towards a little more active person. Streaming tv, no landline phone service are not easy to learn when you're in your 90s. Very frustrating for someone 80-90 years old. My thoughts are that Holi is a facility for people that are in worse shape mentally than my Mom was. It was hard on her not to have her old life activities back. But not everyone was able to care for her and her one post surgery need. [name removed] tried. A hard time that I hope others don't have to go through.

No basic cable or phone available in the rooms, instead you have to rely on their Wi-Fi for phone, internet and TV. Very difficult to get seniors to understand streaming services and the staff is not helpful. We were told there was a selection of meals provided, however, they only provided meals left over to residents that cannot make it to the dining room and that maybe only one choice. The communication with the staff is poor, Tgey are under staffed and the residents are the ones who suffer. I would not recommend they place.

I placed my wife in Memory Haven on a Thursday. She was still wearing that same outfit on Sunday. I was the one who changed her clothes. The only activity I observed was a lady had a coloring page, set up a radio and had only one individual partaking. The only real time I saw a gathering of patients was at meal time. The only other people ( two or three) were placed in front of a TV that was seldom monitored... most of them were asleep. Of course, this was over a weekend, so I don't know if staffing was sparse. I just felt this was not the place for us.

My father was a resident of the memory care, and was only there for one month, before being told that he had to "get his medications straightened out" before he could come back. The Lodge signed an agreement that they would allow him to come back, but after a month at an inpatient unit, they determined that he could not come back. Memory care is for dementia patients, and the staff should be trained and able to deal with normal dementia behavior. This facility is not able or willing to that. The exorbitant cost should include all of dementia care. If your loved one has any difficult behaviors, don't waste your time or money. On a side note: [name removed] is the person we first talked to. She was amazing and very helpful. Definitely a great advocate and employee.

Staff turnover was very high and training and support of memory care staff was inadequate. My parents moved 12 months later due to concerns about food and mom's safety For assisted living I could recommend Queen Anne but not memory care. I'm fine having my name on it. My dad had many conversations with management prior to leaving since moving is really challenging and we all hoped Queen Anne Manor would work out.

I picked this community due to its short distance from family, and was newly opened and very nice. The food is ok, they changed to giving the residents an option instead of 1 thing for everyone. The facility looked clean when you first come in, but the upstairs kitchen was dirty and my dad's room floors were dirty. He made a mess, but I noticed the same food stains on the floor for over a week. The caregivers were kind and seemed to care for the residents. Like everywhere, they were short staffed.

There was a management change earlier this year and it seemed like they were making some changes to add more variety to the activities. The apartment was very nice, large and comfortable. The overall facility was nice but the communication was not good. The Care Director, [name removed] , would rarely respond to our calls, emails or texts. And it took numerous requests over four months to get the closet door repaired. We had to move mom to a secure facility and did tour the first floor at Harbour Pointe but were not impressed which made us look elsewhere.

I would tell others looking that you fit in better if you can walk, talk and socialize. If you can't, you might be left out. I would only recommend Mukilteo Memory Care to others if they were somewhat independent.

The facility itself is nice and well maintained. Administrative staff was friendly and mostly responsive. Service staff were hit and miss as far as training and proficiency. Food in the dining room was acceptable .... brought to the room .... unacceptable.

if you're looking for a senior living facility or an independent living community, The Lodge at Mallard's Landing would be absolutely excellent. my loved one needs assisted living and I do feel that the assisted side needs some work. I have been trying to collaborate with the staff on an effective plan for my loved one, but none of my calls have been returned. I don't feel that we're getting the assistance we need. I'm hopeful that this will change because it is a very clean, beautiful facility with super friendly people.

They are a newer facility and growing their employees and getting into the swing of things which we understood but we were having issues with the home health aids and communication. We were being told one thing by the home health aids and then other things from the nurse onsite at the community. The communication could be improved, but the staff members were wonderful and such angels.

My mom lived there for about a year and a half in the assisted living portion. Lots of turn over in management and staff during that time. The staff was helpful, although many things were inexplicably difficult. They could provide medication, but would not administer eye drops. The food went from OK to bad, to downright inedible due to turn over in the kitchen. Show up for a regular meal, not a brunch for a true taste. Scheduling transportation to doctors visits is often unhelpful as they will not escort your parent to the actual waiting room. They get a curb drop off. Also, scheduling outside of the pretty narrow pre-defined transport opportunities (one or two days a week) is difficult. Communication from the staff was OK regarding my mother's health. The staff would sometimes call, but other times, including an ER transport, would fail to make contact with a family member. Health events that may seem minor were not communicated unless you asked to see the health logs or notes. The rooms at HG are nice enough. The air conditioning and heating is provided by a through-wall unit which has a noisy fan. Windows can also be opened for outside air. The biggest concern was that at the end of my mother's life, they refused to allow her to have hospice at the facility. They would not provide care for her and we end up scrambling to find a new place for hospice (which there are few on-demand options!) at the very end when she was very ill. That is not a good outcome. Be sure to understand what care will and will not be provided during times of declining health as you may be surprised to be caring for your loved one while scrambling to find a facility at the same time. If you read this far, you already know, but you should read the inspection log book that they are required to have in the lobby. It tells about any findings by inspectors and what actions they took.

I met with [Removed] and was given a good tour of the memory care part of the facility . He did a great job. Nice enough place, but it is also going through some important upgrades. They are in the process of renovating (painting) so it will look better very soon. They are also adding an activities professional for the memory care residents soon. Nice outdoor spaces and beautiful old stately building. I'm waiting to get details to them from my mom's existing facility before getting a financial estimate but the just the rooms start at around 5800 - 6500 with no care and go up from there so I'm expecting 10k+/month.

The activities they offer are very sparse. I wish there were more activities. The food is very good. I’ll give that a five. It is very clean. The staff is very friendly and nice. It’s so very hard to find good memory care that isn’t price prohibitive.

A new company took over a month after my loved one moved in. We kept hearing things would get better and they would have more staff, but that did not happen. The food looked very good, but the portions were really big and nothing was tailored to my moms interests. It did not seem like they tried to cater to any individual needs or wants as far as the food goes.
