Most of the caregivers can't speak understandable English, can't cook meals and forget Dr's appointments or can't drive. When you call the office you may get an answering machine or while on hold get hung up. Very dysfunctional and unprofessional. Not happy at all and would advise looking elsewhere.

I would not recommend Right at Home to anyone in the state of Connecticut. This is far from quality care and there is a lot of lying and manipulation. It is a terrible shame. Please stay away and learn from the experiences of others who have been treated badly.

Why pay more for this company when you can get just as bad service for less money. We had a lazy ignorant person who only complained about her conditions and never bothered to do her tasks. Owner is unbelievable in her attitude. Some of the staff was apologetic for giving us a piece of trash. I have found a great company who is moving into Ozaukee county because they know the competition is terrible.

I contracted with this agency for my elderly grandparents. They charged me for two nursing assessments to determine the level of need, when the service agreement clearly stated $150 for a nursing assessment. Both grandparents are in the same home and I had already spoken to the nurse and explained in extreme detail both their service needs which were the same. The nurse didn't spend an hour with one person and then an hour with the other, but I was charged twice. They also assigned an aide that could not drive when my grandparents are homebound. [Name removed], the owner is also very rude and arrogant. The nurse [name removed] and scheduler were very pleasant and understanding of the difficulties when working with dementia and want to help you.

This company is atrocious! Theycharge extremely high live-in rates for caregivers they send and the caregivers have no idea what the company rules are and don't follow any protocol. They throw caregivers at you who can't speak English, are incompetent, and cry to YOU for more money. Their caregivers have made my life tremendously more difficult and the care they provide is minimal. Further, the only time the Right at Home office responds to you is when you threaten to go somewhere else. It has been caregiver hell dealing with them.

Terrible experience the caregivers had no experience dealing with alzheimers so they would complain to owner. Daily checklist was not completed wash dishes they make, no communicatiin with senior. Senior was treated more as a job no human personal or compassionate care. Same day no call no show for scheduled shifts. Hardship when needing care for senior and no one shows up for work and we need to adjust our schedule to cover. Owner [Removed] also cancelled all care no notice. No coverage for senior. We needed to research another company with alzheimers background and we did and it is much better. Without constantly worrying about parent.

We were ready to start with RaH and on the day to meet the caregiver the owner showed up 20 minutes late, didn't seem to be there and as we asked questions got disturbed, stood up and walked out!!! The caregiver seemed nice but I would not let this provider babysit my dog!!!!! The owner needs a Hugh attitude adjustment to continue in a service type profession!!
