Right At Home

Excellent choice!

we used them before, and will call them for backup care.

We are pleased thus far with the services provided by Right at Home in-home care provider.

Spoke with Right at Home the other day and told them of our finding a lady who was recommended by someone from church. If we should need any one in the future we have their number. Very nice people.

3 hour minimum. Billing monthly. Dad really likes the person who would be coming to help. She seems down to earth.

Administrator was very helpful. She has been in business for 15 years. They have 3 nurses on staff. She and the nurses build a care giver plan for the care giver based on the meeting with my dad. Her rate is $10/hour for 24/7 care plus room and board. Her rate is negotiable. This person can drive, cook, clean, do meds, and be a constant companion to dad. She will come out to meet us and my dad to understand the situation and recommend a person.

Spoke w/a nurse at length on the phone and rec'd info by mail. I like how their employee calls in upon arrival and when leaving the home.

My mother and I had spoken to them several times when we were thinking of having in-home care, and they were very helpful. One of their workers did stay with my father for one week when he first entered Emeritus, and he was wonderful!

Had a great conversation with this organization and feel they may be a great fit for Mom, unless we decide she should not live on her own any longer.

We were very happy with their services, but my father refused to continue in their care. My niece is helping out whenever my father feels he needs help and with his doctor appointments.

it was relatively easy to schedule our in-home care for my friend the management was very good at taking ownership of the care givers and so of them came well prepared and looked for things to do while others not as much and I had to explain things. I did think it was strange that they told me they could not brush her teeth because they were not CNA's. I did feel that my friend's care was good.

Anna spends a lot of time speaking with her and he shares his history. He's always happy when she comes and when I come home he's always talking about the different things Anna worked with him on. They come to the home to provide care services.

Mr Darryl is a regular, on time person. He does not push behaviors or activities on my husband. He looks for ways to be helpful and my husband has adjusted to having a companion. Probably the most significant advantage is to me. Knowing that I will have certain days when I can pursue my activities helps me be more patient and calm when I am the caregiver.

My experience with Right at Home was pretty good. There have been a few hiccups along the way, but overall, it worked out for my mom. They were very responsive, even when something wasn't done. They sent out the different caregivers to care for my mom, one in which she really bonded with, and could relate to. She felt very comfortable with her. I feel if they had some kind of match up system, possibly using a questionnaire, that would better match a caregiver and the individual they are providing care for then that idea would work best.

Most of the caregivers were very attentive. Management is very responsive to needs and requests and adjust if client requests. They care about their client and the people they assist.

I used Right at Home 2 days a week apart. The 1st day the caregiver was 15 min late and when to my neighbors house. The 2nd date she was also 15 min late. The care my wife needs is basically babysitting and that seemed fine. They don’t have a customers website and deal totally by phone. The first day she late I called but they weren’t open yet but I finally got through to an operator.

We had 24/7 care for my mom. In the beginning it was mostly for safety concerns and meal prep since she had oxygen. Right at Home also had problems planning a consistent group during the day. It finally got better and we had the same team helping my mom but it took months.The younger aids rarely would talk with my mom who was cognitively fine which was very disheartening.

Lady we had for first 3 days was great. Lady they sent for 4th day was apparently deathly afraid of dogs. Agency was notified of my 66 lb dog from day 1, and said it would not be a problem. The lady claimed the agency didn't tell her about the dog, the agency claimed they did and she had no problem with it. However, she did not move from the chair she sat in across the room, except once ro help my mom get a dish out, and a couple times when the dog came on that side of the room. She then stood behind the chair til the dog left that side of the room. Luckily we only needed the service for 4 days.

We had somewhat of a mixed experience with Right at Home. The girl they sent was very nice, and she did a good job when she was there. However, there was an issue with the reliability of the service. There was more than one instance of her not being able to show up due to car trouble.
