Mom my was a resident here from May 2019 until her passing in January. [Name removed] and all the caregivers at Pheasant Run are amazing. They brought peace of mind to my very troubled mind and heart when trying to find a place for my mom after the place she was in didn’t really want her back after a stint in the behavioral hospital. They understood my mom’s dementia, they had more patience with her, they gave us all peace. The anxiety of, “They’re going to kick her out.” has never happened here. I felt peace as soon as I left my meeting with them knowing this is where my mom needed to be. There is a true family feeling at Pheasant Run. The other residents become your family as do all the caregivers. They loved, cared, and worrird about my mom like she’s their mom. [Name removed] is continually learning about this horrible disease and training those he works with so that they understand how this disease works. He teaches a free class monthly for anyone to attend so that you can understand what’s going on with your loved one. The facility is beautiful, clean, safe, and warm. From the moment you walk in you are welcomed and cared for. The activities and field trips are wonderful, the food is yummy and they work with all dietary needs, the building is clean and bright and unobstructed. The caregivers are amazing and we’re so good not only to my mom but to our family. They took care of us all during her passing and helped us with whatever we needed. They gave us space after she passed to let us say goodbyes before they called the funeral home, and were there to help us through. They became my family. I thought the pricing was fair and I really can’t complain about anything. My mom was tasted with dignity and love and that’s what we were hoping for. Her dementia wasn’t an easy one, but they never made us feel like she was a problem. I am so grateful that we found Pheasant Run, it’s one of the few things of the last couple of years I don’t regret in terms of my mom’s care. She was loved. Thank you [name removed] and every single person who works there, you are making a difference every day!

My mom has been at Barrington for a year now. She is always clean, her hair is done, her room is clean, her meals r delicious, she gets her medications on time and she's involved in activities. Her overall health has actually improved and she's lost weight, which has helped with her diabetes. The staff truly care about the people they serve. They work hard to keep the residents involved with holidays, lots of activities, outings in the community. This is one of the BEST places I've ever seen. There's times when we go to see my mom and she would rather be involved with her friends than to go get ice cream with us lol. The best part about Barrington is the residents can get outside in the courtyard but can't get out and get hurt or lost. That's a huge relief for family members who have loved ones who wander. I can't say enough good things about Barrington. To me Barrington is like having a little piece of heaven right here on earth for people who struggle with this cruel disease. I will forever be grateful for how Barrington has loved my mom, treated her with respect and gone the extra mile when shes had bad days. They have also treated us with respect and dignity while we watch our dear sweet mom go on this difficult road of dementia.

My mom has been at Barrington for almost a year. They are kind, caring, compassionate, loving, concerned and honestly care about their residents. My mom is always clean, her room is clean and she's always involved in activities. Dementia is a cruel disease and its heart wrenching for families. I consider Barrington to be a piece of Heaven on Earth for those suffering from this disease. Believe me when I say that Barrington is the place to be.

Great facility! My family had to place my Father in a facility after he left our home alone. The staff was kind and understanding of his behaviors. They did not “sugarcoat“ disease they gave great education. They are a true leader in the Alzheimer’s industry.

I loved this facility. From the minute, you walk in the door you are greeted by a beautiful lobby, bright, natural light and soft music. It was cheerful and and welcoming. The backyard was very pretty. Little to no traffic and no outside noise. [name removed], the sale counselor was wonderful. She wasn't pushy and didn't keep me there for 2 + hours trying to 'sell' me. I was impressed with the amenities, the rooms, the activities. This location is at the top of the list for my parent.

One can only imagine the pain staking task to find a new home for your family that first of all does not want to leave their home. So finding the right spot was very important to us as our Mother and Sister lived in our house for 31 years. We knew they had to be someplace they would be happy. There like little apartments with all of their home furnishings around them. But let me be the first one to tell you we couldn’t be happier we found the Parsons House. Beautiful home like setting. Parsons house has all levels of care. They will watch and take care of your loved ones very closely. As well as a staff whom has become their surrogate family and genuinely cares about both of their well beings giving us the family tremendous peace of mind. We did hang on for a little while but when we saw how things were running smoothly and the caretakers were becoming like family to them we backed off. It was a very difficult decision to leave your beloved family members that you have cared for soo long over to someone else’s hands but when we saw the excellent personal care they were getting it got easy. My sister loves the activities [name removed] the director plans all kinds of different things for the residents to do. Takes them out on outings. Goes to the Casino and Botanical Gardens. As well as lunch outings. [name removed]the Director is awesome and will take care of all of your needs. She makes the residents feel like family. And for the holidays The Parsons House is decorated better than my house as well as the other holidays for the year. My mom goes to exercise and loves the food. (Unbelievable because she was a great Polish cook). [name removed] overseas the medical and will address and inform you of any issues she see brewing. Her staff will also take note of the resident’s behavior and wellbeing and keep us informed. So if this can be of any help to future family members that are making the difficult decision on where to put their family members please offer this letter to them or give them my number for a personal referral. Best of luck to you with your aging parent. Blessings! [name removed]

I can't say enough about their staff and facility. They took great care of my Grandmother until the day she passed. My Grandmother was the first resident at the facility and I have watched the facility grow. It has been an amazing experience to see how loving and compassionate the staff are to each and everyone. I am a caregiver my self and toured many facilities in the area. Putting your loved one in a care facility is not a easy task. We choose this facility before it even opened because we felt it had great concepts and really understood how to take care of Alzheimer's/Dementia. I have never looked back or regretted our decision. I am so glad that we selected the Barrington Place, they are hands down the best in the area!

They are wonderful and well trained here. They are very mature, caring and patient. The care was their top priority for the residents. It is nice and clean. They would always get him up and moving around. He was always clean and shaved up nicely. He unfortunately went downhill quickly but I'm so glad we had Barrington. I would recommend them to everyone.

My dad has been at Barrington for a month now. It is a lovely facility. The staff has been so kind to us and caring to my dad. We went to a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner there, and a fun Christmas program. One of the CNAs even sings oldies country music with my dad. I am glad he is in such a safe and secure facility.

If you are looking for an assisted living facility I recommend this location. After looking at several communities, my loved one love this one the best. What really sold it for her was the homey atmosphere. Their staff is very attentive, knowledgeable, and friendly. They have quite a few activities that they provide to the residents such as bingo, bunco, bible study, jewelry making, different people come in to play music, exercise classes, and video/movie night. The other residents that are there are also friendly and welcoming. Certain residents assumed certain jobs that give them a sense of entitlement. One gentleman is the “town crier”. He goes around in his wheelchair telling everyone what activities are happening at certain times. They do post fliers frequently to keep everyone up to date on what activities are happening daily, but sometimes other residents are not paying attention to the clock or remember the activities that they would like to do. Another lady offered to change out the menu at the end of each day in the dining room. So they gave her the menus and she changes it out in the plastic cover. There is also another lady who is their resident representative. If someone needs assistant with activities she helps out with that. We are really pleased.

If you looking for a safe place for your loved Mom or Dad and do not want to worry while they are being cared for. Parsons House Frisco is the place to take them. My mom lived there for 9 years after she had her stroke they gave her a 2 year life expectancy but I believe it was because she was sooo happy and well taken care of at Parsons House Frisco is the reason why she stayed with us so much longer. She loved the food and she was a fabulous cook. She loved going out on the Activities [Removed] is wonderful in keeping them all entertained. They go see Christmas lights and to the Casino and out to lunch a lot. Dallas Blooms...etc... As well as outings of all sorts to local stores and activities doing on in town. [Removed] Executive Director is awesome and attentive to all of your requests and suggestions and [Removed] Marketing Director is very wonderful as well making sure you have what you need in your little apartment. I just can't say enough about all of them. The 3 room apartment is just like home we actually brought her chandelier there from the house. She finally died at 89 of old age. We were soo blessed to have her soo long and we attest it to where she lived and was being taken care of. The careworkers are awesome and treated her like her own family member. She actually would want to go back there are 45min when she was visiting me at my house I knew she was happy then. I hope that this has helped someone make a very difficult decision. Make Parsons House Frisco your first and last stop I assure you won't be disappointed. May God Bless You! [Removed].

I like this place a lot, things are going well so far! The staff take great care of me. There are plenty of activities to participate in, like exercise classes, bingo, cards, games, or even just sitting at a table and talking with other residents. There are also planned outings, such as our recent trips to the ice cream parlour and the botanical gardens. The staff also take us to the grocery store when we need to go. I also like the fact that the facility can work with financial aid if I ever needed that option.

I can't say enough great things about this facility. My Mom is so picky and everything has gone well. The one bedroom is plenty large even for a large walker and wheelchair. It is more like a nice hotel than any of the other 5 facilities I visited. [Removed] is amazing! I don't know how she juggles everything on the management end. All the staff is friendly and genuine. So happy they have a wheel chair van and outings. Medical professionals come there, and they have religious services provided too. The afternoon music in the atrium is wonderful! We feel so blessed to have found "The Lodge" as Mom calls it.

We have been very pleased with the services and care that my mom receives at Barrington Place. All of the staff has taken great strides to get to know all about my mom's past medical history, food likes and dislikes, interest and hobbies. [Removed], the health coordinator does not miss a beat with making sure her physician is updated with all her health concerns. [Removed], the administrator has gone to great lengths to protect my mom financially. [Removed], the program director, got my mom crocheting ( something that she enjoyed in the past, but hadn't done for years) in the first week she was there. The chef takes great pride in making sure every resident has adequate nutrition.Although it is never easy leaving your home, they have done their best to provide a supportive, kind environment to protect her dignity.
