This is a nice facility. I've heard from a number of friends who have loved ones at this facility and recommend it. A drawback is a waiting list that can possibly be a long wait.

We toured this location when we were looking into options for a loved one. It was a nice looking place, and the staff were very friendly. They really went out of their way to make sure that we were taken care of and that any questions we had got answered. I felt like the decor was a little dated, and it seemed a bit dark inside, and this place was a bit more expensive than others we had looked at.

My dad was in the memory care unit, they were good, the staff were really good. There weren't any activities where he was, most of the people in that unit weren't even able to care for themselves but we had to put him somewhere that he could be safe for the time being. His dementia got worse from that time on, even though it was just temporary and a quick find, it turned out to be a good place.

We chose Christian Care Center because of the value they offer for what you get. They have very good prices, we were initially looking in the Dallas area but they were just too pricey. Another reason we picked it is because it is conveniently located for our family. It is in a residential community with plenty of trees and a garden. If we have any issues with the building or anything at all, we just speak with the staff and it gets taken care of right away and they are very accommodating when they do need to fix something as well. (Have not used Care Services am not able to rate properly)

It is a beautiful and clean community. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable regarding the questions we had during the tour. This community was our first runner up. The only reason we did not choose this community was due to the location.

From what I saw of this facility, it was very nice. However, i could not place my husband here because they could not accommodate him due to his health needs. The facility also did not have all of the amenities that he would have liked.

The apartments were smaller than we wanted. They had long hallways, and there wasn't a lot of interactions between the residents.

After receiving an email from Foxwood with this detail :(With this set up we are an entry fee based community and those entry fees for apartments start around $75,000 with a portion being refundable.), we knew Foxwood would not be a possibility.

We had Foxwood Springs on our list of possibilities because we are acquainted with a resident there. However, overall, I found the facility to very old and outdated. We ultimately chose another community for my wife’s care because Foxwood was just not a place I felt comfortable moving her into.

My parents are doing pretty well here at this community, but we do have some concerns. It was a ruff start at first with getting my parents adjusted to the community. I will say some staff members are better than other. The ones that are good have been very helpful and kind. Their responsive time could be better as well. The food needs improvement. At times in the evening they tend be under staffed. Overall it is still a work in progress for us here at this community.

Older facility that has been renovated. Very affordable assisted living apartments but my parents require different levels of care, so they could not stay together.

I was given a good piece of advice here - be wary of facilities that don't use a lift machine for the mobile challenged. As for the facility itself, what I saw of the Welcome and Wellness Center seemed fine, and the independent living area was nice and spacious with lovely rooms. The assisted living building, however, seemed cramped and smelly towards the laundry room. They do, however, encourage their residents to drink plenty of water by having naturally-flavored water stations throughout he complex. As for special ammenities, there are shopping carts to take transport groceries, underground parking, wheelchairs for field trips, a machine to adjust font size and tint if books in their library, Berber carpets and handrails to help prevent falls, convenience store (though it was closed during my visit), and a machine to transfer physically-challenged residents into the pool. On a special note is their rain fitness classes. They utilize hearing and vision to work on memory, navigation, sequencing, and other brain cranial functions with computers, and even have a graduation. The computers also use MyGait which is user friendly for those who are not very comfortable with all computer apps.

I visited the facility with the marketing director for the independent living area, who introduced me to a lot of the staff in the memory care unit. It was modern a facility with excellent staff and residents were mostly in double rooms with furniture provided. Although the rooms were attractive, they were more institutional because of the uniform layouts and furniture. Doors are always kept open, even at night. The bathrooms did not have showers, they are bathed in a common shower facility. Most of the residents were sitting in a central area watching television, but I observed little interaction between them while I was there, although it was in the late afternoon. Residents can be taken to activities outside the memory facility with an attendant. It was more expensive than the other facilities that I have visited so far. Although many aspects were attractive, I was not sure the room sharing and institutional atmosphere would appeal to my mother.

One of my loved ones lived in the Greenway Village Independent Living, and that was a good experience. However, my other loved one lived in the Memory Care and that was not a good experience. They did not have enough staffing available in the Memory Care, and it definitely showed. We ended up having to find another option without much of a choice.

My parents signed a residency contract that allows Foxwood Springs to retain for over a year, the $100,000 entrance fee, after they die or move to another facility. It is a contract that I want to warn people about I did not want my parents to stay there because of the dismal care that my mom received while in the health care center. This included a broken arm while in their care and pee covered floors in the room. The $100,000, I think is meant as a pressure to stay at Foxwood, because it can be applied to the additional costs of living in assisted living rather than independent living.

My experience with my mother is that the assisted living is woefully and chronically understaffed. There is a huge staff turnover, especially with management. Reported problems do not get fixed, and prevailing attitude with the organization seems to be profit over people. There are, of course some staff members who try to do their jobs well, but that seems to be the exception. They have emergency call necklaces, but there was a quicker response in the independent living apartments than there is in the assisted living section.
