I haven't even got my dad moved in yet and I already have a review to post. Let me first say that he has been at two other nursing homes in the past 6 months so I do have something to compare it to. First I want to say you wouldn't know you were walking into a nursing home when you walked in. They have a small restaurant right by the front door, a little sitting area and a large fish aquarium. There are tables set all throughout the hallways with tea, coffee, water and water with lemon. All the staff that we came across was nice. They have a pretty large library, a workout room with a treadmill, exercise bike, free weights, pool table, in ground pool, they have theee busses available to give the residents a ride to dr appts, to the store or to activities. They also have a small general store in the facility. I will write a review in a couple months after we have been there for a while but so far I feel very blessed for my dad to be able to go there.

We love it!

My mom really likes her new community and the apartment. She also likes that it is totally independent, but with people that she can talk to. We like that they provide transportation to the residents for the store and they go on different outings.

We think it's a great place.

We think it's a great place. We like how attentive they are. They always remind him when meals are. They are really efficient and punctual about everything they say they are going to do. The people really seem to care. They say the food is absolutely great, and it is! Word of mouth is one of the main reasons we were interested, and once we saw them it was a pretty easy decision.

I have toured Christian Care and, had guest lunch at least twice. I was very impressed with Christian Care. They spent a lot of time with me and, willing provided all financial information I needed. While it turned out I was not quite ready to make this big decision, I assure you Christian Care will be at top of my list.

Happy with Robins Run

Very impressed with Robins Run. The staff treated the residents with dignity and friendliness. The residents were very friendly and spoke highly about the facility. Everyone was very informative and didn't hesitate to help us out. My Mother will move in at summers end and after that, I can answer with better knowledge.

Impressed with the warmth

Very warm atmosphere. Experience with residents and staff was very friendly. Looked at garden homes and met with the health care administrator. Homes were older, but updated. Administrator was excellent. I would not describe the atmosphere as "institutional". Far from it. On the top of our list!

A great place to live!

My wife & I have lived at Robin Run Village for 7+ years, and are very happy here. My life before was rich and satisfying. But it is considerably richer now. To us, the best asset of RRV is the wonderful community. It is a vital, caring, friendly place to be. We have experienced some severe "bumps in the road," (for instance: the death of a son; and a health crisis keeping me in medical facilities for 6 months),, We could not have asked for a more compassionate community -- residents and staff -- who surrounded us and supported us. We each have made very helpful use of the excellent therapy teams (physical, occupational). There are playful opportunities, challenging activities, enjoyable entertainment and fun excursions. If you have an interest which is not being served here, the staff will help support starting something new. A large proportion of the programming is resident-initiated and resident run. The facilities are well cared for and are continually being updated and improved. Maintenace issues are typically dealt with very quickly. Recently-built accomodations for Assisted Living and for Memory Care are first rate. The administration is sensitive and responsive to the needs and problems which residents encounter. Through the Resident Council we have significant input. Robin Run Village is not perfect. But we love being here.

Great recent improvement

My husband has been in Robin Run Health Care for a year and a half. The Center is very clean and odor free. The Rooms are big and all have windows that look out on the beautiful Robin Run grounds. The Center receives High marks from the State Health Department because the staff are very careful about keeping good records. While in the past there have been periods where there were too few nurses and aides with problems with prompt care, recently a new administrator, and the promotion of a very caring and organized head nurse have brought remarkable improvements.: Regular attendance of an enlarged number of both hurses and aides has resulted in prompt, caring response to bedside lights, and routine care that brings all residents to breakfast in a timely manner. I am very satisfied with the new regime. Another plus of being a part of the Robin Run Residences is that there are many Robin Run residents visiting patients. Finallly, there is a bimonthly meeting for family members of Health Care residents led by an experienced group leader who sends a report of each meeting to the RR Director and the Health Care administrator - who respond with appropriate directives.

Great experience with Robin Run

We feel blessed to have found Robin Run Retirement Village. It is even more and better than we ever dreamed. Friendliness everywhere, and neighbors who are friendly and helpful. The dining room is inviting and the food is usually very good. We live in a Garden Home and have very adequate space with 2 bedrooms 2 full baths, office and sunroom. Our dog loves the new dog park too! [Name removed]

Nice Surprise

I feel at peace knowing that my mother is being cared for so well. From the nursing staff to the housekeeping to the administration they are all wonderful and go out of the way to make sure the residents feel comfortable and respected. They offer quite a few activities such as movie night and my mom got a chance to go out to lunch which she hasn't done in a long time which gave her much joy. One major thing that impressed me was that the staff appears to actually like the company they work for and most of the staff has been there for about 10 years or so not a lot of overturning as far as staff goes. Pricing isn't an issue, in fact, we got a nice surprise when we got the first bill my mom had been evaluated at a higher level of care but when the bill came the community had taken it upon themselves to adjust the bill down to the room rate which helped. I have since recommended this property to other people.

Being upgraded in 2015/2016

My parents moved in to an independent living apartment early in 2009. They paid a large buy-in fee and have a reasonable monthly fee. Assuming they have a long and happy life, in the long run they will save when compared to larger month to month fees paid by some. From the people we've talked to who have lived other places, few are as friendly as Foxwood Springs. It is one of the few places that thrives on resident volunteers. A perfect example is the on-site TV station the produces a remarkably professional talk show every weekday morning with guest interviews and local news...all staffed and operated by volunteers. Foxwood Springs has aged gracefully, but now that it is a Brookdale property a lot of improvements are happening right now (October 2015) and will continue until the entire place will have a major facelift both inside and out. We, the children of residents at Foxwood Springs, would recommend the facility highly to those looking for a friendly active lifestyle.

So far our experience with Robin Run Village has been a good one! It is a clean, well kept facility, and the staff have all been very friendly and caring. DayStay at The Courtyard at Christian Care Center Mesquite

Early December my mom came to live with me and my husband. I was on a leave of absence, but had to return to work in April. Mom is physically self sufficient , but has dementia; mom could not stay alone during the day. I debated the in-home care with an individual, but wanted her to have the interaction with other seniors. The Courtyard at Christian Care Center Mesquite has been great. Mom is a Day Stay resident. I drop her off mornings in time for breakfast and pick her up after work. The staff is so friendly and the atmosphere is welcoming. When you walk in you feel at home. They have aquariums, courtyards, and a resident pet, CC. She greets us most mornings. We are in our third week at CCC.

Very nice apartments and helpful staff.

We were told there would be enough for 2 meals at lunch, but it never seemed that plentiful. There were a lot of offerings for activities, but we couldn't get her to join in anything. It was a very nice place. We would have kept her there if she had felt connected to it (friends and activities that she didn't join in) and if the food situation had been better. As it is, we moved her to a small apartment that is significantly less $ and we provide the food. She is just as content as she was there.
