I’m a retired teacher, and if you find any value in my qualifications, do NOT take your relative to Memory Care at Rose’s. The administration and workers misrepresent the truth with all they claim to do for their patients. Some of the workers are rough and loud with them, scaring them… They lose their clothes and drop them in the wrong rooms. They don’t take them to the bathroom enough, resulting in UTI’s. They do NOT hydrate them regularly causing them to go to the hospital. Don’t be fooled by their calendar of events. They do not happen regularly, it’s all a show.

My mother in law spent [price removed] for [date removed]. They told us her assessment would be done in the 1st month. Apparently she did too much stuff on her own...because nobody would show up when she called for help. A nightmare from start to finish.

We carefully looked at many senior living options and definitely would not recommend Wyndemere. The food was tasteless, they are disorganized, and the place appeared dirty. When we told them that we decided not to move to Wyndemere, they began pressuring and harassing us.

Ultimate bait and switch. Gorgeous building and decor housed with people promoting tours and glamorous amenities when the dollar is the bottom line- not care. The leadership treats the most vulnerable resident population, who pay the most and are confused, are treated the worst. Do not be fooled by the hundreds of people who write reviews because they are solicited to do so following a tour and a luncheon.

The Clarendale has had a change in leadership - with C.P. is now the running the community as executive director. She has repeatedly let down the residents and families. She does not allow the staff to meet the minimum standard of care. She has proven to be negligent over and over again. We left the Clarendale because we feared for our parents safety. Please beware - [name removed] does not care about ALF or memory care. She is the reason for the mass exodus of staff and residents alike. Our family would strongly advise against the Clarendale. The quality of care is non existent.

I was a patient on the rehab unit. The physical facility is lovely and the food is good. The staff was less than I expected.. They were frequently short of staff. I received infrequent physical therapy. Many staff members were not willing to help you and some were outright mean. After two weeks there I caught Covid and had to be transferred back to the hospital. I complained about a cough for days. Every night they tested me for Covid and said the test was negative. Finally I called my own primary care physician who transferred me to the hospital where I immediately had a positive test to Covid in the emergency room.

Very disappointed with the lack of care in the most expensive unit and most vulnerable patient population in the building…. Memory care unit. Both of my parents are there for advanced Alzheimer’s memory care. We made the decision because the clarendale boasted about their wonderful dementia certified specialist- who we LOVE. That incredible individual left being the director of the unit two weeks ago, and the leadership is failing our parents. They hired a mediocre replacement, didn’t inform any of the families or caregivers until my sister met w leadership about the replacement. No email, call or letter was sent re: the continuity of care. Countless staff members resigned because of the director of the clarendale. She treats the people she works with horribly. Be sure you check out the reviews on Google for the Clarendale Clayton….more than 75% are reviews solicited by the company after tours and events for the public- not actual residents/ families. The caregivers in the unit are A+!

My mother was told a nurse would be available when and if needed, which was not true. After my mother moved in she was forced to move out after 3 days and 2 nights due to a complete lack of a nurse. Bother management and the receptionist said a nurse was not on site and unavailable.

We took a tour of The Watermark at Broadway Cityview during our search for an Assisted Living facility for our loved one. This facility was terrible. It was way overpriced and it felt dark and outdated.

Last evening as i was leaving from seeing my aunt there was a brawl outside people (staff) fighting crowds of people just standing there. Very unfortunate I will be looking for my aunt another place to live. I'm so saddened by this behavior here.

Terrible front line management. The sales person was quite rude to me and has zero people skills. Can't believe they are in this job. I had to call multiple times just to reach someone. I'd definitely look elsewhere.

We placed mom in memory care at Clarendale. It looked like a wonderful place but within a month and a half mom fell 7 times, was sent to the ER 4 times & had to spend 4 days in the hospital. We brough in overnight care for mom because that's when she usually fell. We also stayed overnight & noticed on 2 occasions the staff sleeping. With overnight help falls stopped but them she started falling during the day. It is very hard to get ahold of anyone in the memory care department. We checked on mom frequently & can't imagine what would have happened to her if we hadn't. We were there at dinner & the staff would put the food down for the residents but really didn't try to get them to eat much. If they needed help they would usually only get a couple bites. Mom was moved to another facility. She was put on hospice at the new facility & died 2 months later. We do not blame Clarendale for her death but do blame them for the pain she suffered the last months of her life.

If you really loved your “mom”, or anyone for that matter who you are considering sending to this location, DONT. Run as fast as you can. Management is absolutely terrible. You’ll swear the people you meet are nice and friendly but it’s a facade to get your money. Executive Director is never in office & always promising to share time with residents but she is never anywhere to be found, this is a consistent thing. They’ll tell you she’s in her office but really, she’s never in the building. The whole building could be in disarray but she’ll blame everyone else on her terrible management skills. She talks down on the employees, blames them for everything and never takes accountability. Cooks use hands to put food on residents plates. Care staff laughs at and or talks down to residents in their face or behind their backs. Turn over rate is awful. Don’t be fooled by the smiles, sweet talk and look of the building. Save your money and run fast.

The Clarendale At Indian Lake is a very attractive place, lots of activities, great people, and management is friendly. Today we went to lunch to find out that they were taking names and seating us in the bistro. It looked like maybe 1/3 of the dining room tables were occupied. We were told that they would call us when it was time for us to be seated. The only explanation that the server gave us was I was told to do this. As a two-year resident, I can honestly say the dining experience at the Clarendale at Indian Lake is a joke.

Im not sure what in the world is going on at Richmond Place but I’m sick of it. I’m sick of every weekend my mother calling me to bring her food because the service is God awful. Im sick of it. What’s the purpose of my mom paying thousands a month, only to receive cold, tasteless food after waiting for 45+ minutes because they have no staff! I’m having to drive a hour into Lexington to bring my mom food, ridiculous! This place is falling apart. The owners of this community need to send help immediately because this place is a becoming a joke!

They were absolutely horrible. I pulled my loved one out of there a month and a half into being there. They very seldom checked on my loved one, they did not follow their medication schedule. My loved one got sick in there and the staff just ignored my loved one until I called their hospice nurse. She came and got my loved one out of there and put my loved one into the hospital where my loved one recovered. I'm in the middle of writing up a formal complaint that I'm sending to the state and a couple of other organizations. I would never recommend Harbour Village to anyone ever.

Place treated my father like a dog.... keep your loved one at home... no communication at all, found the ladies laying around, wouldn't change my father... I hope one day those nurses who took care of my father have there mom or dad treated the way they treated him...

Our family had an in person tour and we felt just based on the tour experience and even though it was very new it was very cold and we just did no like it.

My family member moved in within the last 6 months. Hoping by now my rev. would be better. It’s been hard dealing with the new Ex Dir./ management of Watermark. Promises were not kept and residents were treated disrespectfully when questioned. Rent was raised several hundred dollars. The one included meal/day is now charged per item and deducted from a $500 allotment (main/side) w fees for pkg & food delivery/bags, to apt. We were reassured staff turnover was not a concern. That person quit and move in-day was a disaster. Apartment was not clean w serious maintenance issues. No staff was present. Residents fought for mold removal, cleaning and working appliances. They were promised rent compensation which Resident insisted in writing. When received, Exec Dir. reduced it and residents had no recourse. Reno’s are looking good. The on-call IL supervisor [name removed], front desk,PT, podiatry, salon are great!! Watermark needs to know caring for residents they serve is as important the money.
