Clarendale West is just beautiful! My brother really loved it there, and I enjoyed visiting there. The staff was very friendly and nice. Fine dining in the evenings with free wine. They also have a happy hour in the bar each day at 4:30. The food was delicious. Negative was a limited menu that was the very same for weeks on end. Example: tomato bisque soup, while extremely good, was the only option for a month. The other negative is the head, [Name Removed]. When my brother was hospitalized and suddenly spiraling downward, she refused to meet with me because I had no legal status. She would not even talk to me on the phone. I have been his caretaker over the last year. His two daughters live out of state and were not present. My brother came back to his apt. with me under hospice. He died a week later, with no comments from Clarendale. When he died, there was no card, no note, no flowers! Then we vacated his apt. Over the week end and left one table and some boxes to be shipped to his daughter in Nevada. She was arranging shipping with a transport, and Clarendale charged for several days into the new month because their director in charge of that was on vacation and she couldn't finalize the pick up. It seemed no on else on staff was capable of stepping in. Therefore, to sum it up, the move in and early experience was fine , but the exit experience couldn't have been much worse!

A beautiful, newer community with plenty of activities and a team that genuinely listens to residents and makes improvements based on their feedback. It's clear they value input and are willing to make changes. One area that could use improvement is dining service, which can be inconsistent at times. Food options may also not fully meet all dietary needs. Overall, a positive experience with room for growth in these areas.

My mother-in-law has been at Clarendale for three years and every time we visit her the staff is friendly, and the facilities are always welcoming. She is very happy with her friends and the daily activities. She is always busy.

The food was delicious and the staff very accommodating. The facility is well maintained and has a very comfortable environment.

My dad has been living at Havenwood of Buffalo for the last few years. We are so grateful to have a place so close that cares for him so well and makes us feel like family. Even my dog loves to visit my dad and the caring staff!

Very satisfied with the care my father in law is getting. He likes the food and his room. He has plenty of space and a view of the courtyard. He has started participating more in the activities. Loves the ice cream socials. Staff has been great. Just had to remind them about scheduling a haircut and toe nail trim. Everything has always been clean and well maintained when we have visited.

We love it here. Great amenities. Great facilities. Great people, both residents and the help, which is the best. Great food. Loads of activities. Shortcoming’s are few. Keeping good people is a real problem. Management tries but doesn’t always get it. Several very important management and other vacancies have recently opened. These are critical. Movement on issues is very slow. These are reminded/reviewed regularly.

The facility is beautiful. Kept very clean. The staff was great. The point I took off was due to the weekend Staff which seemed weak. And what I mean by that is I would get a phone call or a text sometimes like 1 o'clock or 2 o'clock in the morning saying Mom didn't take her midnight pill. For respite care I was expecting them to be able to handle something like that. Also, if it was a midnight pill, I wouldn't definitely not wake Mom up and I did tell them that it wasn't necessary to wake her up to take medicine, but that's you know a small thing. Mom was probably a little uneasy at the location because she's never was in a respite care situation before.

Life is extremely pleasant here at the Delaney. I was the tenth person who moved here after it opened and I have been very happy here as a resident. The activities are wonderful, the staff members are excellent and totally committed in taking care of us.

I think it was kind of a rough start. I feel like a lot of things got missed. The first time I visited the staff stood around in the kitchen chatting. No interaction between staff and residents. The staff is very nice and helpful if you seek them out. My next visits were better, but again not much interactions. I feel like my Dad has been lost this whole time on what she was getting and what he expected. I am not sure what was told to him The meetings with Social worker and nurse director helped a lot. I think myom.is doing better. The rooms are fine and work well. It is disappointing that she does not have an actual closet. But my Dad knew that.

The people make it easy to get acclimated and I have not felt left out at all. I like the food and it has always been high quality. I have to remind the girls about some things but they are always there to help once I ask, outside of that I am very happy.

I lived alone at home and wasn’t sure if I was going to stay after healing from rehab, but I made so many friends that it changed my mind to be more social. I am so happy with the activities and neighbors.

People, staff friendly, food tasty, plentiful.

For senior living, I would recommend the Bellingham at West Chester highly. 4 nights here so far, and they have made me feel very welcome as a newcomer. Food is good. And the rural setting is very beautiful! I am looking forward to hiking the lovely trails just steps from the door!

It was hard to make friends at first but my mom is having fun with the activities and slowly meeting people. The staff is very caring. They check on you if they don't see you at meals or at activities.

My mother, who has dementia, lives in this facility. Overall I have a good feeling about where she is at. I feel like she is safe, well-fed. These are my frustrations: - While I realize that there are many residents and staff is busy, I would appreciate better communication. My mother cannot communicate to me what goes on. I need to be told if she is in need of something (clothing item, adult diapers etc). I wasn't even told that she was incontinent and I needed to supply the diapers. It just became apparent. I would like to know if she is getting a shower or refusing. - Her clothes disappear. When she moved there I marked her clothing with her name. Her pants went missing. I bought her new pants which she only has one pair of now. I don't think I should have to go searching for her clothes. If they go to the laundry they need to be returned to her.

Redid the flooring throughout (not in unit rooms) which was a nice upgrade. Like any place, some of the staff is excellent and some do the bare minimum. The receptionists are friendly when you walk in. You need to be an advocate for your loved one, as in any facility. Have many nice activities for the residents and also families during the holidays. Overall we are very happy with the place.

The food offered could include better food options for diabetics.

I toured Belleingham Independent Living twice. The second time I brought my mom and brother. We all agreed this would be a good fit for mom at the age of 90. She was apprehensive to leave her home, but knowing I was only 10 minutes away, and Bellingham Staff had a quick response time to resident emergencies, she agreed. Mom has met new friends and is learning her way around. Her apartment has recently been rennovated, and any concerns were addressed immediately. The staff we have interacted with have all been professional, friendly, and caring. I am happy with the choice we have made with Bellingingham Independent Living. Loretta and Cheryl helped make this a smooth and easy transition!
