While my mother was reluctant to go to senior living, we talked her into it with the promise that she still had her house, we hadn't yet sold it, and she could come home of she so desired. Weeks one and two were an adjustment, for all of us, but we managed Weeks three and four were constant complaints that made no sense, items that were fully rectifiable if mom called the front desks and asked for help. Since then it's been smooth sailing. The staff really cares, the accommodations are beautiful, and the only continuing complaint my mother has is that if she waits too long to eat dinner, some of the popular items are gone. All in all, I would recommend Bellingham to anyone. It's a beautiful facility, filled with caring, kind and compassionate people.

We are extremely pleased with the facility, the staff, the FOOD, the activities and the size of the units. We are convinced we made the right choice (since May 25)

We needed respite care and South Port Square had availability. We had only looked at one other facility that offered respite care and found South Port Square was much nicer and cheaper. The biggest factor in choosing them was they had availability, we would definitely use them again if needed. I had one gripe in that the carpet in my mom's apartment was too plush to easily maneuver a walker or wheelchair. The hallway's carpet was much better for walkers and wheelchairs. Also, it seemed the bathrooms in her apartment weren't wide enough for her to maneuver a walker in; something we didn't realize until after moving her in.

Mom opted for the larger sized single bedroom. The standard size was too small for her and a two bedroom was too expensive. She is under medication management due to previously abusing OTC medication. They do a good job of keeping her medications under control in spite of her insistence that she can do this for herself. All the staff are pleasant and helpful. [name removed] does an excellent job of trying to provide activities for the residents. They frequently get her out to events that she would not attend as she tends to self-isolate. Her apartment is kept relatively clean. They can't pick up after her messes multiple time a day but they do a good job.

The tour was most enjoyable. We were shown a property in the Villas. We were delighted with the property size - perfect for us. The location is very convenient for us as we have friends who live close by. Having access to the main Bayshore Apartments Building, Pool and Water View make it a very good choice to retire too.

The staff care, but are often slow to respond to patient calls (30+min). The food is good, but not kept warm if brought to patients room. Room size is quite sufficient.

Overall, this is a great place. The sales team, administrators, and front desk staff have all been wonderful. The community is always clean, and my mom’s apartment is spacious, comfortable, and overlooks a beautiful courtyard. The activities are great, too. Most of them aren’t really my mom’s thing, but they’re fun, diverse, and the activities staff does an excellent job. My only complaint is the dining room staff. The food is usually good, but there have been a few times when my mom had a legitimate complaint about her meal. Since then, it feels like she’s been treated differently. The staff, especially the head chef, can be rude and dismissive to her, while they’re very friendly with other residents. It’s disappointing because every resident should be treated with kindness and respect, even when they have concerns. Other than that, we’ve been very happy with the community.

In general, Harbour village is great from my perspective . The staff is wonderful to my mom, and I love that dinners are included and the continental breakfast. Mom does as many activities as she is able and is taking advantage of PT. Love that pets are allowed. She has a cat for some companionship. Love that apartments are painted and carpeted with each resident exchange. The building itself is not built for older adults. I have had to assist with getting pulls added to cabinets, I've personally added pull out cabinet organizers in lower cabinets in kitchen so she can use them (she cannot bend, but with the pull outs, I've added storage for her) (this should be standard). Doors are heavy (closets, apartment doors, and common trash bin specifically) and my mom is not able to use many of them easily or at all (she cannot open the trash bin on 4th floor to throw things away).

The facility was really nice and the apartments seemed spacious. However, we realized that the distance to my very regular appointment was too far.

The residents are so kind. They love seeing my kids. Something I have experienced and I know has been an issue, is the length of time it takes from ordering food to getting it. I also know residents have experienced ordering an item that's on the menu and the kitchen has already run out of it. I can imagine how frustrating that could be.

Good staff and very clean facility and room. Nurses are pretty good. Staff nice. I would recommend. my brother and I are happy that our parents are in Freedom Square, we feel good because we know they are safe.

Staff is good. I have been having trouble getting phone calls returned from sales and marketing. No one has referred me to the proper person. Care, activities, food, cleanliness, are all great. Room/apt sizes are as advertised.

The facility is very clean, the ratio of providers to residents is good.

They were the easiest to work with and we were in a crunch which they worked with for personal care. We like the facility. It's a great place. The price is high though.

I was very impressed with [name removed] on how knowledgeable and friendly she was. The staff and the residents we met along the tour were so nice and welcoming. I especially appreciate that [name removed] reached out over the phone some time prior to us meeting, and she provided suggestions and a referral to a service who can assist with moving from a home to an assisted living facility. [name removed] took her time and I did not feel pressured. I cannot wait to take my mother there for her tour and get her thoughts.

The rooms are very nice with plenty of space. There are lots of fun activities to do. The meals are fantastic with plenty to eat. The staff is nice and helpful.

The place was new and fresh and well appointed. Pools and restaurants were lovely, as was the library and all the public areas. Gardens were nice too. The bedrooms are on the small side and closet space is sparse. A few of the layouts were goofy; one with a living room you would be hard pressed to get a sofa and tv in and it was right in the a pass through area from kitchen to bedrooms. And another where they combined two, one bedroom apartments to make one and the result was a kitchen counter that was 15 feet long. And again, a configuration that makes creating a comfortable and intimate living room area difficult. One model though I did really like for my Stepmom.

The administration was so accommodating and listened to our requests. Dining staff genuinely friendly and always making sure diners received meals to their liking.

They have a one stop shopping price (at least for memory care). No hidden fees. There was a one time move in fee that was outrageous [Amount Removed]. I guess this is normal for these facilities, but it was not brought up out front during visits. The staff has been very receptive to my questions and gets back to me quickly. I find that I do have to stay on top of things and ask lots of questions in order to advocate for my mom. I appreciate they have a pharmacy that works directly with [name removed] as well as OT/PT inside the facility. The visiting doctors who come directly to [name removed] have been great as well. Mom not having to leave the building for appointments has been convenient.

The staff are very helpful, knowledgeable and responsive. I would recommend them to others who are searching for care for their loved one.
