Our family had an in person tour with The Parker and based on the tour experience solely, we would give them 5 out of 5. I liked their step-up care program and the way they discussed how the residents might move through that process. It was clean and fresh looking. Nothing dingy. I liked the apartments. Most of all I liked their one line item billing.

Our family had an in person tour with Symphony at Centerville and the tour experience was nice enough, but for our loved ones needs to was not enough to be a top contender and they did not have any availability when we were ready to move.

Very nice people at Proveer. They don't communicate as well as they used to. I'm hoping it's just the change over in management. We moved mom there in December, and then in February Proveer took over. The facility itself is top notch.

Overall, I find this facility to be clean and the staff and residents to be friendly. I think I made the right decision to have my loved one here. The staff is very friendly and they look out for the residents. I feel like they do their best. The waiting area of the facility feels very comfortable. The residents are able to enjoy a nice outdoor area to sit and/or take walks. What I like about my loved one's studio apartment is that he has a kitchenette. Not all places have that. I do have a couple of suggestions for improvement. I would like to see more diversity within the management staff. Also, during the holidays when staff is short, there needs to be a stronger protocol in place if there's an emergency . Lastly, I would like to see more variety with the meals, especially breakfast. But again, overall it's a good place. They try to make it a friendly and pleasant place to be. I would recommend this facility to family and friends.

What we really like about this community is the closeness to everything! And the people are so friendly too. Given the chance we would recommend this community to other families based on the experience we have had so far.

I toured this community and it was nice, but expensive.

While our loved one was there we appreciated how much the staff members got to actually know our loved one and really treated him as if he was apart of their family. They really are wonderful people so for that the value was worth it. They were so awesome and also communicated to us anytime something happened to matter how big or small and we would absolutely recommend them to other families based on the experience that we had.

We are totally pleased with SummerHouse Byrd Springs. They have gone to every effort to make sure Dad is comfortable and feels at home. Highly recommend them. Great staff.

The Parker gets all 5 stars. Appearance, cleanliness, food and friendliness of staff all outstanding. My family member has not had a single complaint in his time there since admission!

Our tour experience with Vicinia Gardens of Otsego was very positive. The facility was beautiful and staff were friendly. Unfortunately the pricing was just too expensive.

Great place, I like the fact that I am allowed to install a surveillance camera in my father-in-law's room.

I would recommend this community if you have a family member who needs quality memory care. Like every place they don't have enough staff but they try their best. The chef goes the extra mile to cook food that we provide for my loved one that she is able to eat. In the activities room there is tv and usually have movies playing, but my loved one isn't active in the activities as of yet. You do get more for your money with this community. The facility doesn't have a nurse in the facility 24/7 but I wish they did have a nurse in the building 24/7. When anything happens to my loved one, they call immediately and let us know what is going on.

Symphony takes care of my husband for over a year now. I love visiting with him and seeing the smile he has on his face. He gets to play games and go out to eat with [name removed]. I just love everyone there they are my family.

SummerHouse is going through a transition to new ownership but seem to be handling it pretty well. Be sure to stay in touch with the staff to know what's going on with your loved one. The staff have always been very friendly and helpful when I have questions or requests. And the other residents are really friendly as well. I'm glad to have that for my dad, who really needed to be around another people. They go on a variety of different outings - to Walmart once a month, to thrift stores. They went to a play rehearsal at reduced ticket price, and they go out to lunch. On-site at SummerHouse, they have activities like karaoke, bingo, cooking classes, gardening classes, movie nights. I like that they have an enclosed courtyard, so you don't have to worry about people who don't have any business being in the facility coming around and taking advantage of your loved one. They also have a screened in sunroom so you don't get attacked by mosquitos. l also like that they have meetings with the residents once a month to discuss things and get resident input. Some communities have pullcords in the rooms, but I prefer SummerHouse's pendant system, where residents wear a pendant and can therefore call for help anywhere within the facility, and not just in their room. It has been an adjustment for my dad going from living on his own with complete autonomy to now living in assisted living with someone else deciding when it's time to take medications or have meals and things like that, but it has been a positive change overall.

I would highly recommend SummerHouse Heritage Woods. I like everything about it, per my above ratings. The staff are very friendly, and they look after my loved one and pamper him. He loves the food and won't even miss a meal to come eat with me.

The main reason that we decided on The Parker was because all of the staff members that I met here during the tour were great. The one problem they have is they only have one maintenance man, so very seldom does that stuff get done in a timely manner. But the staff totally makes up for that - they are so sweet to my sister in law. I would definitely recommend the facility to others looking.

I was going to put my loved one here but unfortunately they did not pass the cognitive test. I really liked the facility, it was very nice and I liked the layout. The only downfall was on one side of the building all of the rooms face a brick building, so when you look out the window that is all you see and that's where my loved ones room was going to be.

We expected more activities and the calendar looks good but things frequently don't happen. There is no one on the weekend to run activities so those on the schedule are just suggestions. We expected that Mom would have scheduled showers and that someone would come every morning and night to help with dressing but she is expected to press her call button to request assistance which we have had a hard time getting Mom to do as she doesn't want to "bother" anyone. It's important to have someone visit often because it seems like you can't trust that services will be provided as promised. It took about a month to get the cable TV working and the wifi is still not good 2 months later. Having said that, the staff are very friendly and kind. I think that like many places, they are struggling to get adequate staffing so that might explain the shortcomings.

I had a positive experience with Symphony of Centerville. The staff were kind and caring and did their best. They were often short staffed, as every place is, but they really worked hard to take care of their residents.

If your family member is healthy and can talk and is not sick, its a great place to be. If your family member is sick, I would never put them here. The medical staff didn't return calls, they downplayed my concerns for my loved one. The medical care is bad. I would never put any one there again unless you can have someone there to take care of them. The executive team was great.
