No one on staff after 7pm. Residents are given a "life alert" pendant that reaches pd or fd for 7pm to 7am. Care is given by Harvest Monday thru friday only. Place smelled like old stale urine.

We did not care much for this place. Our tour guide was very nice and informative, however the facility needed a lot of remodeling. The rooms that were available and ready to show exhibited very poor quality on the remodel.

[Name removed] was a pleasure. We really enjoyed her. Unfortunately, this place is DATED, very! The rooms had odd angles, no kitchen just a kitchenette, with tiny refrigerators. Felt like I had walked into a bad college dorm. Nice grounds but the rooms-just would not put my in there. This place needs a remodel bad.

Nobody available to ask for info/tour. Nobody in Sales office or front desk??? 2/3/18. Smelled like smoke/older buiding/furnishings.

Appearances can be deceiving. Beware of pricing. We found out the identical room next to our father is $400 dollars less than what they were charging us and he had been there a year longer. Sad affair to be ripping off the elderly. The one elevator for 200 apartments has a history of breaking down. Dad seldom liked the food and he’s not a picky eater. They often ran out of the main dish by the time they got to his table. Everyone has to eat at the same time. We decided to move Dad.

not what I was looking for. The location is hot for the type of place. Looks good on the outside, but inside very sterile and staff very commission driven.

My husband loves it here and I hate it. The food is horrible it is not prepared well. The quality is poor there is no taste to it and it is overcooked. We live in the basement apartment and it is extremely small for what we are paying for. There isn't enough closet space the carpets are too thick which makes it hard to walk. The staff is friendly enough but doesn't go out of the way to help you. The housekeeping is horrible they don't dust or vacuum and when they do they don't move any sort of furniture. The only thing that I like is the walk in a tub it's very convenient for me. The location of the property is poor we are near the airport so it's very noisy. They don't deliver food to your room for free there is a charge of $5.00 and they serve it in take out containers and by the time I get it it's cold.

As a resident of over three years (Oct 2013-Dec 2016), if I were to be asked what was my basic objection to living in WFE, I would express the matter this way: the expensive and ever increasing rent I was obligated to pay was inordinately disproportional to the consistently poor quality of services I received in return and discordant with the highly unpleasant living environment I was forced to endure there. As a prime example of the former, let me point to the meals. These are rigidly regimented to coincide with certain hours of the day. The food at lunch and dinner is far too often substandard in quality and lacking in savor. Because of the large throng of people filling the dining room, combined with a chronic shortage (and rapid turn-over) of staff, service is frequently at an excruciatingly slow pace. The second aspect of my grievance is illustrated in the following. Not wishing to make waves or admit openly that some tenants pose a threat to others, management does little if anything to address the problem, and thus winds up in effect protecting those who are a menace to the community. [removed]. Despite my complaints, neither the corporate office nor onsite management communicated to me what its officials proposed to do in response to such grossly offensive behavior. Guaranteeing the safety and well-being of residents apparently does not rank very high in the order of priorities of the Holiday senior communities. I must also mention some of the more prominent affronts that continually assault the senses here--the recurrent pet defecations outside the building, the rank, foul-smelling hallways, in constant need of fumigation, emanating from rank, foul-smelling apartments, urine-tainted and smelly seats in the dining room and in the shuttle bus. The list goes on. The population of Windham Falls is now largely composed of aging, wizened, and enfeebled semi-invalids who require, as the case may be, aides, walkers, or wheelchairs as supports to live. All those not totally incapacitated or in a complete state of dotage may apply for admission. A good part of the younger retirees (like myself) who once resided here have since decamped for more congenial living quarters elsewhere. But if the reader still remains interested in becoming a resident, falls under the above described categories, and is willing to overlook or ignore the facility's many flaws and defects, then this is just the place for you. If not, then you should give it a wide berth and seek your abode in some other setting and locale.

Does not offer respite care which is what I am looking for. I am rating it poor only because it does not offer respite...is Independent Living only and doesn’t meet my needs....am not rating the facility

Nice place. Very clean. But that's where it ends. Management doesn't really seem to care about residence needs. Once a month there are resident meetings. But any concerns fall on deaf ears. Rent increases are substantial . Rents are very expensive. Basically they rope you in with all kinds of promises, but rarely deliver after moving in. Now for the food and how it is prepared and served. Horrible. There are supposed to be alternatives for lactose and gluten but they normally run out of those alternatives. The food is over cooked or under cooked. And this is a common complaint from many residents. Seems like the food choices, the long wait times to be served and the how the food is prepared is a big issue with most residents. Considering meals are built into the rent, which again is very high. It's unfortunate residents pay for their meals and have to endure a sub par dining experience. From first glance The GABLES seems like a very nice place. Very clean, apartments are very nice. The outside grounds are also very nice. And the staff, not including managers and sales, try to be attentive and caring. But it seems sales and managers couldn't care less once you're a resident. If you're looking for a place where your loved one will recieve the care, attention, and nutrition they deserve. Steer clear of the GABLES at Guilford.

Lakeview as a facility was wonderful. However the care services they have in-house, failed miserably. Showed up when they wanted to and didn't show up for days. Missed medication doses on more than one occasion.

We had planned to stay a week for a trial. We cut this short as it fell so far below our expectations

It was horrible! I signed everything a few weeks before she was supposed to move her in. Before she could get there she had an accident. Management is cold, and put me through the wringer. I had to fight, and they needed documentation from the doctor, because they didn't believe me. In the end they were only willing to reimburse me 75%. It was a horrible experience. It was a beautiful place, and I really enjoyed my first encounters with them, the room was beautiful. They don't care about seniors, all they care about is the bottom line.

Sales rep. borderline comatose when talking to us. Community too much like 'nursing home' Smelled funny.

The sales person that I delt with there was extremely rude and unprofessional and I decided not to have anything to do with that property. He was basically not understanding and he lied to me about what would be provided. I caught him in a lie and asked him why he was lying to me and he basically just told me that they didn't need to have anything to do with us. I wouldn't recommend that property to anybody.

Although they were very nice and plush I would give them a very poor rating. They treated me very badly. They were much more interested in the money. I was NOT HAPPY with Golden Mesa.

Very rude. Also over priced. Older dining room, but seemed clean. Did not invite us back for any reason.

I did not feel good about this community, when we got there the person that gave us the tour acted as if she did not know we were coming. There were no brochures or menus ready. They also took us to a single room and we wanted one with a bedroom. We also went to another room and it did not have a kitchen. They also did not have any staff on duty after 6pm. If there was a problem they would have to reach out to an ambulance.
