Mom's first choice

The staff are wonderful. They are very friendly, and if our family or our loved one has a need, they get right on it. They're wonderful with my loved one. She loves the food and tells me there is never a bad meal - she just really enjoys it. The activities she attends she enjoys. Outside there are some spaces for the residents to sit and talk. Since they utilize those spaces so much, it would be nice to see more of those types of outdoor gathering spaces. The facility is little old fashioned, but it's very clean and very homey.

Berkshire Commons is a great facility. What sticks out most to me is the staff, they were all extremely friendly and helpful during my mothers stay here. If I needed this type of care for myself, I would choose to stay here. I would definitely recommend them to other families who are looking.

I would highly recommend the community to others. The head of nursing is outstanding. The rest of the staff is caring. There are some meals my loved one enjoys, there was a time the community provided sandwiches for two nights in a row for dinner.

This community serves us well. It is not cheap but it serves for what we need.

When considering senior living, we visited several facilities in Massachusetts and Southern New Hampshire. Our search ended at Langdon Place, because it was there we felt, “THIS is what we’ve been looking for.” We were searching for a setting that had a range from mostly independent living all the way to hospice care, but also somewhere Dad could come to feel "at home." Langdon Place offers this spectrum, and there Dad is safe, secure and comfortable. At Langdon Place there is a blend of independence and dignity, care and compassion. Dad moved into an independent living apartment, and it is cosy and perfectly suited for his wants and needs. We appreciate that there is 24-hour awake nursing care, and that Langdon Place has the ability to provide for Dad’s needs should they increase in the future. Our family also values the ability for us to visit often, as the location is very convenient, just minutes off Route 3’s Spit Brook Road exit. There is a warm feeling from the people who work and live at Langdon Place. Staff and residents alike have greeted us with genuine smiles and warm personalities. It has been our observation that the staff members at Langdon have a sense of humor and are people-oriented - they listen to stories, ask questions, and patiently explain and re-explain when needed. Our impression is that the staff at Langdon Place understands the concern we had as a family about moving a cherished elderly family member into a new environment. In the investigation phase, we made multiple visits and were given ample opportunity to ask all of our questions and get a feel for the facility, its amenities and its culture. While we got answers to all of our questions, at no time did we receive heavy sales pressure. There has been ongoing support to get both Dad and our family acclimated, and we are all very happy with our decision to join the community of Langdon Place.

The nursing staff is wonderful. It is never too much trouble to go over my mom's current medical stats and make accommodations as needed.

My mom moved to Langdon Place one and a half years ago. The process to get her moved and settled was great. Her room and common areas are clean and modern and she has developed relationships with residents and the staff members. Having her there has given her four children comfort that she is being cared for. she is now settled in and considers Langdon Place her home. Thank You

My Mom has been living at Langdon for a year and a half since my Dad passed. She loves it there. Everyone is so helpful and nice. The staff here are always helpful and willing to help out whenever needed. This was a great choice and my sisters and I are so grateful that we found this place for our Mom.

I thank god for Berkshire Center. Maybe those who leave reviews should have been involved on an every day basis. The staff was amazing and involved. The crnp is stellar. They were like an extended family. Every once in a while there was a blip but was remedied. Were present unbelievably at her end of life. So thankful for the Berkshire center staff. Not sure about the genesis healthcare corporation.

Both my parents were facing a medical crisis at the same time. The staff at Langdon didn't hesitate to jump in and work directly with my sister and I to come up with a workable solution. We and my parents are forever grateful.

Langdon Place of Nashua is a wonderful community for my mother. She has been there almost 2 yrs. I find the staff friendly, sincere and caring. They want the best for all in their community. The activities that they provide are diverse, so there is something for everyone! The care is beyond anything I would have found elsewhere. My mother is much happier and healthier then she was living on her own. I thank the staff at Langdon Place of Nashua for the care that they give her and will continue to give her in the future. I am very pleased with the care my brother is receiving at Mifflin Court. After a short adjustment period, he now refers to Mifflin Court as his home.

Langdon Place in Nashua was my mom's home for the past year. She had a life changing event and could not longer live alone. My family selected Langdon Place because of the highest recommendations we received and after having met the team and looking at Langdon we knew we had made the best decision. The Langdon team is exceptional...friendly, caring, intelligent, resourceful, provided excellent, consistent, quality and compassionate care at all times. The team there became an extension of our family. My mom passed away a month ago and her end of life care was beyond measure. It was like she was their mom too. They cried when we cried and loved her like we did. Our family would recommend Landon Place without any reservation 110%.

This Senior Residence is a best kept secret in Delaware County. Nestled at the edge of Chester City and Wallingford, tree lined property. The country feel as you approach the main entrance, with seating, rocking chairs, and beautiful green shrubbery hiding you from view and noise of the traffic was a plus. The public areas all nicely decorated. The receptionist always helpful and pleasant offering refreshments while waiting for staff or the elevator. The dining room atmosphere was equal to private fine dining. I stayed for lunch and was amazed at there being so many menu items to choose from. What struck me most, is that the Residence at Chestnut Ridge did not have an "old smell". It was a lovely experience and after 2 unannounced visits and 1 official tour I completed the application process. [Removed] was a joy to work with. She introduced me to everyone that handles anything. They were all warm and inviting. If you are looking for a safe and sanitary, warm and caring community. Chestnut Ridge is the place!.

My mother-in-law moved into Chestnut Ridge from another residential facility. She lived in Bucks County with her husband (because it was close to his family) until his death in October. My husband's family then moved their mom to be closer to her family, and we couldn't be happier. Although she has advanced Alzheimer's disease, she appears more alert, less anxious, and more communicative than she has been for a long time. The staff is friendly and helpful to residents and visitors; the rooms are spacious and clean. We are pleased with the care our loved one is receiving.

The people at Langdon Place of Exeter have been extremely helpful & friendly. My Mom has only been at Langdon Place (LP) for a month, but so far she is very happy with her new living arrangement. My siblings & I were very concerned that she would not be happy leaving her home of 60+ years, but a diagnosis of Alzheimer's & living alone made it necessary. We were very impressed with the Memory Care Unit for when the time comes, but currently Mom is enjoying Assisted Living in the Langdon Place community. It really helped that Mom could bring quite a bit of her furniture from home. Everyone at LP was helpful during the move & really made an effort to make her new apartment cozy & inviting, include her in activities & introduce her to her new neighbors. It's so good to see Mom socializing again! The common areas of LP are beautiful. We are looking forward to participating in the many activities that they offer & seeing the grounds without snow! It's such a relief knowing that help is readily available & caring people check on her regularly. We have received excellent customer service at LP.

It is located in and very pretty country setting. It is nice and quiet. The inside of the community is very charming, it is decorated very nicely. It provides a very home like feeling. The staff is friendly, helpful and accommodating. We are pleased with them and would recommend them to anyone.
