Dial Retirement Communities

It was a nice tour at Woodlands Creek. It is a large and beautiful community. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. The inside was very clean and they offered activities for the residents. It seemed like some of the rooms looked a little run down and needed to be updated. We ended up choosing a different community because of the close location to our home.

I worked with my sister-in-law to help her find a retirement apartment that would give her enough space for most of her things and we settled on Silvercrest Garner. We have been impressed on the overall helpfulness and friendliness of this facility. Definitely made the correct decision for her. [removed], sister-in-law of [removed].

Caring, knowledgeable staff. Really good activities and programs for residents. Cozy atmosphere throughout and good size apartments. Nice outdoor patio.

The people at The Montclair were very kind and helpful. They seemed to have a very active community and the residents seemed happy to be there. The only reason we did not choose this place was because they did not have continuing care.

This community was our second choice. The staff we met were nice and the community was clean. They offered a variety of activities. This community just seemed a little more controlled than what we were looking for.

I liked them and it would have been a choice. I got a good vibe from the staff there. They had things going on for the residents. They were very, very nice. I didn't like the stairs by the second floor but it was a lovely place. I waited a little bit and the person who gave the tour was knowledgeable and very nice through out the tour.

My mother loves her new apartment. It took a bit of an adjustment for her but the staff was wonderful.,I especially have to thank [removed] for all of his hard work and is truly caring. He is an absolute asset to your community.

The staff that offered the tour of The Montclair were wonderful. They were very friendly and knowledgeable. They were able to address all of our questions and concerns. The community was very well laid out and nicely maintained.

My in laws are doing well at this community. They moved into a brand new building for independent living. They were even able to choose their floorplan. I tried the food it is good and they are well proportioned meals. They offer lectures, a workout room, movie theater and when the residents requested it they put in an ice cream shop. They offer cooking demonstrations and listen to the residents to see what they can do for them.

Nice place, clean, and a lot of activities

In the process of moving my Aunt and Uncle into assisted living my Uncle passed away. It's been difficult but the staff has tried their best to make this a smooth and easy transition. They are very attentive to her needs and Kevin (head of nursing) is just amazing! Initially we were under the impression that they had a 1 bedroom available but when touring learned that wasn't the case. They ended up with a 2 bedroom for the price of a 1 bedroom which was an added bonus! I would absolutely recommend!

I think Arsarben Village is a wonderful place for Mom! The staff are so friendly and caring. Since it's a new place, there aren't a lot of activities yet but I'm sure that will change shortly. Mom's apartment is spacious and beautiful. I don't have to worry about her being happy and taken care of. It's only been a short time since she moved there, but she seems genuinely happy.

I think they are terrific. They are wonderful. The girls that work for them are just outrageous. They work really well with hospice. Brittany, on the nursing staff at Silvercrest, has been wonderful, and goes out of her way to show mom affection. The office people are so nice, and they take the time. It was open and airy, and people were out and smiling.

Things are going really good. She is kind settling in there and everything seems to be okay. It was a little rough at first, but I think "knock on wood" things are going to be fine now.

Everyone is friendly here. The staff is great and even the residents are helpful. The facility is very clean at all times. There are plenty of activities, the food is decent and the facility seem to be well organized.

The overall management induces core values that are displayed by all the key personnel. The facility is run with the residents interests put on the front line of care. The small knit environment provides constant coverage for the needs of all.

We have been very happy with Silvercrest. The staff have been so helpful and caring. Our parents moved here from Detroit, Michigan, where they had lived for 50 years. The transition has been so smooth. We feel very good about the care they are receiving. It has been a huge comfort to us. Many of their doctors come to Silvercrest for treatment, which has made it so easy on us. I cannot say enough good about this place!

I think they are doing very well. My parents are happy, so I am happy. The food is very good, and they seem to be able to ask for less if they want, or choose something different if they don't like the feature of the day, so there are options. My mom is really happy with the beauty parlor, she is happy with the woman who does her hair. The nursing staff and CNA's are very good, and they are responsive. I like that it's a smaller scale place, it's more intimate, and doesn't look like an assisted living place at all, more like a boutique hotel.

Overall things are going well here. it is a nice clean place, and they treat everyone well.

We call Lake Barrington Woods, LBW, affectionately. LBW is a wonderful place with a couple of exceptions. 1) There is high turnover among the upper level managers. They have a new Executive Director and hopefully she will have some affect. 2) They do what it takes to make the residents happy. But... that may not always be in the resident's best interests. For instance, a resident may ask for more and more pain pills than they should have. They will give them the pills without looking at the big picture just to keep the resident happy. To me this is a big issue. I find I have to keep a close eye on my relative so that I know what is going on with his health. But...the rooms are laid out well. The food is very good. They have a lot of activities. The staff is kind and always has time to stop and say hello. If you need something all you have to do is ask anyone and they will help you. I like the emergency pendant that each resident wears around their neck. I like the swimming pool and the work out room. They have more activities than any one person can attend and they do encourage you to attend some of them. They have a VFW post in the building and they have a Men's club. Bottom line is if you want something ask. Don't assume they don't have it or you can't have it. A lot of times they will go out of their way to accommodate you.
