The staff is very nice and communicative. The activities are limited, but with the population they have, I understand why. The food is bad, but I think that is par of the course of any assisted living place.

Nice place. Some apartments in the first floor look out at a tall retaining wall, so don't enjoy a pleasant view. Pretty courtyard and grounds otherwise. Not many activities offered.

The management here leaves a lot to be desired.

Getting back from rehab took forever and they always sent you out! It didn't feel like they cared! A couple of the caregivers were amazing!

The facility is beautiful and memory Care is larger than most. It is built next to Salt Creek Wetlands so scenery out to South is beautiful and stimulating.. The staff is together for the first time so they are adjusting to each other and the residents. They are happy to answer or find answer to questions.

They provided personalized attention to his needs. They truly treated him as if he was gonna live there full-time forever. We were a very involved family! But it never felt like we were doing too much or being unreasonable. They were really engaging with him with conversation and we're very pleasant in all their interactions. There wasn't anybody that my dad did not like.

Had a wonderful experience while exploring Deer Park Senior Living. [name removed] (sales) was genuine, not pushy and very patient with our questions about the Assisted Living community. He even organized for my MIL to have lunch with a resident there so she could get a better sense of the community and activities. Plans unfortunately changed when the assessment came back recommending Memory Care. We then had a harder time getting a sense of the Memory Care community, capabilities and lifestyle, mainly due to time pressure on our part and not knowing what questions to ask. The Lifestyle directors made themselves available for questions. Move-in was more difficult as information was provided piecemeal with some last minute surprises (e.g. no phones allowed in Memory Care). Deer Park is a very clean and newer facility. Even when faced with the expected accident, they work hard to address in a timely fashion. Awesome staff all around, very friendly. Patient with questions. Deer Park Memory Care is a small community of about 30 residents. As of Jan 2025, Deer Park Memory Care was short on staffing and caretakers but actively recruiting. Leads to longer wait times for the residents around meals and overall support. But care provided is good, staff is kind to the residents. My MIL is higher functioning, and it's lovely to see the engagement between the staff and my MIL, including some joking banter back and forth. They have lifestyle-focused staff who lead activities and exercises with the residents, separate from the nursing and care staff. Good food overall, with reduced options in Memory Care. There seem to be many activities offered during the week, with reduced options on the Weekend. My MIL has given some feedback that some of the activities or movies offered in Memory Care seem repetitive, and has asked for more access to other activities offered to the Assisted Living / Independent Living residents. Based on capabilities, some Memory Care residents have been invited to join the larger community for specific activities. Memory Care is expensive in general, but we appreciate the smaller community feel for my MIL as she is easily overwhelmed in larger settings.

They were hard to contact. They said they would leave my sister or I voicemails and we never received them. Felt that we weren't respected mostly because of our ages. The move out process was stressful and they were incredibly unhelpful and put up barriers for us that weren't needed. Neither me or my sister live in Illinois and we were either not taken seriously or given honest information. Not sure if they just had no history with dealing with next of kin out of state or if they were just bad at it.

Our overall experience has been positive. DPV is very clean and always has a pleasant scent. They could freshen up some of the walls with paint. There are never things out of place and they keep up with decorations for holidays making it enjoyable for everyone. Recently they've done a better job with keeping my family member's apartment clean. The staff are friendly overall. The quality of care is good. The care team remembers my family member by first name and knows the schedule they typically keep as well as residents they regularly speak with and get together with. Medications are on time. I know the most important needs are being met. My family member likes the options of meals and the two dining options are nice. The food is good. There are an abundance of activities. Due to the large number of residents, there are always people to converse with.Only in comparing with other residences we saw, DPV gives great care and service for the months rent/add-on care. My review is strictly based on assisted living.

Deer Park Village is really beautiful. Everyone is so kind; residents and staff alike. The reason for 4 stars is one set of elevators was out for too long, they can be short staffed, and I would like more communication from the back office re billing. Easy resolutions for each of those and it is not constant. Overall, it has been quite an adjustment to downsize, but the cleanliness and amenities are amazing. I don’t think there is a better or nicer place in the area. It is great!

What I like the most about Lake Barrington is my spacious apartment, the exercise classes and the excellent food. I would recommend this community to other families based on the experience I have had.

the Landings Senior Living has beautiful surroundings and the facility is new. It is an awesome place for the price. I would highly recommend this facility to others and already have.

The front desk people are always very friendly and helpful every time I have a question. My mom is loving the meals and the outings as well. My mom has a one bedroom apartment and I think it is very spacious and perfect for what she needs.

The apartments are roomy, well-lit and are very comfortable and maintained. Same for the common areas. The majority of staff are pleasant and caring toward the residents. I encourage staff training addressing taking personal responsibility for follow-through to both residents and visitors. Some examples include (but not necessarily limited to) returning phone calls; checking on and reporting residents' welfare as requested and following up on issues that span across consecutive shifts. It is also very important to have specific maintenance and repair contracts to assure reliable elevator functioning.

Meals are of good quality, however they are very heavy and limited in dietary options. The serving staff are always very kind and inviting. With so many folks on prescribed diets, it's surprising how limited the menu is.

What we like the most about The Pearl is the staff. They are very engaged, caring, organizing variety of programs every week. Residents; diverse and engaged, volunteering, caring, welcoming, and downright fun to be around. We like it here, feel at home. Great location, near CU, downtown Boulder, and Boulder Creek.

Transportation services, housekeeping, 2 meals a day, maintenance, exercise class, ambassador/concierge onsite security available 24 hours with emergency response system. Friendly staff and residents.

We all like it, and I could recommend this place to most anyone.

Make sure you read the contract closely and ask all the questions that might come to your mind. Always make sure you stay on top of everything and document it.

The staff cares about the residents and go out of their way to look out for them as needed. Variety of activities.
