Motel 6 of Assisted Living

If your only choice is living out door or Colonial Oaks; then stay here. It's a low cost facility, and it's run like this. There is not adequate trained staff for number of residents. My in-laws had wait times of over an hour at times, after activating their emergency pendants. Food was adequate, but no fresh fruit. The management approach to tennants is, everyone gets same support, very little personalization, due to inadequate staffing. My beef is with the management, not staff, they did best they could with limited resources. The facility itself is nice and the apartments are spacious compared to similar assited living properties. As long as same management inplace, support will continue to be minimal.

Terrible experience

My husband was only here for 2 days. They did not know he had passed away, my children had to find him. They charged us [price removed] for only 2 days because they charged him for the next month. We were not able to get any type of refund or lower cost because they said it had to be shared with A Place for Mom. It was a terrible experience.

Better care

This is a not a community that I would recommend. The community was not giving us the care that we needed. We found that they did not take care of his personal needs. The community was not clean. This community is not giving the residents the care that they deserve. We could not recommend this commentary for the care to anyone.

The staff puts on a show in the beginning but they are some of the most foul I have ever had to endure. My mother complained about how she was treated when we were not around and I just happened to walk upon a staff member being very rough while providing care to another resident. The staff just sits there on the couch on the phone unconcerned while the residents fall. The med team are not knowledgeable at all and Clarissa [removed] about any issue you speak with her about. The language and behavior when they think you're not looking is ridiculous. Very disrespectful med staff. I moved my mother out.
