Avalon Memory Care

I would give it a 5 overall! My mom complains about the food sometimes. But the staff is awesome!!!! I'm so grateful for their dedication! Based on the experience we have had so far, we would absolutely recommend the Avalon Memory Care - Tuckerton community to other families looking for a place for their loved ones!

Based on the experience we have had so far with Avalon Memory Care we can say they were exceptional. Especially the friendliness of the staff. [name removed] is amazing. They got to know my mother quickly and were so accommodating and kind when she passed. We would absolutely recommend this community to other families who are looking for a place for their loved ones.

My dear [name removed], the love of my life, was taken well care of at Royal Circle by [name removed] and her crew. They exhibited tenderness, empathy, kindness, and I know he was lucky to have them. My heartfelt thanks to everyone at Avalon on Royal Circle for taking such good care of [name removed].

Just to research and observe all communities that you have interest in for the right fit. Ask a lot of questions and talk to other families that have residents who are already there....

Avalon Memory Care- Timber Forest is an extraordinarily excellent facility with very high staff to patient ratio. It is the most home like. The staff is extraordinary and one of the big assets for the facility. They did an outstanding job. They also assisted with Physical therapy and coaching and encouragement at all times. Although their main function seems to be memory care, they also did an excellent job with Rehab.

They were very accommodating as my love one needed more assistance and no per service added charges. All inclusive. I would recommend, that a friend check it out to see if it would work for their needs. It was great for my mom. She liked the homey Decore. Avalon is organized so care is given in a setting that is comfortable and easy to navigate. Minimizing falls and other hazards in memory care.

I toured with Avalon Memory Care Hughes Circle and loved this facility! The tour was very easy to set up and they worked with us quickly. The main reason we did not go with them was because of the location. I loved that once we chose another place, all communication from Avalon stopped.

Make sure they have sufficient staff and when you visit, make sure to talk with the staff and see that the patients look comfortable in the main room.

When we look at Avalon Garland, my loved one was still in early stage dementia. She would have been too functioning to go there. A lot of the residents were in an infantile state, but they did look comfortable and cared for. We looked to place her at Avalon Garland when she progressed and were kicked out of memory care at [facility name removed]. [name removed] thought it would be better to put her in the small home setting.

My mother-in-law was there during COVID and we weren't allowed to visit, so it is hard to give much feedback on some of these. My mother-in-law had advanced vascular dementia when we placed her at Avalon, so we didn't really get to go into the facility other than to move her in and when she passed. At the time, [name removed] was who we coordinated with. He was a great resource in helping us understand vascular dementia and what to expect. He also helped us to choose which Avalon facility would be the best fit for my mother-in-law with the types of behavior she was having. This facility is best for advanced dementia not when they are high functioning and just need a little help. It is a small home like setting.

My loved one and family had a great experience with Avalon Memory Care. The community is clean. The staff are kind, helpful, and caring. Everyone is friendly from the front desk to the dining room staff to the residents. Most of the staff have been in the community with little turnover, even during COVID. Overall, this is a community we would recommend to others for their loved ones.

We picked this community because, it was a smaller facility with a capacity of 25. This meant more individual attention. Proximity to my mother's home, and we really liked the owners. I would definitely recommend to others.

Our family and loved one had a wonderful experience at the community. The community is clean, and everyone is very friendly. The staff understand very well what is necessary for the well-being of the residents in their care. They also take good care of the residents in the community. We would recommend the community to others for their loved ones.

Avalon was a blessing to my father for the last 4 months of his life. They truly care about the residents who are more like family. They connected with my dad even in his advanced dementia. I thank God for Avalon.

Avalon was wonderful. I would award them a 5 on all counts except activities. The residents at my husband's facility were incapable of activities. My husband died during Covid. The staff was wonderful, and I am thankful for Avalon.

The staff truly loves each of the individual residents here at this facility. The housekeeping keeps the floors and other areas, including the bedrooms, spotless. I have never tasted any of the meals, but my mother said they were very good. I would highly recommend this facility to anyone looking for a place for their mother or father that has Dementia.

I am extremely happy to have moved her to Avalon. When I visit the residents are well cared for and for the most engaged. I would recommend to others.

They could use, a little improvement on the range of activities. Otherwise, everything is excellent. We picked this community, because of the price, location, and overall good impression.

The staff at Avalon are true blessings. We drop in at random times throughout the work to see our father and he is always up, showered, dressed and around the other residents watching TV. Their center is clean and well-cared for. This is an amazing place!!

If I were you, I'd go ahead and move your love done if they're not doing very well at home. My loved one is doing 100 percent better at Avalon Memory Care. They got her up to where she can stand on her own now. And she's a lot more alert. She's eating now, and before she wasn't hardly eating anything. She's' doing so much better.
