We hired Canaan Home Care to provide respite care when my Dad was on hospice at home and my mother was caring for him. When it became too much for my mother to manage his care, we increased to 24/7 caregiving through Canaan. [name removed], the coordinator was very prompt in getting care aligned, and worked with us to figure out the best personality match for my parents. The two caregivers we worked with were very professional and caring with my Dad. It was a great comfort to us to have them here, especially when he passed. We highly recommend Canaan for your caregiving needs for your loved ones.

Bright star came into our lives offering the much needed support for our family. My husband recently had multiple strokes and [name removed] entered our home bringing a ray of hope taking good care of my husband and engaging him with good conversation. My husband is quite fond of him because he is mannerly and always willing to go the extra mile.

My mother’s dementia had progressed to the point where she could no longer be alone in our home, so I decided to interview caregivers. I liked the idea of having someone older who my mom might consider a friend. During our initial meeting, [name removed] spoke with both my mom and I in order to assess the exact type of services we needed and to make a good caregiver match. She told me she had the perfect person in mind. The next week mom met her new best friend and I was able to go to work without worrying about her well-being. Our first caregiver had to move out of state and we were so sad, but she was replaced by someone just as wonderful! This agency is highly recommended. Staff are nice and professional. Answered all questions and made us comfortable to work with them. From the beginning of our process they helped us in any way they could and lead us every step of the way.

We only use them 10 hrs a week but they have been fantastic. They show up on time and send updates after each visit. As my mother progresses we will continue to expand their duties. My mother likes them very much.

They came out, did an assesment, developed a care plan, and helped us prepare a claim for our the Long Term Care Insurance policy, Our Caregiver [name removed] started 3 days after that, She has never missed a day, always on time and is experienced in all aspects of care for us. We were bringing our mother home from a Rehablitiation center, They were the only agency in town that returned our calls promptly and had available caregivers on such short notice. We were a little nervous at the start, because we had never used homecare services before and had heard of many different experiences that friends had with some of the different agencies. We were amazed with the experience and knowledge of Cedars Homecares' caregivers. Their caregives show up on time and went above and beyond with assitance for Mom and she has recovered quickly due to their help.
