Aegis

We toured Aegis Living of Las Vegas and it was great! The staff was fabulous and the facility was well maintained. However, the parking was limited and the community fee was substantially higher.

My daughter and I were quite pleased our whole experience at Aegis of Greenwood and would recommend it to other families. The facility is lovely and there is an outside area in good weather. The staff are caring and friendly and easy to talk with about the patient. They listen to any concerns I have. I have access to all the management team members and that is comforting. Also, it is easy to have a meal with my husband and the staff helped me when I planned a birthday surprise for my husband.

My father lived at three places prior to living at this facility. This one was the best. They have a lot of activities. The food is excellent. It's very comfortable and homey. It's not too big or too small. The staff is very attentive (including maintenance staff.) Management is always accessible. They provide housekeeping (could make beds better!). Personal Laundry service is available at an additional cost. My father eventually entered hospice there. They took care of him as their own until he passed. I would recommend this facility to family and friends.

I can confidently rate Aegis of Kirkland a 5 out of 5. My brother and I found Aegis to be very clean in all the common areas as well as private areas. The food is excellent, and the staff is compassionate. They have several activities going on throughout the day. There is something that should appeal to anyone tastes. [name removed], the marketing manager, was so helpful during the transition process.

I toured Aegis at Ravenna and it was a great tour. The cleanliness and friendliness were both great, also. However, the facility cost is pretty pricey.

I toured this facility and it was amazing but over the top. It's more expensive than several others in the area and maybe too big and overwhelming. I had a 2 hour personal compassionate sit down with the director, including a tour and recommended reading list. Superb!

The staff at Aegis Lodge are friendly and responsive. My mom's room in memory care is always tidy, and she feels safe and well cared for. They provide fun, calm activities that are appropriate for memory care residents, including hitting the balloon, Bingo, singing together, and watching movies. My only concern is that it sometimes feels as if they are short staffed.

We love Aegis Madison. My mother in law is getting excellent care there. The staff is very responsive and the food is great!

They have been wonderful with my friend, I am very please with the attentiveness they give my friend. The value of cost is good for what you get within the community.

We had a great tour experience with Aegis of Pleasant Hill. The lady who showed us around was very nice and helpful. This facility was definitely our "runner up". They were one of the only ones in this area who would actually accept my loved one with the level of care that was needed. But unfortunately it was just way too expensive.

I would highly recommend this facility! The staff is extremely helpful. Their food is really good. I've eaten there several times and it's always been good. We've even had extended family eat there and comment on how good the food is. The facility is wonderful, they keep it really nice. It's always very pleasant and even smells good. When you go in there, you know it's a special place. The nursing staff is really on top of everything and quick to move to move in emergencies. They have brought concerns to our attention and immediately taken care of them. They are extremely helpful. As are the Doctors. We're very pleased!

My dad just turned 99. He lives at Aegis Living of Kent. He moved in there in [date removed]. Amazing timing. My family chose Aegis because the vibe we got there felt personal. I believed the director and marketing person when they said they wanted my dad to feel at home and that they would try every day to care for him as we would if we could in his advancing decline into dementia. They adapted to the stressful demands of the pandemic and were able to keep the residents safe and the families informed. I have been consistently pleased with the care my dad has received even as his needs have increased. but just ten days ago I was grateful anew with the staff at my dad's home. My siblings and spouses were set to gather for my dad's milestone birthday and I had made arrangements with the staff for a party outdoors at Aegis. They took it from there and had balloons and a banner and so much love to celebrate my dad. We are grateful every day for the love they give to my dad. Thank you.

My mother has had the most loving and amazing care at the Kent facility. The caregivers have sent us video’s of my in their care, pictures and continually gives us updates. Their activities are numerous, fun and very creative. The employees from the director, chef, caregivers are truly angels. Our mother had been in another facility before Aegis and there is truly no comparison. I have peace of mind knowing my mother is so very well taken care of. Thank you Aegis

We moved my [age removed] aged mom from FL to CA after a minor stroke. She started in independent living at a larger facility and was really lost. It was too far to walk to the dining room and space in activities were often filled. We tried memory care but sadly mostly patients were sitting around looking at a TV screen too often blank. A Place for Mom suggested checking out Aegis Laguna Niguel and moving there was very smooth. It’s a small friendly environment. Beautiful gardens are easily accessible to everyone. Residents’ rooms are bright and sunny. Staff are excellent and many care givers have worked there 15+ years. Again we started in AL but soon moved to memory care which has 2 wings with 15 residents in each wing. This set up is excellent - residents aren’t overwhelmed. There are activities through the day, but encouraging mom to participate can be challenging. Staff encourage family visits any time of the day. I highly recommend this small but family and patient oriented care center.

They have the whole network in the area so it is a large system but small residences. They have about 100 residents here and it seems like a very reasonable size. The staff have been really good, they have a good solid core and then they bring in students to help assist and they seem to be hiring all the time. They have tried to design the residences like the grand hotels in Europe. All of the ones I have been to have nice common areas and the activities are nice. Because they have the memory care unit on site they seem to have more nursing staff available.

I would highly recommend this community for your loved one. It is really well run and an excellent community. The staff are wonderful and my mom is happy here. All of the residents seem to be happy and well cared for, I would highly recommend. They have activities like musical entertainment three times a week and my loved one really likes this. They also have movies daily in the theater and every day has a theme, and the community is always decorated for whatever holiday is coming up. They also have bingo, painting crafts, outings and more for the residents to stay busy and active in the community.

My loved one kept escaping so we had to hire someone to watch him to make sure that this did not keep happening. However, whenever we spoke with other communities we would have had to hire someone anyway. The whole experience was good my loved one was just not happy and we had to take him out. I think that this community helped my loved one calm down and it was overall good for him.

Very high scale. It reminds me of a cruise ship. It is a beautiful property and glitz and glam. It was way out of price range. They have like a literal movie theater. With a $30,000 community fee..

We like the location very much, it is very convenient for our family. We like the decor and that it appeals to our loved one - it is like Native American/north - westy vibe which makes her feel very comfortable. The community is not to big to where it is overwhelming, there are a lot of small cozy spaces to gather in.
