Outstanding Care

My Mom’s situation was fairly unique. She had been dealing with failing health for a couple of years, but always bounced back after medical treatment. We were all unsure that she would recover from her downward turn. Because of that uncertainty, placing her in Assisted Living was quite a challenge. Aegis was absolutely fantastic. I cannot sing their praises enough. Truly an extraordinary group of people! Between hospice and Aegis, Mom’s every need was met. A nursing care plan was put in to place immediately upon arrival. She was hoping to get her hair done, and an appointment was made prior to her arrival! The team had a communication plan in place also, questions were promptly answered. Changes that needed to be made happened swiftly and seamlessly. They are an absolutely amazing team of caregivers and professionals! I am so grateful to have found them!

overall a nice community!

My friend was only there 5 weeks until passing. She had excellent care. Everyone who works there was so helpful. I never felt like I was bothering anyone. If there was an issue like falling out of bed they would call me and explain what happened and how she was. Answered all of my questions when I visited or called. Felt welcome anytime I arrived to see her. Others who lived there always looked happy or content when you would see them in the common areas. Also, very clean and smelled nice.

Review for Aegis Living of Las Vegas

What I would add is that it takes some time for the adjustments of a new home. I highly recommend Aegis living. My mom made many wonderful friends, especially with the staff. They all came to love her and they shared that with my sister and I. It was a very tough transition for her because she was so used to being independent, but after her stroke, she needed much more help and they provided it. It wasn't easy for us, as her children, to make the decision to place her in memory care, but she needed it and we could not give her the care that she needed or deserved. It was always hard to leave her after a visit even if we visit two times a week each but the comfort of knowing she had the care she needed was invaluable.

Highly recommend

The staff and facility at Aegis Shadow Ridge is the best I've seen: their activities, the transitions program, the family nights, the app where I can see what my mother is doing is outstanding, and the bi-weekly email communication showing her activities and participation. This is well worth every penny that we are spending. I highly recommend this location and this company.

Friendly, attentive staff

When it comes to the activities, they neeed excursions from the facility like to plays, museums, etc. The food was pretty good as well, considering they have to cater to a wide variety of tastes. It is one of the smaller Aegises and they really get to know the residents well, even the ones who are only there for respite, which was really great. My mom isn't ready to permanently move to assisted living, but she really liked that aspect of it there. Everyone was very kind and welcoming. I appreciated that they keep close eye on the comings and goings of residents and called me when my Mom declared she was going to go on a walk on her own and they felt that was unsafe. We liked the way they do their menu - with an available every day side and a daily specials side. My Mom enjoyed all of the classes/activities - especially the daily exercise class, nightly movies, flower arranging, and the special theme dats/celebrations (she was there for St. Paddy's Day and Hawaiian Luau).

Aegis of Kent

1. Great experience. 2. Very clean (window, walls, floor, carpet). 3. Everyone was friendly (employees and guest). The employees enjoy their job. You can see it in their faces and how they interact with you and the guest. 4. Quality of care is excellent. 5. Administrative staff - excellent! 6. Don't know, didn't eat it, but they bake fresh bread almost everyday and makes the place smell wonderful. 7. They had a full schedule of activities. 8. Price - expensive, but I think they all are. Was happy to have a place that would take our Father and that they take care of him.

A wonderful community

Like most is friendliness and approachability of staff, excellent activities, great assessment by clinical staff. Front desk staff do such a great job of welcoming everyone and keeping track of many details. [name removed] and [name removed] made getting to know the community seamless. Only improvement would be promptness of meal time service - on multiple visits food has taken up to an hour, no refills on water, coffee.

Review for Aegis of Shoreline

If your loved one is timid, it is best to have an advocate available. It took some time for Mom to figure out the rules/expectations and she was hesitant to speak up. The facility was great in trying to help once things were out in the open, but until then mom was really unhappy.

Happy with our choice.

It's really well run and safe. The food is nutritious. Residents are kept busy with activities like arts and crafts, bingo, bus trips and lots of live music performances. It is also all on one level. Not having elevators is a relief for residents and family. My mom has made new friends and is noticeably happier.

The open feeling of the one-story buildings and the woodsy setting makes you feel less confined than in multiple-story facilities. Feels more home-like. The staff contribute to that feeling of being in a home, not a business-- very caring.

Very clean and pleasant

I(we) are very happy there. They are great and I would give them a 5 in all of those categories. Well, when I go there, the place is always clean and there seems to be always an activity ongoing. It's a very pleasant place to walk into. The people always smile at me and say hi to me as I walk by. My aunt is always dressed in clean clothes. And her attitude seems to be up for the most part. She says she likes where she's staying. And her room is indeed very nice. It's always kept clean, and so is she. I've had the food there and it is indeed very good. We always enjoy going outside and sitting on the benches. In the sun outside. And the places big enough to enjoy walking through it For my aunt's exercise.

Wonderful place for memory care

They have a wonderful program called transitions where if your family member needs memory care, but has the capacity to do some activities it allows them to participate in the activities with people that are in the assisted living area. I think it's a super valuable program. Since my dad was in the memory care area, he had a smaller room. And it was perfectly sufficient for everything he had or needed to have in the room. We had hoped he was going to be in assisted-living, but he was not qualified for that so we only got to see the memory care room and it was good. But he had come from a very large home, so I'm sure for him. It was quite an adjustment, but it had plenty of room for everything he needed at that point in his life.
