Aegis

We are very pleased with our mother staying at Aegis. The facility is like a small hotel with a spacious single occupancy room. There are comfortable spaces for visitation. The staff are kind and helpful. Our mother's caregivers are patient with her incomitance. The meals are tasty to mildly bland. Despite the high price, we are glad we chose Aegis.

Excellent customer service especially communication. The staff is exceptionally nice and accommodating. I would recommend to others.

The staff turn over is low (many key staff have been there since we started last summer), the food is amazing, always clean, as mom's dementia has progressed. We see them meeting her needs at each step.

I've been happy with friendliness and concern the staff and caregivers have shown. The food is also very good, which is important. Their room is spacious and clean. If I raise an issue it has been taken care of promptly.

I'm so happy with Aegis Corte Madera, as the family member responsible for the resident. They are responsive to her for all of her needs, medical and non medical. The meals are great, made to order. They will bring meals to her room when she is not up to leaving her room. They have a ton of daytime activities. Not a lot of night time activities other than a movie, which is a complaint my aunt has. She wants more evening social activities, and they are listening to her and helping to form evening social groups. If I have a question for the medical staff, they are very responsive. they were very, very helpful through the move-in process, which is complicated. They were helpful with logistics, and to help her acclimate to a new routine.

The staff has gone above and beyond in any questions or concerns I have brought to them - they address them immediately.

They have friendly and attentive staff. There are lots of activities and engagement. I would recommend them to others, the only concern is cost - it is expensive. I did enjoy being there as well, visiting my mom. They are very open to visitors and make it a wonderful experience for everyone.

The staff have been extremely helpful. The smaller size is good for folks who need some extra assistance.

The only negative might be the size but for my brother this was a plus. The location is perfect for my brother, right on the walking path he has walked for 25 years. The feeling of a home and family is what stood out. My brother spoke about it just feeling like a home after our visit. Also, the sense of dignity they offer their residents. They have a bus stop they can use for waiting if residents think they need to go to work.

I would give Aegis a 10 if I could! They have been spectacular. Communication has been A-Plus. From being able to do a Zoom meeting with Mom before she moved, to meeting her and being ready for her when she arrived this past Saturday. I am still in Dallas but my husband has already moved to Seattle, so he has seen the facility and has helped her get settled in. He says it is absolutely beautiful, perfectly clean, and THE nicest facility he has ever seen. The views out over Lake Union are lovely, and the Koi pond is so pretty and relaxing. The food is delicious too! He has had a meal there with Mom and was impressed with their chef. Her room is nice. I don't know the size of it but he says it is comfortable and clean. I'll see it this weekend when we visit.

Smaller facility and everyone knows everyone. I don't feel like my parents get "lost" in the shuffle of the day.

High level of caregivers. Also, not much turnover in the staff which I took as a very big plus. It's expensive. Plus there is a one time non-refundable fee of $[fee removed]K for a very high tech monitoring system throughout the facility that assures a very quick response if a resident falls or something abnormal happens while they are in their room. This operates 24/7.

5 for all. One resident told me they weren't crazy about the food, but my husband likes it. And the menus look good. Everyone is very friendly. My husband was talking about one of his favorite movies and they arranged to show it the next day in the theater. Not crazy about the cost. Entrance fee is high.

Staff is welcoming, friendly, and engaging. The facility is very clean, and freshly popped popcorn made the facility smell wonderful. There are a variety of activities that keep an active and busy lifestyle within the community. We were there so briefly. There were several great things we experienced in the short time my mom lived at Aegis.

September 2024, I was desperate to find a place for my wife of 19 years suffering from dementia. As a caregiver without any time to myself, a call came offering to help me! After three tries, I settled on Aegis Living at Marimore Redmond. I spent daily visits staying hours with her and realized after 3 months, she was isolated from others, a change was needed. A better environment provided to be an A.F.H. in January. Aegis has a beautiful facility, but it was not a good fit for [name removed]. But I'm grateful for your service and support!

Other families, should know how, kind, caring and proactive the staff is and that they always keep you informed. I would recommend others.

My Mom is very comfortable and happy at Aegis Callahan and has been well cared for. The staff there are very engaging and get to know the residents well. The facility is clean, her room is clean, she is clean, even though she sometimes refuses care. The nursing staff is excellent. There are activities regularly scheduled throughout the day.

Aegis was the only assisted living facility that would take my dad after his massive stroke. Due to my dad's many health issues Aegis continued to step up to meet his needs. The staff is wonderful, welcoming, and very patient with my dad and our entire family. The facility is beautiful and my dad's room is perfect for his needs. They are very communicative and will call me with any concerns. I am so thankful for Aegis as I feel like a load has been taken off of my mind since I know he is in a safe, comfortable and caring facility. My dad is a music lover and they provide music entertainment two times a week. This week we attended a luau with a band and hula dancer. The dining room is extremely welcoming and you feel like you're in a restaurant setting. [name removed], our waiter is always accommodating with my dad's menu requests... we go and eat with my dad at least two times a week and the food is great! My dad definitely has his favorites on the menu. Thank you Aegis for all of your help.

but they haven't raised fees excessively so that is part of it. That do have a diverse menu and address individuals preferences and needs. Overall I am quite satisfied and would recommend Aegis at Marymoor

My Mom’s situation was fairly unique. She had been dealing with failing health for a couple of years, but always bounced back after medical treatment. We were all unsure that she would recover from her downward turn. Because of that uncertainty, placing her in Assisted Living was quite a challenge. Aegis was absolutely fantastic. I cannot sing their praises enough. Truly an extraordinary group of people! Between hospice and Aegis, Mom’s every need was met. A nursing care plan was put in to place immediately upon arrival. She was hoping to get her hair done, and an appointment was made prior to her arrival! The team had a communication plan in place also, questions were promptly answered. Changes that needed to be made happened swiftly and seamlessly. They are an absolutely amazing team of caregivers and professionals! I am so grateful to have found them!
