My loved one's biggest complaint is the food. It's very bland, and even though they put out a menu, they're often out of things and rarely have what's on the menu. Other than that, regarding things like friendliness, cleanliness, and staff she's partially satisfied, although not completely.

The food is very bad. The quality is not good, it is over seasoned/very highly salted, and they never have anything twice. Your order something and try to get it again and they don't have it. There are not many activities provided for the residents either. Due to our experience, we would not recommend the facility to others.

Beautiful community, overall not the right fit.

i toured this community and had a neutral experience with the guide and tour itself. this facility was beautiful, but the memory care unit felt more like a hospital than a home.

Southgate is a nice facility but it was too large for my sister. They also do not accept Medicaid, so if she ran out of money we would have to move her.

It was mainly independent living at The Reserve. They had assisted living, but it seemed just sort of tacked on. And that really wasn’t going to work as well for Dad. Plus, they don't offer memory care, which he might need later. We really wanted the option for that continuity if needed down the line.

This was a very new and clean community. The had open spaces for the memory care residents.

Our tour at Lincoln Court was good, but it didn’t seem like a very homey place. It seemed just slightly better than a nursing home. And I wanted a place for my loved one to feel at home and really comfortable.

Anthology just smelled different. It wasn't terrible, but it was a smell that definitely stayed with you. I think facility was nice. But I didn’t like the way staff were leaving there really quick. I'm not sure why there was so much turnaround of staff.

We toured pre-pandemic. When we walked in, we didn’t see any residents. We got to view some rooms, and they seemed kind of small. Our biggest takeaway was it just seemed kind of dead. There weren't really any people around, and not much was going on.

The biggest issue that we had while my loved one was here was that they were understaffed. They had a very high rate of staff turnover as well.

I had an overall good impression after my tour at Winslow Court, although I recognize that they all have their best foot forward on the tours. It seemed pretty much average, generally about the same as the other places that I looked at. What sold me on another place that we ended up choosing was the rapport with the salesperson, just an intangible feeling that my loved one would be well looked after.

We toured this community and it was very nice. I felt like the community was more into telling me what was bad about other communities rather than tell me why we should choose Lincoln Court.

I thought it was just okay. There were a lot of much older people there, and it seemed like a less active community.

This would have been our second choice. My loved one absolutely fell in love with this place. The amount and types of activities really appealed to her. She is LDS, and they had a whole center based around that. The food was excellent. The friendliness of the staff was really awesome. The part I didn’t care for was the sales process. At first we had a really great experience. I talked to the marketing director at least twice before we came on our tour, and she and I had very long conversations about my loved one's preferences and things for her to see and experience on the tour, as well as what some of her fears were around moving. In hind sight, I feel like the marketing director listened and then was like - this is how I can sell you on this. Then when we got there, the pricing and availability changed drastically from what she had told me on the phone. We had gotten my loved one so excited to live there, and then there was absolutely no way we could afford it. My loved one gave me the most crestfallen look. Clearly this woman didn’t listen during our conversation, which created an awkward situation. We still loved the environment. It didn’t feel like an old person’s home in the traditional sense. They really encouraged interactions between the residents. We actually saw residents out and about interacting, and my loved one was able to talk with them and get a feel for the community, which is what she was looking for. It was just a matter of pricing.

The director seems to tell you to want you want to hear vs reality. The communication is about average between the family and the staff. I would want people to research this community before making their decision

We moved our loved one in mid summer, and they had to quarantine her for just a few days for precaution. During those few days they forgot to bring her her meals, we had to keep reminding them. No one made sure she understood how to order the meals off the menu. For the next few months it felt like we were just paying for an apartment with food delivery service. She had falled and ended up going to the hospital, and we did not find out she went to the hospital until two days after the fact. The hospital was the one that notified us, not the community. When she initally came to the community they did not review the paperwork she filled out, so when she went to the hospital the community called the only number on the paper which was wrong and left a message. There was no follow ups after that to make sure our family was made aware of our loved one situation.

Current resident the food is good the rooms okay bed bugs are horrible the nursing staff is good cock roaches were a problem but pretty much under control

I really liked the activity schedule and room set up. However the $4000+ a month was not feasible for my mom’s budget.

I liked the people. The place was a bit of a maze and smelled very heavily of air freshener. I had a headache after about an hour visiting.
