Spring Hills

We feel we are blessed with the care of Administrators and staff at Hunters Creek. My mother is consistent in her selection of being well looked after. Feeling that people around her care, and that she is in a safe and beautiful place. When my mother is happy, I am thrilled!

I cannot say enough positive things about how Spring Hill has performed and taking care of my mother during this horrible pandemic! She will be 99 in January 2021 and is well. She has not gotten ill or in need of any special treatments. When the horrors of seniors dying in facilities by the hundred seem to be everywhere, Spring Hill if implements the right protocols and restrictions that kept everyone safe. Certainly I wanted to see my mother but I am convinced she is alive today because of Spring Hills aggressive, safe action. Everyone on staff has been focused on keeping them safe and it clearly shows by the exceptional results they’ve acheived. And even with the reopening and allowable visitations, they have maintained safe, aggressive protocols that allow me to see my mother while keeping her safe. Give this facility and its staff the most positive recognition it deserves!!!

The staff has been great helping us move my aunt into the community. You can tell they care. My aunt has dementia and they have made the move easier than I thought possible. It is wonderful knowing she is in a safe, caring and friendly environment.

My family's experience with Spring Hills has been nothing short of phenomenal. The caregivers are extremely friendly, there is always something to do and I have met an abundance of great people. I have loved the food while here. This community has left an impact on me and my family that we are forever grateful for.

Spring Hills community would bring in technicians to give manicures to the residents. They would also bring in piano players as well as have movie night. The residents could also play bingo. Overall this community offered a lot of nice activities to keep the residents active and engaged. The food was really nice, they have a beautiful dining room. This community has a variety of food for the residents to chose from, it is very well prepared. This is a very nice facility, they have nice gathering rooms where the residents an get together and hang out.

Moving During COVID-19 can be scary and unknown as to what decisions are best. My parent lived by hisself and we live out of state. Dad declined more after a fall and once he was done with rehab he simply wasn’t safe to live alone anymore. The Front desk was so pleasant and transferred me the Community Resident for additional info. I’m so use to the sales people not listening and only trying to get my email phone and address to send me gifts. This was different she actually listened to me and didn’t make me feel rushed or pressured to choose now. I did a virtual tour and included my sisters so that we could all see and have a part in this. The residents were happy in the background the staff was happy, there was a icecream truck looking cart going down the halls to the room with ice theme music playing it was amazing. We were trying between the newer building or that was older but homey. The next day we received the most beautiful and thoughtful and purposeful gift that was simply but powerful. We received the picture of our family all together on the virtual tour that was beautifully framed and said - “ Even when we are apart , we are still together in this!” Thats when we knew where we were going. Best decision that we could have made. The Head Nurse called me just to introduce herself the day before , the sales team just wowed me and resident concierge person was a ball of sunshine and made dad feel at ease with walking into the community leaving us behind. The next day the Executive Director called me and simply asked how was I doing with the transition and I said I just want to be there. Low and Behold I get another call from and ask her to hold on it was the community calling me to surprise me with a song and dad happy as ever. Real tears of Joy I cried in all of this sadden times of COVID-19 Spring Hills Lake Mary has given me and my family a little piece of happiness. Thank you guys for everything! Thank you [names removed] for the wonderful meal, [name removed] for the warm welcome [name removed] for the follow up move in call that set me at ease [names removed] you made the move process a delight.

If we could give Spring Hills community 6 gold stars out of 5 we would. Due to COVID we haven't been able to go inside, but from the looks of it, it seems to be kept very clean. Since the residents have to social distance, the staff comes by each and everyone's room with arts and crafts, as well as exercise videos they can have. They even set up window visits for families to come see their loved ones. The communication between the staff, the residents, and their families is just simply amazing. The overall look over this community is something right of out an old time movie set. It is so fancy looking, really beautiful.

The best experience for us during this pandemic. My mother lives at Springhills Lake Mary and we couldn’t be happier. [name removed] the resident angel I call her meets me outside to get my moms dog 3 times a week to spend time with her at the community during this pandemic. I love the videos and pictures of mom and the hallway parties and parades. I wasn’t feeling well one day that I missed dropping the dog off and the Executive Director personally showed up to home with dinner for my family, soup and get well soon gifts balloons and cards from everyone at the community . I’m grateful for mom to be there with thoughtful and loving individuals it feels like our extended family.

Thankful and amazed. I move my dad into this community and the Executive Director called me later that evening just to given me updates on how he was acclimating and even sent me photos of him enjoying the one on one engagement and his favorite meal that the chef made just for him. The Director of nursing was so great at making dad feel comfortable with getting tested a week prior to us coming it was amazing she was so gentle and knowledgeable. [name removed] the sales person went above and beyond with decorating the apartment during the pandemic. We are just happy all around. We feel genuinely warm and welcomed from everyone! [name removed] video chats me almost daily to talk with dad. The community even purchased him a [name removed] to use to video with us and the kids whenever. I’m happy- it’s a older building but man is it filled with good people that give you that warm welcoming feel with smiles and hugs! No regrets!

Spring Hills community was kept very clean, my spouse didn't really need the care services they provided. We were very pleased with this community, we visited 8 or 9 places and this is the one we chose. Our overall gut feeling told us this was the place for him, and we were not disappointed. It was beautifully furnished, the reception and dining room was everything to our liking. The general atmosphere and the staff was absolutely wonderful. Highly recommend it and would give it 10 gold stars if i could.

The community is always clean, no matter what time of day it is. The staff is very friendly. The staff has handled the Covid-19 pandemic extremely well and have followed the rules to the T. The food is so good, I go and eat here whenever I can with my mother! We do feel Spring Hills Hunters Creek is a good value for the money.

My mom was very well taken care of. The staff were just amazing. They were very accommodating to both myself and my mom's needs. The staff were always able to answer all of my questions and concerns that I had. It's really the best place you could possible give your parent to stay. The staff went above and beyond all of the time. I have no regrets and it is certainly worth the money.

2 years ago, my 90 year old mother entered Spring Hills in a wheelchair with limited mobility and in need of assistance with most of her daily activities. Today, she is able to move freely with her walker and take care of herself in everything except showering. Once alone and isolated, she now participates in all the activities. Her mental attitude has improved a hundredfold. The physical care and socialization has mended both body and spirit. We cannot say enough good things about the entire staff. They go well beyond expectations and tend to her like they would their own mother. The premises are warm and inviting. The activities are varied and appeal to any interest the residents may have. I take great comfort in knowing that my mother looks forward to every day and that I don't have to worry about the quality of her care. Spring Hills is simply the best!

I placed my mom at Springhills Somerset 2 years ago. She is a resident of Spring Cottage which is the memory care unit. She has been a resident of 2 other facilities in the past which turned out to be disasters because they did not have the experience handling an Dementia/Alzheimers patient. From day one, the staff has always been friendly and helpful. They seem to always be there to listen and respond to any requests that I have. My biggest issue when trying to choose a facility for mom was cleanliness, which includes offensive odors. This facility is very clean and I have not encountered any offensive odors. Her room is a single room which a lot of other facilities don't offer. Even though she might not participate in all the activities, they are offered twice a day. The staff will encourage her to participate. Mom seems to love everyone there because she is a talker and they will give her their time as much as possible. My family is extremely happy to have found Springhills Somerset!

I couldn't believe the care and attention I was given by [names removed] when I was searching for a place for my mom. They walked me through everything holding my hand for support. Wasn't sure if that would carry on once mom was here but the staff and facility are amazing. But more important is that mom is doing well and is happy. [Names removed] are so helpful!!

We chose Spring Hills for my mother-in-law, and we are very pleased. She has been there for two months now. The staff is friendly and helpful. My mother-in-law always remarks how clean the facility is. The food choices are good. Overall, we are extremely pleased!

My dad is in the memory care unit. They do lots of activities, like crafts, listening to music together, playing mind games, pet therapy, Dad is so nervous he doesn't do a lot of group activities anymore, but nothing is forced. It's nice that he can wander in there and still be safe. The nursing staff is very attentive, communication from them is very good, and it's a very clean place. There are activity stations set up but mostly I see the residents doing group activities.

I am extremely pleased with the care my wife is receiving. The staff genuinely love er and show it by the way they treat her. I can't think of a place I would rather have her.

The staff is fantastic from admissions to the maintenance persons. Easy to deal with and very helpful if anything is needed. My father can be very stubborn the aids and nursing staff is too well with him and all the other residents . Definitely would recommend Springhills to anyone looking for a great facility, and great staff!!
