I did not tour here, but I did speak on the phone with a gentleman. He was helpful, and when I said I was looking for a two bedroom apartment, he advised that they only had one bedroom apartments available, but that he would be willing to cut a hole in the wall to join two of the rooms together. While I did appreciate his willingness to accommodate, I decided to go with another community.

This is a loving caring community to be a part of.

Loved [Removed] who manages the assisted living side. Facility looks older. The courtyards were not shaded and seating was minimal and uncomfortable. Too far out from where Mom currently lives.

I toured this community and I didn't feel good about it at all and was really to far out of the way. They dropped the ball a little it felt like they were new to the program on how things work in communities.

They take good care of me and feed me.

My mother has recently made the move into this community and in the beginning it was a really rocky transition. The staff where not prepared for her move at all and where not organized in her plan of care. It really made things difficult on our family for the first two weeks. I will say that things have improved since all of that has happened and changes have been made. I do hope that they can get some more staff employed to help with the resident ratio. There is just not enough people working there and to accommodate everyone's needs. They do have a great happy hour there that my mom really enjoys from time to time. I will lastly say they do have a few really strong people that work there who always go above and beyond for the residents.

The people were so friendly here, the facility was older and needed upgrading. I didn't have any problems with my tour of this community. Everyone was nice to my family, and The staff I met was friendly, and helpful. My questions were answered, and the experience went well. It was not the one for my mother, but my tour was nice. The rooms were good size. They had a nice enclosed dog run. Just felt like they need renovations. There activity rooms were small.

Poor food-often cold. Middle school type food offerings. Too much starches, not enough fruit or veggies. Activities are ok, not much variety. They do outside trips which is good. Not the best place for your loved one, not the worse. Really for residents that don't require much care. Mostly reminders and meds. If your loved one requires any real care, keep looking. They do the very bare minimum. Don't believe what the brochure says. Not enough staff. Waits for help can be very long. Sometimes the hallways smell.

This place doesn't accept Medicaid (only Private Pay). May be a good option for Respite.

Nice people. Apartments were not up to standard of some of the others we looked at.

The community was fine. The staff was good and they were helpful. My father in law just kept saying that the food was not good. However, everything else like the community being clean and my father in laws room is good.

I wasn't excited about this place, even though they had confirmed my appointment they didn't have me on the schedule and didn't make me welcomed. The residents were not visable and I didn't like the smell.

I would say it is still a work in progress for us here at this community. My mother is doing okay since her move to this community. She is still adjusting to everything. This is one of the better community I looked, but I do have some concerns. They could do a better job with her daily up keeping. One time when I visited her chair was broken in room, and I don't know how long had it had been sitting there broken. She has had four hearing aids come up missing. I would say they have a good selection of activities for the residents. The meals need some improvements, they severed her a grilled cheese for dinner one time when I was there. Overall it has been a decent experience and I would recommend this community.

Another management shakeup. 3rd one since they opened in April of this year. Not enough staff , longggggggg wait times for your loved one and you dare not express your concerns for fear they toss your loved one (have seen this first hand) out on their ear. Instead of getting more CNAs, their new strategy is to say that your loved one requires too much help and has to go. This place has such potential but it very badly run which is a shame because their CNAs are great. Management, not so much.

They have to get more experienced staff. The wait times are to long and the excuses are getting to be unacceptable. If you know about the long wait times, address it, fix it and monitor it. Wellness Nurse in charge seems somewhat disconnected and cold. Medication management is very expensive. The place, the rooms, the location, the grounds, the covered patio, the food, the residents and the executive director ,[Removed] are all great. The activities could use some work but that will come. No bus to transport residents around to doctors appointments but that may come toward the end of the year. Residents need varying degrees of care and they need staff to provide timely responses. More accessible rooms needed, especially if people are going to age in place. Biggest issue with this place is the urgent need for more staff, pronto!!!! I would recommend this place, once more staff is hired.

My tour of this community was a nice one, but the community was a little to dark looking for us. I don't know if it was the decor or that there wasn't much light. The staff was nice and kind. They were informative and answered my questions. They were great follow up's and making sure we were okay. It just wasn't the community for my mother in law and her needs.

I like that Oakwood Senior Living reused an old building. I'm all about up-cycling and recycling. It's got nice tall windows and ceilings, and wide hallways. It is easy to move around in as she is using a walker. They do not have any call buttons yet. I understand that they have ordered some that they can wear around their necks. I am wondering what's the hold up because they haven't gotten them in yet. My mother is getting tired of the food. It is a little bland. It could definitely be improved on. They may make changes as they get at full occupancy. I don't want to be too critical I am pleased with the personnel there. They are really nice to my mother. They encourage her to go eat and get out of her room. l of them because I know it's in the beginning stages. I am satisfied overall and have already made some recommendations to them.
