Watermark at East Hill. My mom has been a resident for exactly three years. The facility is beautiful, immaculately kept, warm and caring staff. I have been a weekly visitor for all of those three years and have also stayed in overnight apartments on occasion. NOTHING like what the previous review states has ever been seen. Everyone knows my Mom's name, her likes and dislikes. Her apartment is beautiful. The common areas are beautiful. The grounds are beautiful. Take a look for yourself and then be the judge.

Watermark has the most beautiful indoor pool. It has glass panels and sliders enclosing it. As you look out you are surrounded on all sides by 14 acres of large old trees and greenery maintained by a gardening service. The pool is kept at a comfortable temperature to make walking or swimming enjoyable. A new easy access door has been recently installed which makes entering and exiting easy. Anyone coming to Watermark will love the pool!

There are a variety of activities, as well as concern for the interests of each individual. I have been particularly pleased with the cleaning services. The staff is usually very attentive to the needs of the residents.

The staff are very good and very caring. If your loved one is in one division moving to another, for instance from skilled nursing to an independent apartment or vice versa, just be aware that the transition is not as smooth as it looks on the website. The communication between the different groups is not smooth enough. And you have to be an advocate for your person. The people are very friendly and good at what they do, but the two sections don't talk, which surprised me. The independent living apartments are very nice and well appointed. My loved one likes the food. It's a very nice place overall.

Really nice facility, but expensive given it is really an independent living community. I did not get to see the assisted living community, which I am hearing is not great...but will reserve judgement since I did not get to see it :)

The Villa is not for everyone but it is perfect for my mother. It is a very small (14 residents) dementia only place, and the pace is calm with a lot of down time. They do not use the television as a babysitter. It is like a dormitory, with a kitchen and livingroom for all the residents and two halls with seven rooms each. The rooms are small but the residents are not in them very much. They spend most of their time out in the living area. No place is perfect, but the staff at the Watermark/ the villa are continually trying to improve. There are activities, but not constantly. My mother's favorite part is the large front porch with the rocking chairs, she could rock all day long. We feel we have found as good as we can get in a facility for OUR mother.

I have no complaints about how things are going for my mother since she made the move into this community. The staff have all been friendly and made sure to accommodate her needs at the best of there ability. She really enjoys the dinning experience as well as the delicious meals they provide. Overall we are very pleased and would recommend it to anyone.

I toured this community for my mother, and her needs. The tour went well, and everyone was very kind. The community was well-kept. The staff that I met was kind,an and informative. My questions were answered. It was a good experience, but it wasn't the right fit for my mother.

From what I saw of the Watermark, it was just fine. The facility was well maintained and the staff seemed very friendly. Our primary concern was that this facility does not have assisted living options for my loved one. Besides this, this looks like a great place!

The staff at The Watermark is friendly. The facility is pretty clean. I feel the expectations of the family is so much more than they can offer. I feel there should be some extra things that aren't there in the independent living areas, such as handrails in the hallway, just for precautionary reasons.

The Watermark was set up differently than the place we chose. Where my mom is now they have 4 different neighborhoods, they call it, and basically the patients can go anywhere they want and the aids check on the. This one was set up more like it was one building and the rooms were one room with a bathroom with a door that you close. There were only like 11 rooms. It was smaller, when we were there we really didn't see any activities. Maybe there are but there weren't any when we were there. I don't even remember what the cost was. It was farther away from me than other places so that's why we really didn't look into it further.

While looking, the salesperson sold me, he was so encouraging. Communication really is key. I would tell others to make sure and be involved with your loved ones and stay on top of their day.

Grounds are beautiful and staff is very friendly. It really is a nice place, however, I do think you need to do more to get the seniors involved in the activities that you arrange. Many of the activities are posted, but are not actually carried out due to lack of participation. Seniors need to know what's going on and need to be persuaded to join the activities. They do need constant reminders as I forget easily. Many times, I have seen that no one shows up to the activities except one or two persons who try to join, but they get discouraged because no one else is there. Please try to get everyone involved. Somehow, you have to encourage the seniors to join the activities and build camaraderie.

This is very well known and established. We chose it because it was smaller, and we thought that would be better. The physical set up was terrific, but there was no oversight. They are very hands off and not engaged, the memory care seems almost like an after thought. The aides while pleasant, but didn't really engage with the residents.
