The staff is really nice. And it's a clean facility. I don't think they give enough care to the patients, change diapers enough, etc., but that's me. But the staff really are very nice, and so are the people who live there. My loved one seemed to like the food. He actually ate everything, which is unusual for him. They do offer activities if you choose to participate.

Our family was able to do a virtual tour and our experience was okay. Their system was not working as well as what they had hoped so they didn't take us around the community. They were able to show us pictures, but we decided it just wasn't the place for our loved one.

The management is inadequate, The maintenance has not been kept up over the years. The current manager does not have much satisfaction and remote and doesn't try hard enough in my opinion. there is no advance planning in this community. I would not recommend this community to others based on my experience.

[name removed] was WONDERFUL! She was helpful, empathetic, open, honest.....! Wonderful person for the job. Then there were the three sisters that worked there. They were awesome. I saw one more so than the others and she knew what she was doing, took charge and was confident. Good workers. While my relative was bedridden, I was disappointed in some of the aids. They seemed inexperienced. One didn't know how to give water to my relative. I had to help hold his head up and help her. The aid was lost on that task. I was told that my dying relative would be checked on every 15 minutes during the night. I would have liked to have stayed in the chair in his room because he was near death but I got the feeing they didn't want me there. While my relative was bedridden and mostly sleeping or in a coma and not responding to commands, the staff was still give morphine in liquid form. How is someone in this condition going to swallow this without choking? Shouldn't this be given in shot form at this point or in an IV? Then there was the front door. On the weekend when I was trying to get in and I knew my relative was close to death, it took forever for someone to let me in. (The people that live there said the same thing.....no help when they call). When a lady finally came, I told her my relative was dying but she had me wait and ran off. She came back and had me wait again by the Gardens door and ran off. That took a few minutes which seemed forever. By the time I got in, I was only in the room 30 seconds before my relative died. When they turned on the light, my relative had foam the same color as morphine running down the side of his mouth. The aid said she had just checked him half an hour ago. What happened to 15 minutes? I'm wondering why Corridor isn't more equipped or capable of dealing with hospice care. We were in touch with the hospice nurse but she left the care to your facility. Also, my relative was on his THIRD day in bed when we came to visit yet no one called us to tell us that he was that bad. My feeling is that the aids are not qualified enough to handle this situation. While we were there three days in a row, I never saw them turn him on his side or in a different position so he was always on his back. I'm sure he was on his back for four days straight without a change in position. What is up with that? Disappointment with end of life care.

My mom was only there for a respite stay while we were on vacation for a month. My mom had a hard time adjusting and I think the the staff could have done more to help. They were informative during the intake process and they did answer my questions but they were not pro active when it came to care. I felt she was safe while she was there. The food was okay. The community was a little plain compared to other options in the area. It would not be my long term pick for my mom.

This community seems to be going through some staffing changes and we have noticed that some of the residents rooms are not being cleaned very well. I feel they have not followed through on some of the promises that were made in the beginning. They offer a fair amount of activities and they go out on Mondays and Fridays. This community does work with residents regarding the cost of living there. We are hoping that things will improve as they are doing some remodeling and hiring some new staff members.

They care more obout the remodel then the actual care of residents. My relative and other residents have been robbed and the person still works there. The food is too spicey for the age of residents. But what really surprised me was how inexperienced the director is and definantly over her head. Since she came to this facility the care of residents has gone down tremendously. I'm now seeking a new place for my relative. So my recommendation is fi d somewhere else.

I would never recommend them to anyone. My loved one passed away 2 years ago this month and I sent a letter to Brookstone and copied you and their parent company about his care or lack of care. I never heard back from anyone. There were too many issues to list. He was left unattended. Room never cleaned. Mold on air-conditioning unit. I went every day and hospice came 3 times a week. I did all his laundry. He would be left in wet sheets and clothes until I arrived. Finally was able to find another place after 3 months at Brookstone. His final months were a nightmare and I still relive them

They were understaffed and as a result, my mother fell and fractured a hip and that hastened her passing. It's a nice place, the staff is caring. They WERE understaffed at the time of her injury and that's something people should consider.

The few positives are the facility was very clean. They had great food. And they offered plenty of activities. However, the staff is not attentive to the residents. They don't check on them. There is no follow-up when you try to reach out to the nursing supervisor or director. They just don't return calls or emails. They did not follow up properly with me or my loved one after she fell and had a concussion. Essentially the care staff hide all day, and we had to learn where to find them when we needed them. They were not readily on the floor or easy to find. The facility is not adequately staffed. There was only one caregiver for the whole floor in assisted living. And the staff who are there do things like go and sit in their cars or lay down on the couches.

They still owe me a refund and I have not received it. I took my father to the hospital because he was dehydrated. The staff was friendly but the CNA's did not chart liquid or food intake. My Dad was lost one time in someone elses room. I never saw anyone mop or clean the rooms or bathrooms. Food SUCKED! i am mad that I never received my prorated refund.

They have no communication. The people [removed] and she needed more help than they were able to give. They have done a very poor job with taking care of her. I would not recommend them to anyone else. They are extremely overpriced.

I wasn't too impressed with this place. It's very depressing and I wasn't too impressed with the cleanliness, it wasn't clean at all and they only had a common shower for everybody, they didn't have any showers in their room and I didn't like that. Mostly it was liek a nursing home or a place people would go when they got out of the hospital.

It may be easier to point out the positives, rather than publish a novel about the problems at this facility. When I first walked in, the entrance smelled like a skunk… if you know what I mean… Our tour guide was rude and pushy, constantly cutting me off during our conversation. It came off very desperate. Aside from the employees, the building was not kept up. They were renovating one section during our visit, so maybe things will improve. However, I will not be returning to the Pinnacle for as long as upper management stays the same.

This facility has very poor management starting from the top. They were unprofessional during our visits and seemed to have no control over the community. I felt bad for the residents that had already moved in.
