I really liked this place a lot. It was open, cheerful and active. I liked the staff and the extensive list of activities. I could picture my Dad there, living with his wife in his own apartment but being able to socialize and enjoy himself.

Nice place. Too restrictive. Mom's not ready for this yet. Felt 'wrong'.

Visited 2/2/13 with mom & Dad. Very nice - room size was average. Residents very happy. Very nice walking area with swings. Didn't meet with marketing - some concern about price for care like medications etc.

Although we did not keep our appointment (Mom is moving in with us), the staff that I spoke to was extremely professional and curteous.

Nice facility, price is a little high. No medicaid so not sure what we would do when my dad's money runs out. LOVE the bathroom and the room setup.

Nice, studio bigger than MG, nice courtyard, restricted meal plans, assigned dining seating, lots of activities, old sunrise, locally owned now.

Advantages Assisted living and memory care, daily activities divided into levels of care, people from the memory care can do activities in assisted, cats in memory care, food good, outside walking no restictions, end of hallway is sitting are with plants and tv, companion rooms, closer to home, outdoor gardening Disadvantiage They have transportation for water aerobics, but may have to wait awhile for pickup - need sitter ,

Rooms were good sized and reasonably priced. Additional costs for personal care seemed higher than other places. Lots of activities

I liked it, but may not be accomodating enough for the dog.

Nice facility. The director provided good information. Respite program as well as daycare make for good options.

The memory care unit is upstairs so residents could not mingle with others. We think it is important for them to be able to talk to others to help slow down the disease. There is also only a little balcony, there is no where for residents to get outside and walk around. We just did not feel like there was much interaction and it was not a robust environment for the mental stimulation we were looking for for our loved one. What we did like about the facility was it did not feel institutional. The rooms are private and feel more like apartment-style living.

This community was nice but it just did not fit our needs. The room that was the nicest and opened up to outside opened up to the outside parking area and seemed to be the smoking area. We knew my loved one would not like this. It was nice but not a good fit for what we were looking for.

The community was very reasonably priced. The staff was always pleasant and very nice to me and my loved ones. We could visit the community by appointment, and they would let me bring her dog in to visit. The communication between the staff and the community was good and they returned calls quickly. I would recommend this community to others after the pandemic due to all the restrictions. The community is located centrally located in the downtown area.

I have lived here for 3+ years, and I can definitely tell you that the last 6 months since the new owners took over, things have improved considerably. There are new caregivers, all of whom are certified, and there are enough of them to properly care for the residents. Full time professional maintenance staff. Lots of renovations to the facility, full time activities director, weekly excursions, improved food service, improved housekeeping. And last but not least, an Executive Director that is open, approachable, understanding and really cares about the residents.

Rooms for 2 people too small. The same size as the single rooms. Clothes end up missing, misplaced and stuffed in a very small closet with the other person’s. The staff are very friendly, helpful and wonderful with the residents; however, no communication from the director or even a smile or hello. [Name removed] (who answers the phone) is exceptional and always there when you need something.

Another nice community I had no complaints. The community was in a nice setting almost felt like you were in the country. The staff was very nice and friendly. The community was clean and looked good inside and out.

The staff here did a very nice job with my tour here for my brother. They took their time showing me around and answering all my questions. The memory care unit was very nice but right now I feel my brother would do much better in the assisted living area, which was also very nice. The community had a lot to offer.

My mom is settling in quite nicely at the Atria Forest Lake. The community is very clean and inviting. The staff is friendly and attentive to her needs. She really enjoys the salads they serve, she says she is gaining weight and I told her that is only because she wins the cookies they serve as rewards at Bingo! There are plenty of activities and her therapist takes her for walks to enjoy the outdoors. We are very satisfied that mom is getting the best care here at Atria Forest Lake.

We were really not overly impressed with this location. The location needs to be updated new paint carpets just everything in general. It does not give off a very good first impression when you walk in the door and see residents just sitting in wheelchairs not doing anything not even talking to each other. The only thing we really liked was they offered a range of options for the rooms.
