I did not like it. I felt very uncomfortable there.

I am content here. Like my apartment and the workers are great. Food could always be better but it is hard to satisfy everyone. I bare no comparison so my opinion is they are all alike, it is up to you to be satisfied.

My mother resided there for almost 3 years and was well taken care of of the most part. The aides were wonderful and shout out to [names removed] who gave our family a sense of relief when they were on shift. However, after private pay ran out & we had to cover her expenses with Medicaid she was given the boot. The head nurse & dean of nursing made several excuses why but refused to admit that was the reason. It's corporate corruption at it's best & those 2 had absolutely no code of ethics whatsoever. If this sounds bitter it should. We were promised she would never be turned away for any circumstance but yet we had to move her. Mom's new place is awesome, clean & great staff but at 88 years old this was a ridiculous situation to be put in.

Regency Oaks is beautiful and high class but too large and doesn’t meet my parents needs. The buy in and costs are too high.

Visitors conduct at Greenwood Village South. It helps to have a grin an bear it attitude. Complaining and getting assertive about the sometime shoddy care your loved one is receiving will only lead to you being considered for permanent disbarment from the facility. Loved ones have to learn too that the more they complain the less actual care they will receive. Weekends is when the missed showers and snotty attitude of the staff mainly happens. Greenwood Village South is probably one of the better places to put a loved one but all of them need to improve vastly.

The community here is small, 24 studio apartments for assisted living. The common areas seemed more clinical than homey. Since it is a small community there is a waitlist. The contact person was very knowledgeable and able to accommodate our tight schedule.

I do not live close to Freedom Square so I have to communicate through vmail & email. Never once has the care coordinator replied to either.

I live in a villa. The heater/ac is a little noisy, but that’s OK. The faucets, toilet, shower, etc. but, so far still working. The water pressure is not good. Kitchen appliances all work and are OK. My rent includes 2 meals a day. Breakfasts are great on M, Wed and Fri. Other days are make-do... Dry cereal dispensed from a glass jar and gets ground up in the process. Danish and muffins are the same every Tues, Thur and Sat. I quit going to evening meal s ‘cause the entrees were lousy. I now only go to breakfast, and cook my own lunch and supper. Grounds are well-kept, Villa maintenance is good and first level of Administration is OK. Management above that needs attention. I don’t mind living here. But it’s very over priced.

It looked a little run down and also had a very unpleasant musty smell. One of the residents was walking around in her bare feet and the other residents were just sitting around really doing nothing. The staff was pleasant but I really was not that impressed.

[Name removed] is a great spokesman who represents the community as a warm caring facility. Found it to be a bit dark, needs more lighting. Well-maintained but hows its age. Personal care dining room seems sad. Very warm, air not effective in some rooms.

I just finished a stay at Monarch landing and her are my comments. The facility is very, very nice and very clean and does not have any odor. The food is hit and miss. The CNA’s and nurses were very good, there were a few that were only so, so. Therapy was also very good. They worked with you very well and made you want to do therapy. The management staff was horrible. They did not show even the slightest concern for the patients. They treated me as if I was a burden to them. The Director was the worst of the group. I am not sure why she has such an attitude but she certainly is not a people person. Unfortunately, she has the rest of her staff following her lead. If you don’t have to deal with her or her team everything would be a nice.

Nice Area in Seminole. Lots of conveniences , shopping at the mall across the street, theatre nearby, food shopping. However even though studio apt. is spacious , one had to bring own dbl size mattress to create area spacious area of rest.

Tour went well we are moving toward a decision in april.

Looked nice, but not as good as others regarding size (big) with LONG halls to manage for impaired walking for spouse. Required moving to another apartment if moving up to assisted living -- also for spouse.

Like that it is a gated community with individual living space w/garage. No complaints. Everything was nice except the kitchen was small and outdated. The cost $3595 monthly is based on location and gated community.

I looked at the Dallas Retirement Village when I was looking for a new place to live. I thought that the community itself was very nice, however, I did not like that I would have had to buy into the community. I would have had to sell my house, and I just wasn't comfortable with that.

Was very interested to tour this facility since it's location is very convenient for all of our family members. Entrance into Memory Care Area was quite odd and confusing if you were unfamiliar or a first time visitor. High ratio of female patients, only 8-9 males. 2 outdoor secured courtyards on the smaller side. 50+ beds divided into 4 "neighborhoods" with 13 residents each on 2 floors. Only a private room available, room was of nice size with a large window. Private bathrooms do not have showers/tubs. Shower room is shared by 6-7 patients and they must be escorted by a staff member. staffing ratios 1:6.5. Facility is 20+ years old and decor was dated, carpet spotted and snagging in some hallways. Toured between 4-5 PM and residents were clustered in a living room area, TV was not on and staff was not actively engaging with residents. Units had a full activity schedule posted but we were not there during any of the activities. Our tour guide said they going to be starting a new program with new games starting in November. Care costs were very comparable to other toured facilities but there was also a $3,000 buy in fee.

This was a different community. What I called assisted living was actually considered independent living which as very nice. When we were there they were having "happy hour". Everyone was friendly and it was a nice facility. However the Personal Care (memory care portion to me) was darker, smaller and I didn't care for that portion.

Common areas were small. I did not observe residents being social. Assisted living has many issues, complaints on Yelp.
