The rooms were smaller at this community. The community is clean. The person that conducted the tour did seem pushy and I could not get my questions answered. They also have different levels of care and the price increases as the levels of care change.

I would recommend this community to others. They provide excellent meals and a good variety to choose from. Activities to help keep active and participate for enjoyment. The staff is very nice and always helpful here.I am very happy to be in a clean enviroment here.

It offered the exact thing I wanted. I was really interested in Aging in place, and they really had the whole package. I wasn't aware until I got there that there was a buy-in. The biggest thing I don't like is when they ring the doorbell and they run off, and leave the food sitting on the floor.

To be completely honest, I loved what I saw on my tour with the Executive Chef, as I have a culinary arts degree. I was rather disappointed that I arrived to find that my appointment had not been confirmed as the website A Place for Mom had suggested....this is not the only place I showed up without an appointment. I was totally impressed with their facility. The Chef could not answer most of my questions, he was taking me on a tour since everyone else was in a class. Seriously, not the fault of anyone except A Place for Mom. He was kind and answered all my questions as best as he could, and was so nice to print off the weekly menu for me because both my parents have dementia and getting them to eat is really an obstacle! I would have loved for my parents to have stayed here if it was closer to my home and I knew what exactly the fees were. It is possible that I did miss a call from this place due to the fact that I had to return to NC to take care of my parents. I did use my Clearwater home phone # as my contact.

There are many very good things to say about this facility. They are all in the company's brochure and do not need repeating here. Rather, I will focus on those things that can be improved upon. More encouragement from staff, perhaps even taking a firm lead, to get residents to attend activities suitable for their individual requirements/abilities/tastes. This would include the "take a stroll outdoors" events, especially for those with limited mobility or eyesight. I have heard residents respond to the question "How are you today?" with "I'm bored." "All I do is sit in my room and watch TV." "The nurse asked me 'what I want to do today' I said, go home." Strive to eliminate all negative responses to such questions. Yes, we're in Florida, but is it a requirement that all aides work on Florida Time? Step lively folks! At least give the impression that you like your work and are seriously interested in helping people who can no longer entirely take care of themselves. WAIT!!! How about thinking about whether you would be happy with your level of service when you reach your clients' age?

So far so good - Love the place. Mom was very scared initially. Since her husband of 72 years passed in April she is lost without him. She has Alzheimers, but appears to be settling in. For the price I would strongly recommend Eastcastle. Everyone has been courteous and helpful

I think it's horribly expensive but it's comparable to everything around it so I guess it's fair. They have group exercise, movies, cards and games, and a group outing but they are not always happening when they say they're going to happen. My mother doesn't like the food but my father seems satisfied with it.

They are short staffed so things have fallen through the cracks. When we looked at the place they talked up their food and that they had a chef. The food is always cold because they bring it up to the 3rd floor. Dad has a bedroom, living room and bathroom which is a really good size. It is clean. There are issues with the call button - it takes them 15 minutes or longer to answer or come to his room.

Staff is very nice & helpful; no activities; food ok; villa very good.

The staff was not prepared for the level of care that my mother needed. Everytime something happened, they sent her to the hospital. They blamed her bed for her falls when she was falling in the bedroom. The last fall in 3 months (3 in 4 months - all to the ER) I believe was caused by my mother tripping over a mat that was put at the side of her bed. She tripped on the mat and landed face-first into the rail that they approved for her bed. My mother is incredibly active and fast. They kept her in a wheel chair most of the day or on a couch. The administrator of her area complained to me that her staff was having to watch my mother. I thought that was their job. I went to her room to get her clothing because my mother is currently in hospice. The room smelled horrible. I found urine and feces in the toilet. I also found a plastic cup on the counter with feces in it. There was also feces in the bathroom sink. I took pictures.

I was not impressed with the facility. Although it is very new, it also felt environmentally cold. They did not have many of the activities I am looking for. There was one or two people that were friendly, but did not get the feeling that the residents were overly friendly. I will not be choosing this as my next home.

It’s all a show. Based off the last two weekends I experience it’s all a show. You can tell the staff and nursing are all running around on low fumes. For the cost. If you ask me. Not worth dealing with burn out staff who don’t want nothing to do with you. Higher management should get on the floor and help their staff with medication errors and lack of administration. It’s a shame because it’s in greendale and beautiful are. The outdoors is lovely walking in. Pay your staff more. Hire and properly educate them. The weekends are the worse you can not find anyone. One manager for a campus the size of a hospital or mini airport. The things that go on I can list them all but this place is all a show. Don’t be fooled you will get stuck. Hope for this place because it is a very nice campus.

Not enough help, especially on weekends and during the night. Menu is very repetitious and too spicy for most residents. Frustratingly long waits for assistance. No system in place to advise resident who needs help that someone who is on the way or to quickly assess the problem. Entirely too expensive for the services that are rendered. I'm disappointed with the care and the food. There's good effort to have activities for the residence who can do them. Everything seems to be repetitive., mostly a horrible menu

Good Fit for Families Willing to Stay Involved Rose was able to accommodate a very quick move-in for my loved one following a medical event, and their sales team was responsive throughout the process. Compared to other communities we toured, pricing was competitive and they offered meaningful incentives on both the community fee and monthly costs. The apartments are comfortable, the location is convenient for family involvement, and the team has generally been willing to adjust his care plan as needs change. That said, our experience has highlighted some operational challenges. Communication between shifts and departments has often been inconsistent, leading to medication administration issues early on, missed laundry services, appointment coordination gaps, and situations where documented care plan preferences were not consistently followed. Communication with nursing staff has been particularly challenging at times. We also found that transportation services were not exactly as represented during the sales process, which created some confusion regarding available support. Overall, I would recommend Rose to families who are willing to stay actively involved in their loved one's care and advocate when needed. The community has been supportive of my loved one's recovery, but consistent follow-through and communication remain areas that could be improved.

The ratings for the staff varies. A few are top notch. I really like [name removed]. Most of them are in the wrong job and should not be near a resident. Mean! I don't think I have had a hot meal. Always cold. The menu has a good variety but rarely lives up to the description.

I had an appointment with the Director who did not show up or let me know she wouldn’t be there. The person who filled in was very nice but it did not feel good that the person that I had been speaking to wasn’t there and didn’t let me know. I found the single rooms for a dementia patient too small . I heard that rooms are cleaned only once a week and that didn’t sound right to me. A dementia patient can be very messy. Overall it didn’t start right so I am not considering the Brielle.

They are clearly short staffed, and also don't share information very well amongst eachother. They also don't try very hard to integrate people into their community

Staff is great, cleanliness is great, activities don't vary much and more entertainment would be nice for those who don't participate in games. Dining is lacking in service with a smile and offers a lot of fish it seems like. Dessert is always great. My mom was a resident in the independent side. She did pull the cord on two occasions. Response time was not what we felt timely in any way unfortunately. Mom ultimately ended up needing assisted living after a number of falls and we moved her closer to her daughter in another community.

It's difficult to get responses back from the staff when you call and leave messages or text. The rooms are kept clean. The staff is nice. It's difficult to locate the nurse in staff or anyone in charge when we are at the facility visiting if we have questions. This is our first experience with any type of facility so I have nothing to compare it to. My expectations may be set too high.

Overall, the location is good, quality and quantity of meals is great. Everyday working staff are helpful and friendly. The Sales Counselor, and Move-in Coordinator are fantastic. After 3 months, they still greet us with a smile and hug. Middle management staff is where the ball is dropped. Repeated questions by voicemail left are never returned. Never an answer or apology, nothing.
