Juniper Communities

Our experience with Wellspring has been nothing but positive. There are many similarities among the various places offering dementia and memory care. But here, the difference comes from the staff--knowledgeable and proactive, compassionate and warm. The attitude and philosophy come from the top, and trickle down. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, not cold or institutional. The combination of the staff's (aides and administrators) dedication to the residents and their open communications with and accessibility for family members is difficult to overvalue. Overall, they deliver on the promise of "nurturing the spirit of life."

I'm pleased with it, I'm happy. It's comparable to most, price-wise, and better than some. The food is okay, and they try to accommodate her, if there is something she doesn't really like. Sometimes communication among the could be a little better. I liked the location, and I feel like they really listened to me, and addressed my concerns. I like that everything is right here in this one building, and there are more people here to help her.

This is a first rate facility. We could tell immediately they went out of their way to know all they can about prospective residents to make their stay enjoyable. Our guide had an answer to every question and did not hesitate with answers. The facility was clean, smelled pleasant, was brightly lit and tastefully decorated. My husband and I felt very at home here and comfortable that his mom would be at home here.

My father lived in the Memory Care Unit of the Emeritus at Preston for about a year. During that time his care was provided by a thoughtful, caring staff who took excellent care of him. We were so satisfied with his care that we have just moved my husband's mother into the same facility and anticipate she will be well cared for as well.

I can't say enough good things about this place! Our mom had lived alone since the death of our father in 1980. We were all worried about her but knew that convincing her to move was impossible. After a hospital stay we were told she could not go home. We met with Juniper Village in Forest Hills and moved her in the next day. Everybody's great and mum is really happy! As for the food, breakfast is her favorite. There's good communication with the staff. The place is kept very clean. They offer lots of activities, and although she said she wasn't interested she has started attending the exercise classes. Bonnie was very helpful getting us VA benefits information. The staff checks in on her regularly, so we no longer have to worry! Although we are concerned about the cost we know that they are competitive. Other then that I think I can speak for my 5 siblings in saying we have no complaints!

My husband was just transferred to Juniper Village from a rehab center due to a broken hip so my review is based on what I observed upon visiting. As soon as I entered, I felt comfortable. Many residents were in the sitting area; all talking & laughing. As I walked thru the halls, residents greeted me smiling. The staff seemed happy as well. As I said, I felt very comfortable & hope my husband who is developing dementia feels the same way. Give the place 5 stars out of 5 stars.

Jules at Devon Senior Living is a gem. This is the first facility we toured and we had no idea what to expect let alone what questions to ask. Jules gave us two hours of her time allowing us to ask questions, tour the facility, explore the activities there as well as provide a history of the building. Upon entering the building we felt a warmth radiating from the residents that we did not experience at any other facility we toured. I didn't know what to expect once we arrived but I had thought I might be disappointed in the facility due to the age of the establishment. It was quite the opposite however. The new parts of the building have been integrated into the old in such a way as to make the entire facility feel like a home. The Memory Care facility is like no other. Much thought has gone into the care and treatment of the residents. The rooms are a good size and I was actually impressed that no room in the Memory Ward has a shower located within. I felt this to be a very secure feature as we are constantly afraid of Mom falling and hurting herself in the bath. We loved the common areas with their beautiful views and open spacious comfort. The facility is clean, secure, happy, and nurturing. We are hoping to place Mom in this facility as we have no qualms about this facility being the right place for Mom and we can be at peace with the daunting decision to have to place her in an Assisted Living Facility.

Everybody there is so helpful and the residents helped Mom get accustomed with them and dining with them. Just about anything you need you can call the front desk. the place is very neat and clean and the food is good. it was easy for her to get transportation to and from her doctors appointments. This seems like a comfortable and safe place to live.

We're very happy with it. The food looks real good and they have plenty of it. They could have more staff. The reason we chose this over others we saw was the person that I talked to, the sales manager, Janice. We were on the same wavelength, she was very up front, she didn't promise that there wouldn't be any problems, because nobody can, that and, they seemed real friendly. The landscaping and everything, the whole building, is very nice, it's a very pretty building, it looks like a real big house or a mansion they keep it up nice, with painting and new furniture.

My mother was only here for 3 weeks, but even during that short time they really impressed us. We were EXTREMELY pleased with everything. It was a beautiful community, very bright and open feeling. And the staff and residents were all so friendly and inviting, it felt like everyone was welcoming us in. If I ever need to look for senior care again this place will be at the top of the list.

The food is good, she hasn't complained about the food. I looked at about eight of the communities, they had the best price, the best unit size, and the staff was great. Jules is the incoming sales person, she was great I couldn't ask for anybody to have treated me or my mother any better than that. She was professional and handled herself real well.

I can't speak highly enough about this place, it is just wonderful. It's beautiful, and every single staff member I've spoken to has been amazing, particularly Christine who helped me through the sign up process. They've been able to help me in any way I needed, 24 hours a day!

It is an older facility, but my mom loves it there. She is in independent living. She gets one meal a day included in the rent, and everything else is a la carte. They do have services available, which is nice in case she ever needs it. They do lots of trips. She is going to dinner and a play next month, and they do shopping trips each week. They have movies every night and bingo. The whole experience has been wonderful. She is ecstatic!! The food is delicious!

The residence was very clean. I talked to a couple before I entered the building in the parking lot and asked them about the place. I got very positive feedback. I also talked to some of the residents and got very positive feedback. The staff was very friendly and knew everyones name. I watched a brain activity in progress and liked what I saw. The bedrooms are very nice, slightly bigger than some I have seen. On the whole I was very impressed with this facility and it is definitely on my list of possible residences to choose. I am going back with my brother for him to look at it.

My loved one lives at Emeritus and my experience has been very positive. I think they have gone the extra mile to make her feel very welcomed and involved. She has complained that the food is not that great, but I haven't eaten there, so I can't say firsthand whether it is good or bad. They are attentive and kind and I've never had a problem reaching any staff that I've needed to contact. It is clean and activities are well organized. I have a peace that my loved one is well cared for in a place filled with happy residents.

We have been totally pleased with Juniper Village. Everything they offer has met our expectations. They are just a wonderful community and we would recommend Juniper Village to anyone.

Juniper Village is a really clean and friendly place. The food is good. It was the perfect choice for what we needed.
