Everything was clean and [name removed] showed my around to the different apartments. Might be a good fit for now to at least get them use to being somewhere besides there house. I like that it is month to month. Will get the information to my folks today, Its nothing fancy but neither are my parents. Will call you tomorrow

I enjoyed my tour but this is probably not the place for us. There isn’t the care provided there, either now, if needed, or for the future. A very lovely setting.

Did like this location and the separate villas were OK. They went overboard with 3 actual meals/day.

Lunch tour was great. Facility was active and residents very friendly. Food was good. There were several 1 bedroom apts to see and rooms were good size. Concerned about total costs as there seemed to be "add-on's" for the "assisted" services..apparently many places do this to customze. This facility was NOT rated in the LTC insurer, but they are looking at it. This facility seems to be #1 on our list otherwise. We will revisit on Dec. 3rd with Dad.

My Mom really liked this property The rooms are one bedrooms with a balcony. Nice wide hallways and very friendly staffs. The residents were also very friendly and greeted my Mom and I as we toured the property.

Nicely decorated and very clean. Lots of activities and residents are encouraged to socialize. Wide variety of opportunities.

Older facility but smaller, family type atmosphere. Slower paced but offered many activities for clients. Sales manager extremely helpful. Would schedule a visit and possibly have dinner.

I liked his place as Southtowne Ranch two years ago and was not disappointed this time. The hostess was great, [name removed]. People were friendly and residents happy. The room sizes are larger and some uniquely different. Prices were the best with some 2 bedrooms priced the same as the newer facilitie's one bedrooms. One has to believe the new owners{as of Nov 2017} will bring about an even nicer facility as it does need upgrading. This place had he most men I had seen anywhere.

[name removed] was very helpful, as this was our first stop today. The rooms had a motel feeling. Nice grounds. Overall good feel. Limited menu options, compared to other places.

This is a nice place....beautiful apartments....no additional care however in the rent.....it is AL LA CARTE and extra.

This retirement community is treating my mother-in law very well. It is nice and kept up. Dogs are welcome here. SHe enjoyed doing the exercise class. And she loves the food. Everyones is friendly and they have A nice outdoor area. I would recommend this to friends and family.

My mother-in-law is enjoying her experiences at Solstice Senior Living. It’s an independent living facility so there aren’t that many options in respect to the type of care that she needs but she seems to interact with the staff okay. They’ve been helpful whenever she needs something or even when my family has questions. We have been relieved to have her move from living by herself into Solstice. She seems very happy now. She is meeting other residents and getting the social connection that she missed while living alone. There are plenty of things for the residents to do. They have excursions, there’s a social hour once a week, music (sometimes at lunch), and sometimes they play games. She mentioned that housekeeping came by for the first time (usually comes by once a week) but didn’t seem to do much. She doesn’t want to use the washing machine because it has a dirt ring in it so that’s something we’re going to be working on letting management know. The only suggestion I really have is that maybe the housekeeping could be more thorough. Overall, I would recommend them.

This was a really nice community. They have really nice large apartments that were bigger than other places. The apartments are unfurnished but they do include a kitchenette that had a microwave, sink, and refrigerator. The tour guide was really nice and caring. The only reason why I didn't like this facility is they didn't have an open dining time. They only had set meal times and it just wasn't going to work with my Mom. I do recommend this facility.

My father-in-law was looking for a place to live so this is one of the communities that we were able to tour. The director there was amazing. I would've preferred for him to wind up moving in but the facility is a little bit outdated. At the time of our tour, they were about to start doing a face-lift and my father-in-law did not want to live there while there was construction going on, but over all it's a nice facility.

I was originally looking for a place for my dad because he needed somewhere that was assisted living. This place seemed like it was okay from the tour I took. From what I was able to see, it looked clean and the staff seemed really nice. My dad wound up needing a little more care at the time than they were able to provide but overall it was a nice facility.

I had an urgent need for an assisted living residence, so I moved into Harbor Place very quickly. It has been a very positive experience overall. The people and the staff there are all very friendly and accommodating, and I’ve been making a lot of friends. I find that the community is clean and well maintained. They also have activities throughout the community, and each day, the activity schedules are printed on the food menus in the dining rooms. There are free classes on various subjects, water aerobics a couple of times a week, and other activities. One thing that I’m not used to, however, is their mealtime policy. When meals are served, you must get to the dining room at the scheduled meal time. Coffee is served to everyone, and the rest of the meal is served course by course. I have been there at times when it takes up to two hours to get served. They also don’t seem to have many options for people with special diets. Overall, the food does taste good, but the service is not efficient, and the options are somewhat lacking. New management is moving in though, so these things may change for the better soon. Over all, given my urgent need, I find Harbor place to be a worthwhile community.

Dad really loves this place he said it makes him feel like he's at home with the high ceilings. The staff is wonderful and friendly. The food is great if he doesn't go out to eat. He's around more family. The grounds and inside stays nice and clean. The only thing that could change is the decor it just needs a little updating. Overall I would recommend this community.

I toured the Carlyle on behalf of my wife. The community is small, which is a plus if you’re hoping to make sure that your loved one will get the attention he or she needs. It was also very well maintained, however, we ultimately chose another community for my wife’s care.
