My mother loves this place the food is great and the people are definitely friendly and sharisse is the best as far as caring for my mother. Overall is Worth every penny and best of all it’s not that expensive. It’s a great place.

They've changed management since we first moved her in. Since then, I don't think it's as clean as it used to be. It seems to need some maintenance cleaning, like deep cleaning the carpets, etc. But the staff are all very friendly. Meals are convenient, but service is slow and the food is bland. But it's so easy for her. The weekly visits to the stores are easy for her to use as well. And the weekly nurse is very convenient as well.

It's really nice. We picked this community because of the cleanliness , and it had an inviting appeal to it everybody very friendly.

It's nice to be with similar people and those that truly understand my situation.

Facility is overall good. Meets mom's needs. She's happy! Housekeeping has gone downhill. I've notice a smell of urine in one hall which comes from the individual apartments. Hallways should be vacuumed more often. Laundry facilities are favorable. Clean and well kept. Food is deplorable! Mom was served spaghetti with sauce, (no protein), mashed potatoes and a dinner roll! That is not a balanced meal. No fresh salads or vegetables. That's probably my only complaint. (I would like to remain anonymous!) The Home Health Care staff is PHENOMENAL! I have mom in a one time a day visit. They're fabulous and communication is great. Socialization is good. People are very nice. Beauty salon is fabulous! So nice to have something on site! Very affordable too. Grounds are well kept, clean and pretty. Very comfortable. Mom is happy.

Employees are very friendly. Always want to do their best. They can use another maintenance man. Very hard for one person to do everything. And sometimes you have to wait a long time for a repair. Food is just ok. They can probably use another casual type cafe to just get a sandwich or slice of pizza. or salad if you don't want a whole dinner. And set a time frame to order and eat so resident can be more flexible and not just have a "meal time". But all the employees and administration are very helpful. I have a very crabby and negative future mother in law and employees and administration are VERY sweet to her and understanding. Always trying to "make it right" for her.

The biggest selling point was the people and the overall atmosphere in the building. Both residents and staff were friendly and helpful.

Very friendly and helpful staff. And Solstice is very economical. It's about half the cost of most assisted living homes. Granted they don't have the in-house assistance that may be needed. But they are very accommodating on bringing outside Medicare purchased help in. Also, the apartments are cleaned once a week and bed linens washed and replaced.

Staff are professional and very helpful Apartment sizes are great and amenities offered are very nice. I would recommend Solstice Senior Living at Columbia.

My mom had to move because she needed more active people - there were more residents who had more needs than my mom who is still active. The staff was terrific, they seem to genuinely care. Also, the food was pretty miserable and my mom is not even a foodie - it felt like a low-end cafeteria, but I know they are working on changing that. The activities are too geared for inactive people.

Apartment cleaning needs some more attention to detail. The common area carpet always gets cleaned, but looks dirty. There are some very messy tenants and they need to hold tenants responsible for their mess to help cover the expense. The food quality needs improvement, as well as having more selection. My mom enjoys all of the games. She does not participate in crafts, but she also likes Happy Hour and the off-site activities. They did have a substantial increase at renewal of [fee removed] due to inflation.

I need hi-protein, low-carb. Because much of the food is hi-carb, I have chosen to eat most meals elsewhere. I am highly mobile and very involved beyond the Solstice domain, so I haven't participated in activities. Yes, I would recommend this community to other families. As a matter of fact, I have recommended Solstice to others. It is an excellent community.

after some initial issues with possibly missing items from my mother's room, she has begun settling in to her apartment. she loves the food, the library, the back garden, and the weekly outings with the facility's transportation team. she has started making friends and is feeling comfortable living there.

It's been a pretty good experience so far. A few hiccups, but the most important things (timely meds and meals) are going well. Most of her CNA's are good.

The administration is okay. Staff changes a lot. New cafeteria staff changes almost every week. My dad's rent has gone up $[removed] the last 2 years. We are not happy about that at all. He's on a fixed income

I really enjoy living here. The atmosphere is always cheerful and friendly. The food is so important to me and recently I was taken out for dinner by my family and the ribs we have here are incredible. Put the ones I ordered at the restaurant to shame. The kitchen staff works very hard to provide great meal choices and the serving staff is friendly and helpful. I am so glad I moved in here.

I would definitely recommend this to a friend or even a stranger I have recommended them to people who come into my tasting room.The rooms have been remodeled and the floor and carpets are renewed every time someone moves out. The staff and the grounds are very nice. It is one of the more reasonably priced facilities at its level In California or maybe even Oregon and Arizona also.

We feel like our loved one is in a good environment! When it comes to the cleanliness, the service is not often provided even though we pay for it! Our loved one had to be transported to the hospital and his alert system he pays for really worked. Our loved one (and others) complain about many of the meals. They recognize birthdays/veterans/Father's Day etc with a gathering and snack. Rent increases and services (cleaning) decreased.
